This is my experience of DUA since 2016: They flip out 6 new releases each week just so that they can be the first to release. They are just buying in the perfume oil in small quantities so that they can make available 300 or so 30ml bottles or sometimes 100ml and they get their hype merchants to start the hype train so they sell out. This is with the owner coming up with nonsense stories such as "sourcing the Birch Tar from Spain in Aventus" to those who can't prove him otherwise (until they smell it themselves and find that it smells like a rodent cage). By that time the hype machine has moved onto the next 6 hyped and you're left holding a dud that you're assured will transform sometime in the future. LOTS of complaints of poor performance because they just mix the oil and ship out the product. Perfume needs to be aged and matured to ensure homogeneous performance. Reputable companies do this before shipping the product out and testing whether an oil they put at 33% concentration actually has all of the notes of the original and can perform (obviously impossible when the original is 15%). When you complain in the DUA group about the poor performance you'll be jumped on by the previously mentioned hype merchants that your nose is broken or the bottle needs another few months to mature. By that time you will have a hit or miss and more than likely your left holding the dud and the hype merchants sold their bottles long ago. Customers are noticing that the same mid and base notes are in many of DUA's fragrances and some even have an off putting metal note that doesn't go away. Others describe it as the fragrances all smelling of Hairspray. Complaints of skin allergies as everything is "33% when the original fragrance they are cloning was regulated to be 20%. They tried to spin that people "hate" DUA purely because they clone. There are lots of clone companies that have been around as long as DUA and they don't have the persistent negative comments and history of flat out lying to their customers and trying to silence those who question why their hyped fragrance is a dud. They falsely claim that the hate they receive is because they are self titled "disrupting" an industry whilst anyone who's been in the fragrance community for a minute knows its because they have a history of making false claims and suppressing their customers who try to share their experience. Scripted ads are the latest thing they're putting out instead of honest reviews. All templates/ scripts are in the DUA Facebook group.

This is the second time someone has mentioned this brand to me this week. I might have to give it a try. My man Triple B mentioned it so they must be legit!

Haven't tried any of their hybrids but Dua has some solid clones. Bought their clone of L'Homme Ideal Cologne as a backup to my original since it's discontinued (and my OG bottle is at 50%) and it's like 98% close. I prefer their version of Aventus Cologne over the original too since it lasts longer on my skin.

AI Vanille and Poseidon’s Legendary Chariot is one that I would like. I’ve purchased a few Dua Hybrids. Midnight Rendezvous in a Tux and His Intense Aspiration Sport Bianca. I like that they do the hybrid, tribrid, and quadrid fragrances.

If you thought fragrance collecting was a rabbit hole, the DUA rabbit hole is a rabbit hole in the rabbit hole lmao. They do very interesting work though, ESPECIALLY the hybrids many of which are so well blended they’re their own scent. The originals are great too typically.
