Even if that is true, the cost to produce is not the only cost. There are freight costs, customs duties, warehousing costs, transporting costs to the stores, and obvious the retailer takes a cut. Plus let's not forget that they have employees to pay to stay operational. Looking at the manufacturing costs tells you nothing about the true costs a company needs to pay to get a product to you. I know this because this is actually my job.
@@mrsanguini5819 College? I remember one semester when I'd get in at 6-8 am and leave around 7-8 pm. There are even classes that go until midnight but that's a no for me.
$80 is excessive but I have a similar bottle i paid about $30 for, that I often use in my job as a kayak instructor and boat captain. I'm out on water 6 to 8 hours at a time often, and having something keep hot drinks hot in winter n cold drinks cold in summer for 8 hours is a godsend
He was actually being smart, even though the moon was in front of the sun, it wasn’t like that the whole time, as the moon slowly goes in front of the sun, the sun can still hurt your eyes, it’s only safe to look at it without the sunglasses when the moon is fully blocking the sun
@@farisibrahim2661 I can answer that. My Stanley mug functions the same way. When I was in the hospital with blood clots they would bring in ice in the morning, but by the time I woke up it would be half melted. I've legitimately had ice in my Stanley for close to 2 full days without it melting. It was a game changer. It's also fantastic for long car trips.
Its a thermoflask, it has like a vacuum sealed layer between the inside and outside of the bottle, allowing it for the temperature inside to not escape easily.
I have a TAL water bottle from Walmart, I bought it for $15 or something cheap like that and it is probably the best $15 ever. It’s a good size, it fits in cars cup holders, it’s got a nice handle. The only issue I’ve found with it is that it had lost a part of its seal so it doesn’t seal perfectly but it’s still pretty good. Kinda annoying to clean but where it shines is I left that bottle in a car and it was like 80 something degrees so that car was easily over 100. The outside of the bottle was scorching but there was still ice in it. And the water was ice cold. And it’s survived a summer of my abuse with only a few dents in the bottom. Best $15 ever.
For people saying 80$ for that is bad or expensive, it is actually probably the best wayer bottle for atuff like hunting, camping, hiking and outdoors. It can keep ice, it is metal, and really indestructible. Recommended
I have the exact same thing that only cost $20 because it doesn't have the word "Yeti" stamped on it. So, yes, 60 extra dollars for a brand name is absolutely ridiculous....
Bro there’s nothing better than that bedside water staying ice cold as you sip through the night, then having that ice cold water right beside you first thing. That’s living like an absolute king.
I have a 30$ water bottle that keeps ice for 3 days. At the 3 day point it has almost completely melted, but the water is still obviously freezing cold. And it takes another whole day for the water to warm. It’s a Bubba Growler I think. It’s a big metal flask with a top very similar to the one in the video and comes in black teal and pink.
it possibaly happened if the water bottle using a very good conductering metal which allow not just heat but also cold to move along inside the bottle without the energy of the heat nor the cold exhausted
The thing is, I got a specialised Water bottle that can make ice last up to 2 days… and it’s quite large, because majority of the time, I do not want to waste my time to refill it. It costs $125 but considering that it can last up to 25 years, it’s worth the price.
Yep. I get up, put ice in, fill it up as I need to, go to bed, and when I wake up it'll still have ice in it. Not enough to last if I put more water in it, but still impressive.
buy aquaflask, it stays cold for a whole day (sometimes) and it stays hot for 18 hours or more, in the phillippines it costs 1k pesos,so that would be 20$ in america.
The inside is made out of metal and metal can be a conductor for cold things so the metal stays cold and the ice stays cold too but it slowly melts because of the water
I have a (much less expensive) Yeti tumbler that I LOVE because it can keep iced drinks good overnight in case I don't want to finish them in the same day. I just throw in some extra ice into my iced coffee/tea and drink it the next morning.
Soups my friend! Everyone remembers it keeps things cold, but keeping things warm is the key to this invention! Having a hot soup out of Yeti on a ski lift is a God Tier experience
Up to 16 hours of youre in Alaskan snowstorm or if you TRULY BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. NOTE: company not at fault if you lack the self esteem and don’t truly believe in yourself ****
There’s a vaccum* in between the 2 layers of metal. That’s why it can’t fit in the cup holder. *space with no air in so heat and cold can’t get through as much
I had a thermos that kept water cold for two days but it didn't cost $80 😂 With YETI, you're really paying for the name and quality assurance more than anything else.
I mean I have a waterbottle that's insulated and the ice last in it for quite awhile. It's a metal one. It's not yeti, but a hydro flask or an alternative is just as good.
