Dry noodle hack for noodles like mi goreng : Leave a tiny bit of water in after draining, put it back on the stove on low heat and "stir fry" for 30 seconds with all the sauces. Even better if you crack a raw egg and let it coat the noodles.

It's very worth tho. I've tried it and it is a 10/10. Buldak follows pretty closely for reference. another reason it's way more expensive is because it's actually imported from Japan

My old roommate randomly took one of my Buldak noodle packets and texted me complaining about how hot is was and that I couldn't possibly eat it and was the asshole for having it in the pantry even though he took my noodles. I had eaten numerous cases of it before then.

And I think your not supposed to heat the packaged ramen seasoning in the pot. The heat would affect the flavour. Although I heard it's quite common in Korea, it's a choice.

My fave out of all of those noods are the Samyang Buldak and Indomie Mi Goreng. They're my number ones!! Tbh tho, I prefer the Samyang Carbonara noodles because they're a little creamy. From what I remember of Shin Ramen (OG and black), imo, it's not "mid" but it's not as amazing as a lot of people make it out to be. I think it's definitely a good go-to as an "intro" to better instant noodles if you move up from the cup noodles.

I remember me and my husband trying the 2x and 3x Buldak ramen, and it just tasted sweet to me. We also tried adding gochujang hot to it and it just did nothing. The sauce itself also tasted sweet lmao

Because its spice is like that, it tastes sweet in the mouth but the after taste gives the burn, especially when you eat a significant amount.

Shin ramen black but with a reduced stock (let noodles sit aside in strainer while reducing) and a slice or two of cheese is just the most wonderful thing ever. Bonus points if you throw in some extra protein like tofu.

Oh wow! Here in Brazil, instant noodles is literally called "miojo". Like, all instant noodles are miojo. I just learned "Myojo" is a japanese noodle brand, so that's where the name came from! Never saw that brand before!
