Hey! For the antimicrobial brushes i would suggest doing culture cups so you can see what bacteria develops. A clean uve brush and a used uve brush against a clean and used brush of another company
I brought the same air up and so far I have had a great experience with it! I realy think it depends on your taste buds or sentness or whatever it uses to taste and the pod (watermelon is my favourite) I also think it works better for me as I’m younger mabey? So I think it works differently for me everyone!
I mean, a lot of store mineral water that claims to be this and that flavour doesn't actually have any flavouring, just scent additives. Read the ingredient list! Sounds dumb, but you might be surprised 😅
finally someone does an honest review of air up. the whole thing just sounded like a scam from the get go. if you really struggle that much to drink regular water that you need to add something to make it taste like fruit or candy, just make some of the fruit flavored teas instead of inhaling artificial food odors
Anti-microbial things usually just make it so that the bacteria/mold/etc can’t stick to it or make it inhospital for things to grow on them rather than killing them :) so it may not kill things that are there but rather make it so that it can’t grow and form large amounts of it like in other brushes. I bet you the softness of the brushes are just a side effect of being antimicrobial- most surfaces I have worked with in a lab that are antimicrobial are also very soft!
Can we get an update on your sisters opinion on the 3 min red light? To see the difference between skins. I get those exact same nodules and even if they don't pop up I get stubborn discolouration so maybe something like the red light would help that. Love your videos always so helpful

u should try the cirkul water bottle! it’s similar to the airup but it actually flavours the water, has different settings for amount of flavour, and doesn’t seem as chemically!
Do you use setting spray or anything over it to make it look more skin like? I find that powder foundations don’t look like skin bc they’re too matte and skin naturally has a bit of shine.
I may need to get some of that foundation. The difference from the first swipe was amazing! I really need to find a super heavy duty concealer though. I worked nights for a few years, and then 60 hour weeks, and then had 3 babies in 4 years. My undereye circles are DARK and permanent lol. Any recs?
Rachel's videos are fun and informative. The water bottle with the flavored pods are the most surprising to me when I watched your and Christopher's reactions. It seemed to good to be true. It would be a hard pass for me too.
My 10 year old is using the air up all the time and loves it. She completely stopped asking for any sweet drinks. It says the pots are good for 6l, but she has be seen using the current pots for over 20l and are still good. I think the problem was that Rachel used it straight out of the packet, maybe it needs some airing.

HOW TO TEST BRUSHES - Idea Create agar for bacteria (teaspoon of beef stock powder cup of water 1 teaspoon of sugar 1 teaspoon of gelatin Saucepan for boiling mixture 2 x Petri dishes Spoon Sticky tape Felt-tip pen to label petri dishes Cotton swab (optional)). Then you could rub the brushes on the agar and incubate at room temp where you would store your brushes, or you could use an incubator, but really it wouldn´t give the same environment so just leave them out and check back in a week. Then you can see the culture growth :D
I got the (infamously expensive) Dennis Gross LED mask for Christmas and it’s been awesome! I use the combined light setting most nights and find my skin to be smoother and spots to be less painful. I haven’t gotten as many cystic spots since starting it either. Definitely an investment and one to snatch up during the savings event, but the convenience of the whole mask v. a wand is worth it!
I got an amazing large mask off of Amazon. It has 7 light options for the various skin issues you want to target. I chose it because not only did it come with a detachable neck section, but the mask actually goes to my hairline, where I have sun spots that I want to treat. It's by Verosky.
Do a lil culture study in petri dishes . Use a standard brush as a control, wash a brush and test and then test that one. Swab and isolate them. Make sure you use the same products at the same time with the same amount of uses to make sure the test is as accurate as possible :)
I use the drugstore Olay moisture ribbons plus body wash and it’s probably the best moisturizer from a body wash that I’ve ever tried before. They have a few different scents.

I have read so many mixed reviews about the 'air up' bottle. I like the idea behind it but was unsure whether it actually works. So thank you for trying it! Another thing I was wondering if you'd heard of was the HiSmile flavored toothpaste? They have Watermelon, Red Velvet, Coconut Whip, Peach Ice Tea, Mango Sorbet. Anyone tried this?
I have tried Red Velvet, Watermelon, and Mango Sorbet. Red velvet is my fav tho it's so yummy and sweet but not too overpowering. It's so Great for mornings when you want to eat breakfast right after brushing
I’ve been using the Gleamin mask for a few years, it’s made specifically for skin with more melanin in it (aka brown & black skin) and it’s one of the few masks that’s helped with discoloration.

Those water bottle things are a rip-off. The pods come in packs of 3 only...and some of them are 7.99, while others are a whopping 12.99? Why is the pricing all over the place? And this is on their actual website. Added the fact that each pod only lasts for 7 refills? Yikes. And now you're like the second person to say they taste potentially toxic? Nah, I'm good.

Girl i been using this body wash for years simply for the hydration.....thr other one that makes a noticeable difference in my skin is the Olay vitamin C body wash....
I'm baffled by the water bottle. There are so many ways to infuse fruit flavor into water using real fruit, I'm not sure why you'd want a fruit substitute? But I'm glad you tested it because I thought it was interesting. I love these kinds of videos even if it's not a product I'm interested in because they're so fun to watch.
What surprised me the most is the MUFE is still not cruelty free 😂 I want that foundation but it's not worth it for me if they can't give up animal testing
I was hoping the AirUp bottle would be cool but nah. Cirkul has been amazing for my boyfriend who loves flavored water. I hate cleaning his water bottles, and Cirkul makes it infinitely better, since no flavoring is added directly to the bottle. It tastes good and can be easily adjusted. There's a ton of flavors. It might not be super practical if you drink a lot of water, because the pods last for 4 to 6 16oz water bottles, depending on how intense you set the flavor.

I've been on the fence about the water bottle. I have food allergies, and I was tempted to try a flavor? scent? of a food that I can't consume. My logic was that I could have the feeling of consuming said flavor without the reaction. I'm glad that you tried it for me instead!
have you tried Dove's Body Love Moisture Boost Serum-Infused Body Cleanser? I liked the fragrance in it and it has hyaluronic acid and Moringa oil in it. I wonder how it compares to the olay body wash.

The bubbling from foam is apparently due to the compactness. I emailed scrub daddy because the same thing happened when I tried it for the same time and that's the explanation they gave me.
Interesting that air up has only arrived to you now. As it is a German company I've been seeing it for years now. Funnily enough, I only see people using their air up bottles but not the pods anymore. I guess the horrible smell/taste is the reason. 😅
I forget, but have you tried Cirkul? It's at Walmart and it's regular water with an insert you add to have flavor. There's a dial from 0 flavor to full flavor. I've been SO hydrated lately because Cirkul has made water fun again for me. My favorite so far is the mixed berry if anyone tries it. 😊
I love my air up bottle, and I hope she tries some of the other flavors. I love the peach and apple and berry. I agree that the flavors she tried are nasty, I hope she tries some of the others.
Regarding the Acne Light treatment. I got a mask version for my daughter a number of years back, and she had good result with it. It was nice because you could wear it and treat the whole face without having to HOLD it in place for several minutes. You did have to keep your eyes closed though.
That foundation really surprised me! I love my liquid but might give this a try. I was really interested for the water bottle because I love flavored water so much but something about the concept just didn’t seem complete to me and now I what, it’s that the water has gone over your taste buds before the scent can probably register. And I cannot imagine a scent replacing taste, those are separate senses after all

I was thinking about getting the water bottle. I have to use water drops or I throw the water back up... I can't drink plain water my doctor doesn't know why, but they think my tricks my body into saying it's drowning, the only thing that helps is flavored water... to bad I was having high hopes for that!
Sorry, but I think I did see a little yellowing of your skin when you washed off the mask. I don’t think it’s stain free like they claim. It wasn’t a lot of yellow, just a very slight tint of yellow left on your skin 😳😬
