Some guy in his thirties sent my 78 year old mother a picture of himself naked with a friend request. I friended him under her name and then proceeded to share the picture with every single one of his Facebook friends. He wasn't happy about that.
i actually found you because my grandma was scammed this way for over 20k, and i wanted to better understand so i could explain and help her... i found you and i was able to show her your channel and YOU did all the work showing her, so now her and i watch you together!!! Grandma if you see this, I LOVE YOUUUUUU!!!!!!
@@jannygirl11 People need to hear the way they do that switching in a second. To see how easy they find it to manipulate people. Those scammers are scum.
dude it truly is! my older next door neighbor deals w/ these ppl all the time and the amount of manipulation they put this woman on disability through is ASININE. Kit's doing the lord's work
Didn't their parents raise them? So cringy, I would be so ashamed if I was watching these videos and suddenly noticed one of those scammers was my son.
I worked in banking for a few years and seeing romance scams is one of the saddest parts of the job. Quite a few times I had to explain to people that the person they thought they loved isn’t real. The heartbreak that you witness in real time is awful.
That is awful! Can you reoort it to the police? It's so hard to convince people who are deep into a scam that they are being scammed.@great-garden-watch
@great-garden-watch my friend's father was being scammed in person. The bank called her to tell her that her dad was up there at the bank cashing a check with the person present with him. My friend name is on his checking account. She asked what the amount was on the check. She told them to cash it (it was a small amount) she ended taking the check book away from him.
I absolutely LOVE how kitboga can always slip things like "that's so cringe bro" into calls and it always seems to go unnoticed by scammers!!! 😂😂😂 so great!!
@lma5508 clearly you havnt watched as much kitboga as I have lol. There are TONS of times when he does it and isn't muted. It's literally part of the humor.
@@fugithegreatyep and the worse thing is that they open another account acting as the same person once promising that was not them then they ask for more money and play with ya affection again. It's horrible
Unless you have lost thousands of dollars to scammer woman just because you are so desperate for affection you will never know how much it hurt. Sadly I am so desperate I keep going back to dating sites hoping the next girl to message me will be real.
thank u Kit!!! my next door neighbor is nearing 60 and the only family she has left is her two grown sons. she'll come to me WEEKLY telling me abt this man that she really likes... only for them to be a scammer. and they will play the long game too. she had a dude message her daily for THREE MONTHS straight before asking for money. it breaks her heart every time i have to tell her it's a scammer!! what's even worse is that since they talk so often, these scammers KNOW her only income is disability checks. and they will still try to scam upwards of 200+ out of this woman. i'm gonna send her this video so she knows more abt the warning signs, so helpful!!
I'm a nurse. I'm taking care of an old man who was scammed by a woman in Africa who said she was in love with him. I feel so sorry for lonely old people who get ripped off by these scammers. It makes me so angry, but the old person being scammed is so convinced that the other person actually loves them. It's really sad.
Sometimes I feel sorry for old people but a high percentage of officially old people (70+) that I know are horrible people. Stubborn, greedy, judgmental, homophobic, racist, and self-righteous is just a few of the ways I can describe quite a few of the senior citizens that I know. That doesn't mean they should be robbed of their money, but I feel that they are responsible for their own well being. And they should be aware of the modern society in which we live. There have been scammers as long as there has been human beings. So I have a difficult time feeling sorry for them. They should have been more informed.
In the U.S. the money is claimed by the state. If they were on Medicaid/Medicare, their assets (houses/property)are surrendered to the state unless it is specifically in their will, even if they do have living relatives. @@pedromarques9267
Lawyer here. We actually use the term "baby lawyer" for those who have been practicing fewer than 5 years... so when I heard Kit talk about baby lawyers and ball pits with all the kids in the background, it took me a while to stop laughing. 😂😂😂
@skelter1153 I practice in Texas...feel free to look me up. 😉 Edit: I know that folks typically hate lawyers until they need one, so why would I lie about that? 😆 Take care.
The “barrister” was getting angrier and angrier. I think he knew that he was being trolled, and he thought that Eli was also in on the trolling/scambaiting. This was hilarious! 😂😂
My husband and I watched this episode at separate times and we called each other to see if the other has seen it.. I just want to say - we can now not hang up any phone calls without going “Mmmhhhrrrmmmuaaaaaah!” Thanks again for the laughs 😂
I ALMOST CHOKED WHEN HE SAID "WHAT INSOLENCE IS THIS??" The kissing thing had me dying. Omfgg that might be the funniest thing i see before the year ends thank you Kitboga. Somehow you turn the darkest of things into beacons of hope!
I laughed all the way through. Kit is the best..... I love him. I started watching when he first started. He saving so many people from losing everything. I wonder how many have stopped because of Kit amd if hes ahd anyone prosecuted
When he sang back, I was fit to be tied😂 this is my favorite thing to watch, you guys are really heroes. I've never been scammed but I sure appreciate the work you're doing for others.
I wonder if it's possible to rig it somehow so that when you have two scammers on the line, they each sound like a grandma to each other and talk to each other thinking they're scamming the old lady. I wonder how far they would go declaring their love before catching on.
realistically its not impossible, you would just need to do some tricky audio routing, so whatever audio you recieve from a scammer is input through a voice filter before being output to where ever you need it go. so in theory, yeah its probably possible albeit a little technical, would be funny to see it work
I watched two scambots try to scam each other on Facebook once, but it was just a thread and was interesting. But Facebook loves the bots as long as you pay them a bot fee
@@robing9967what are you talking about? That would be very simple to set up in fact... Tricky audio routing? You mean literally setting up audioprofiles for in- and output devices? The only challenge is that you need to have the calls routes through your pc, or set up relay skype accounts for both of them
Grandma is a playa! Kitboga has fully made this into a Bachelor level show, without them realizing it…but seriously, glad that K is bringing more attention to this kind of scam!
@@LuigiMordelAlaume I suppose she would naturally be the first “golden bachelorette” following the recent first “golden bachelor” edition. Edna’s got lots of loving to, uh, spread around I suppose. 😱😱😱
Davis really wasn't trying that hard. I think Eli is the kind of man who would cherish you in your later years. He just has that caring tone in his voice when he talks to you.
22:17 😂😂😂 I'm not sure. I liked the fact that Davis said it was up to Edna. That shows how much he respects her. Eli was more pushy, trying to get rid of Davis; not truly caring about Edna's feelings. So, if I were Edna, I think I'd chose Davis, because he would allow me to make my own decisions, and follow my heart. 😂
@@MaryCaroline-qt2fz I'm totally team Eli. Eli cared so much he was willing to harass and scare Edna if she even talked to another man. THATS how you know the love is real. 🤣
I was reading the other day about an older woman in Jacksonville, Florida who stole over $100,000 from a library charity, and mortgaged her own house, just to send it all to a love-botting scammer she met on Facebook. It's insane.
omg!! this HAS to be the best and the worst! thanks for raising awareness to these disgusting types of scams. What is most disappointing is that these scammers seem to be educated people and they turn to such disgusting crimes. Good job Kit.
It's astonishing to see how persistent these scammers can be and the lengths they'll go to steal personal information. They are well trained to manipulate emotions. Always be careful and never share sensitive details unsolicited.
I feel you but at the same time BRO they are garbage at being manipulative, feels like some dude saying "you are going to go behind the bars" idk I get how people fall into it. I have a family member that did but goddamn man all these scammers are straight garbage at their job it blows my mind🤦
@@Nick-jr9pc They are looking for a particular victim that isn't all there. Somebody who would pick up on these silly details wouldn't fall for it in the first place.
Ok, you singing a lullaby for him to stop him from “crying” had me wake my girlfriend up from laughing so hard in bed. Within 24 hours of discovering your channel, I’d have to say you’ve achieved top spot in subscriptions. Your videos are outstanding and they would take up a lot of time to cut together. You’re doing great work. Ethically and creatively. I’d love to edit for you if you ever need an extra set of hands. Keep up the great work.
My elderly aunt was almost scammed by a Opera Shopping Facebook thing. Her card wouldn't go through and she asked me for help. Good I could help her before they got her money
That happened to me. I saw something pop up on FB, went to buy it and it said card declined. the next day there was a charge of $233 CAD on my credit card that I did not purchase. Luckily the bank reversed the charge.
These ads are out of hand. I dont use fb, but here on you tube..all those too good to be true. Leading with brand name stores. I called nationwide, took me 6x not to get "you won $100!" I talked to the agent finally, we could only think they were getting in over VOIP. Now, i sound a bit crazy, telling mom.."buy NOTHING unless you talk to me! Its mostly a scam..no its all scams!" And, i feel bad as soon as someone calls from say lol..my insurance, and it is a indian, not scamming. 😔
online banking and shopping has become dangerous for elderly people. They are too trusting and not tech savvy enough to recognise all the usual red flags. They don't stay up to date with information.
I used to have a Facebook business page. The reason they don’t take down the scammers is because they straight up encourage it. They sent me so much information on how to set up bots and how to interact with potential customers and basically it comes down to as long as you pay the fees to Facebook, they won’t take down a scammer.
For real. My dad fell for a hacked friend sending phishing link and lost his account. To get back into his own account, Facebook wanted a photo of his passport. His PASSPORT! We decided to report the account as stolen and the scammers are STILL sending out messages pretending to be my dad asking for money to this day. Luckily he's been able to let most on his friends list know to block and ignore anything from him on there, and that he won't be back on FB.
@@jazzabighits4473 ikr fb is full of dangerous groups such as the ones making their autistic kids drink bleach to cure their 'parasites' (which are actually part of the kids' intestines, sloughed off by the damaging effect of the bleach, and so on goes the cycle of abuse). They refuse to take these down, also anti science and anti-vaccine groups, again people guilty of the medical neglect of children. People who don't take their diabetic kids to doctors etc. Yet I got a one month ban for calling those people stupid.
THANK YOU!!!! I was almost assaulted by a guy from Facebook dating! I received a ton of rude messages from them the next day. THANK YOU for creating this video.
Man you are so crazy lol…I am glad you are on our side. I deal with the public…and anyone over 60 I end my transaction by telling them about you. I even play your videos while I get their paperwork ready…usually the bathtubs 😂
Please take these people out as soon as possible because they have hurt so many people and I’m one of them and I know I’ll never see my money again. Thank you so very much for all you do to help us all be safe and not lose our money on horrible people who steal our money. Thank you so very much! ❤
Well realistically this isn't going to stop them, only raise awareness of these clowns and slightly disrupt their activities since these scammers tend to practice a lot of different scams on the side often enough, so you may not find the same ones doing the same thing over and over if they can help it or if they're truly that clever, also helps them from getting caught and exposed for the most part. Best we can do is make a joke out of them and laugh at them, or discover their true identities so they get caught by the authorities really.
So sorry this happened to you. From the comments, it seems like it's happening to many people. It's really messed up and with most of them in other countries, prosecuting them is nearly impossible. How did they get you to pay them and what method of payments did they use? Your bank might have something they can do.
Ps. Love the red hair! I have red hair, got picked on every day the whole way home from school as a child, but then In high school, they all wanted my hair and dyed their hair red! Go figure. 🙄 So.. Us Irish got to stick together! 😂❤
@@speaklifegardenhomesteadpe8783 I was asked to buy gift cards, and I was going through a lot of stress trying to figure out how to fix my house without it being torn apart. Long story short I thought I had a friend that would help me out, but he only needed money. I felt so stupid that I had given up on him because his stories were repetitive. He finally admitted that he was a Nigerian man who was trying to find a job, but there’s nothing there. I told him that I had so many injuries that I had a lot of pain and metal in my body. I just love seeing you tormenting these people and turning it into a nightmare for them for once! Thank goodness for people like you that can intervene and shut them down when they are after as much money as possible. The yelling and disrespect to the elderly is not cool, but it’s gaslighting at them. They don’t even realize what hit them until it’s done.
My mom was scammed by this sort of thing. I told her it was a scam but she wouldn't listen to me. I told her about you but still she didnt want to believe it. She lost a lot of money. Thanks for messing with the scammers and continuing to try and put an end to it. Love your stuff. You put one of my fan drawings in your stream picture rotation and that meant a lot to me. Thank you
What I find the strangest is the fact that the "lawyer's" second name is barrister. Whether it's because they were so uncreative that they just went with a synonym, or thought that it wouldn't sound fake at all that a lawyer is named Barrister is beyond me
these scams are often targeted to the slightly-less-intelligent. smart people are harder to scam so you want them to hang up as soon as possible. there's probably a lot of people who don't know what the word means but it tickles a subconscious memory that strengthens the lawyer story
From cringing with whatever the scammers were doing and saying, to getting annoyed MYSELF from Kit giving them kisses while they were trying to speak, this call made me want to tear my eyelids off. Thank you Kit!
@@Beaneabean@scubasteve6175 Y'all are aware that Cummings is a real last name? I suppose every woman you met named Fanny and every man named Willy was just joking instead of giving you their real names lol

If you think the effort Eli put in here was good jeez! You should never post on facebook! I think they'd forget about scamming and want to marry you for real.
I honestly don't understand giving a total stranger any money. I'm almost 70 years old and my common sense just wouldn't allow my brain to believe some person I dont know and have never met is irrationally in love with me. Pleeeeeeeeeeze!!!

It's the kind of situation that would be HIGHLY uncomfortable if it were real, but I know Kitboga had it in the palm of his hand and it had me rolling on the floor. The sheer absurdity of how much "kissing" over the phone is going on is just... something. This scammer is DESPERATE.

Omg, he warned about cringe from the jump but oh my god. I have to take a break. That dude sounds legit embarrassed about the romance scam lmao. He's still gonna go through but I feel like he is regretting getting his friends involved because its so cringe. Hahahaha. Kit, once again, is a fucking genius.
there's a video on the Catfished page, of the scammer making revolting slurping kissing noises, and the sad part is the lady getting scammed didn't get put off at all
They go on dating websites too. I caught a few using Military pictures and turned it over to the Feds to investigate Nothing ticks me off than a scammer using innocent soldiers for their games. It goes against the Stolen Valor Act.
It's amazing to me how many different scams are out there, I've been watching Kit's videos for a while now and I never get bored because these idiots just won't stop trying to steal people's money.
