I’ve tried both and the ones at Target with booster are not near as good as the mail product. I had to use twice as much product (but it’s less $) 🤷‍♀️

Can you do a video comparing the function of beauty shampoo & conditioner to your normal shampoo & conditioner? Would be easier to tell if function of beauty is doing anything significantly better than store bought. Just an idea!

I wanted to like the function of beauty products I bought but I have the same issues a lot of people do- you use a ton of product compared to the salon brand I was using before and something is off about the conditioner. My hair is very brittle feeling which is very odd because I don’t have dry hair. It’s not worth it.

I’ve tried the Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner... it was pretty good the first two washes, but my hair did not like them long term. I also have a LOT of hair, and a very dry scalp. I struggled getting the product to lather up, and really the experience of washing my hair was not enjoyable. Smelled nice though.

I love the TruEarth strips!! They do a great job of getting rid of odors and cleaning clothes. I have the same scent as you and I like how it dissipates - not too strong once washed.

Both my mom and I are in love with the laundry strips! I have the fresh linen and she has the unscented ones. I actually love that 30 seconds of tearing it into pieces, and it doesn’t end up being overly scented just very light. I have to be really careful about fragrances because scents are a major migraine trigger for me, but it’s perfect (especially because I love that clean laundry smell)

The Thrive mascara is the only one I’ve found that doesn’t smudge under my eyes, and their brow gel is fantastic for me as well.

I’ve been using them for over a year and I love them! I use the unscented version, and I’ve never had an issue with the gumminess she had on her first wash cycle so that had to be her machine or dispenser setting. It’s so nice too since at the end you have just a small cardboard sleeve to recycle instead of a big plastic jug. Plus you can also order them as a subscription but it’s super flexible depending on how much laundry you do. I would definitely give it a 10/10. Not sponsored either 😂😂😂

I recommend the EcoEgg, it’s amazing and takes up basically no space. The stuff you fill it with seems to last forever, like it’s been a year since I topped it off and it’s still going strong. There’s one for colors and one for whites. It’s saved me so much money compared to detergent.

Tami I use soap nuts or soap berries - they take up hardly any space and are 100% compostable, so you generate zero trash. Definitely check them out for bus life!

Those laundry sheets are really good if you’re traveling (remember that?) ive used similar products and they’re nice because you can pack them in your carry-on, not as a liquid, and then you can wash and re-wear/pack light easier

Love frownies for the "11s" between the brows. I found they work best when used a few nights in a row, really diminishes those lines. Though temporary, they're totally non-invasive.

My husband is a travel nurse so we move all over the country every 4 months. Traveling light is a necessity but it is super hard to travel with laundry detergent. We just leave it behind for whoever has the airbnb next. But having little sheets of paper rather than a heavy liquid container could change everything!

For anyone on the fence about Function of Beauty - I bought my first shampoo & conditioner (the largest size, can't remember off the top of my head but think it's 32oz) in April 2020 and have only just had to reorder (Feb 2021) after using it every other day since then. It lasts for SO long, and I have noticed a serious difference in my hair while I've been using it, so for me it is absolutely cost effective. Absolutely 100% recommend! Also, if you go for the strongest scent level you'll find it lingers in your hair (which I like, but I know others may not).

We have switched permanently to the tru earth laundry strips a couple months ago. We have a top loading he washer. They're awesome, clean well (we use unscented), and I love how little space they take up on my shelf and having one less plastic jug to recycle.

FoB was a waste of money for me. My hair stayed frizzy, didn't help with that at all and I had a heck of a time brushing out the snarls. I used it up and went with Olaplex. My hair loved it and is much happier

I have used the Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner for over 6 months now, and I love them!! Over time, my hair has gotten healthier!! They are now selling at Target, and I purchased them for my daughter. The quality definitely isn't the same. I'm going to continue purchasing the fully customizable products online. They're definitely much better than the semi customizable available in store.

I've been using the function of beauty for almost 2 years and it has been life changing. I use to think I had super greasy hair so I'd wash it almost every day with something that made it feel like hay no matter what I used but in reality my scalp was just unbalanced. I can go 3 days in between washes now so I don't use as much product. It is a little expensive but when you don't have to use alot it's actually not that bad. I spend not even $100 year because I only need the large shampoo and smaller conditioner. My hair type is wavy, fine and normal. It's amazing what finding out your hair type and using good hair care can actually do for you.

I totally agree. I buy the 4 ounce shampoo and the 8 ounce conditioner and that lasts me about 5 months. I also have oily hair and was washing almost daily before this. I wash my roots and condition the ends and this tip has been a huge health boost for my hair.

I've been using the function of beauty exclusively on my dry coarse curly waist length hair for the past year and half. It works SOOOOO well for me! Better than anything else I've ever tried. Ever. I don't use their skincare or body wash/lotion, so I can't give an opinion on that.....but the shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask products are incredible! I've tried the leave-in treatment and the hair oil also. I find I like those more for the occasional time I straighten my hair and not as much when I wear it curly. That's only because the curl styling products I use don't mesh well with anything else mixed in, not because of the quality of the FoB items. Sorry for the lengthy response, I'm just super impressed by how well my hair health has improved since switching to FoB!

I have been using the laundry strips for several months now and love them! I have the unscented ones though and they work great. The machine in my building is also front loading and I just take one strip, tear once or twice just so it's slightly smaller (which really does not take longer lol) and place it in there. Don't have this powder/liquid slider thingy, but since it's basically compressed powder it should be on the powder setting I suppose. What I love the most is that it is not only skin-friendly with only the most bare ingredients but it also comes in a eco friendly packaging, i.e. no plastic, no heavy jug or carton to carry and it doesn't take up much space in the cupboard either. One of the best purchases I have ever made. From the other products you've shown, the frownies were the most intriguing to me however I am worried about what the heck is in those and whether that is actually good for your skin ;) You should do the same type of video for your other channel maybe with clothes or with kitchen items?

I love the idea of the laundry strips! They would be AWESOME for travelling (when we can again, haha). Usually I take a small bottle with some liquid detergent, but I have to wrap that in a couple of ziplock bags to make sure it doesn't leak through all my clothes. The laundry strips are so compact and wouldn't have the problem of leaking everywhere. You'd just have to rip off a small amount to wash with, definitely checking them out 😁

I have function of beauty and LOVE IT! my issue with most shampoo and conditioner for curly hair is that most seem to be geared towards more coarse and abundant hair and weighed my hair down so bad. The function of beauty ones are custom made for me with fine curly hair. And I've FINALLY gotten my hair to grow to the middle of my back.

Yeah it seems like on powder setting, it would be more likely that the washer would work to dissolve/rinse it out rather than on the liquid setting where it would be more likely to just try to flush it out

I have the eco strips (bought a years supply) and have a front load washer. When I researched other People were just putting the strip into the drum so that’s what I’ve been doing. I really don’t like them. Takes 2-3 washes to clean my clothes or several strips and doesn’t work on stains or cloth diapers.

If you have a Target near you, or are able to find them online, the Goody brand makes hair ties just like that. I have been using the thick nylon style ones for years.

So I've been using function for about a year maybe at this point and I swear the shampoo and conditioner are magic! I started lockdown with a long bob and I selected hair growth as an aim and now my hair is boob length! Im such a convert - worth the money IMO!!

Shampoo/conditioner doesn't make your hair grow. I'm sorry, but how silly. Your genetics is the overwhelming influence of that....not what type of hair product ur using. I feel like a jerk. But seriously don't let the beauty industry trick you into thinking that their product is to blame for the long hair. Because that's what hair does.... It grows. With or without shampoo-- ur hair would have grown to be the same length.

@@ninelives1991 I get that but my sister is a hair dresser and having healthy nourished hair will stimulate growth, if your hair is damaged and you have poor scalp health it will not grow as quickly. Also, you can work on your tone being slightly less condiscending, I don't appreciate being called 'silly'. Not sure what you've gained from that comment other than trying to embarrass me?

I love that you just discovered Thrive!! The cc cream and mascara are my favorites. I have never tried the blurring powder because it kind seemed over priced honestly, the fact that you had issues with it makes me feel like I can use my other powders 😂.

I've heard that while the frownies work, it's one of those things, you have to keep using over and over because they only have a short term effect and I don't know if I can commit to using them all the time so I don't want to see what it looks like and get hooked on them and have to use them constantly. lol

I highly recommend tatcha purple cream, murad retinol green bottle line and olay retinol. no joke all those made my super indented eleven lines between my eyebrows disappear. I used roc retinol for years prior every morning and night, neutrogena, the ordinary, and a popular one sold on amazon in a white bottle. None of those did anything. I also use origins retinol but origins alone did nothing but i think it helps as a booster with the rest of the products.

I actually use tru earth and love it. I find having them portioned helps me not use more than I need to, and I’ve saved so much plastic as a result of ditching the bottles. They have an unscented one which is what I use if the fresh scent is too intense. It’s also nice how light the package is in case you need to do laundry elsewhere, like if you’re at university. I wish I had them back then because I used to lug my giant detergent bottle up and down the stairs to do laundry! Would have been a life saver.

I purchased a bag of tights material hair ties on Amazon. They were $9.99 for 100!! They're just some generic brand but they are the absolute best hair ties I've ever tried. We're obsessed! Also, I've been using them for months and they haven't don't the frayed thing that your's did.

@@krisgreder5472 Not terribly, but much hair is super straight and most hair ties do. When my daughter, who has slightly wavy hair, uses them you can't tell.
