When painting any chrome/mirror paints. You should always use a high gloss black paint. It makes the reflection pop at whole lot more.

I'd like to see how it reacts with glossy clear coat. In my experience with model building and using other chrome paints, the clear coat often degrades the finish of the paint itself. Not sure why?

To make it really shiny, use the "rag" you use to clean your phone screen and polish the paint when it's dry.

I use a airbrush special made for these kind of paints, there is a way to get it that shiny, one thing is a varnish that has super glossy!

There is a video on the site that teaches how to put the paint on very thin with a soft synthetic brush. Less chance of brush marks any time you paint in thin layers.

I used a homemade foam brush applicator to 'paint' with, as I found brushes left bristle lines. The effect I got is stunningly effective, but I found that it totally depends on the surface of the item being painted, and just taking ultra care over every paint stroke as it's just so effing expensive!

I recommend not spending $37 for a tiny bottle--just get Rustoleum's Chrome spray paint.

Melt lead acid battery take lead out and coat thin layer on glass or high temperature surfce then wait for dry under low temperatures then coat glass over. Silver does good mirror too

Beskar Steel!!!! Would like to see how well it actually airbrushes. And probably just as importantly, what to thin it with. Also, putting a high-chrome paint over a high-gloss black will make a notable difference. Alclad is amazing...if I can stuff this stuff through an airbrush....wow.

I think you should’ve dipped the apple to get a similar effect. The airbrush was to thin of a layer, causing the blemishes to show through. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Just a suggestion, would’ve been cool to see

The chrome paint I bought would not dry, remained tacky and looked like lead when touched no matter what I tried with it (time, thin coats etc) and culture hustle customer service ignored my emails. Never again

This was 2 years ago so... But, if you put it on glass and then look through the other side (so you're looking through the glass at the painted back surface) you can make an actual mirror with it.

(Whispers) enamel paint. Chrome auto paint and spray paint, maybe even Testors brand has similiar paint..and nail polish. I'm not dissing it. It looks great but the others might give you the effect for a lot less.

I have got ‘mirror effect solution ‘ which is the next best thing that I could think of to that paint, however to get the mirror effect it’s best to decant into a spray bottle & spray it onto the inside of things like a glass jar ect. I wonder what that mirror paint would look like if you used it like that, as it would mean the brush marks would be eliminated & I wonder if it would look even more mirror like !? 👍🏼🤩

8:40 I tried that once when I was a teenager and to me that smelled exactly like gasoline. Like when a car passes by and for some reason there will be a time when it smells kinda good.
