Barry fun video. Your subtitlers are still getting some words wrong that I'd expect they would come to learn. For example "stonkers" became "stampers" and "falafel" became "fluffy". Since I can hear it's not hard to figure out, but I think this would be rough for your non-hearing viewers. Is there any way for the community to help fix the captions?

My parents had one in the 90s. It wasn't nearly as efficient as this one but you were never restricted to needing a special bowl to store with it. The modern equivalent is definitely the Presto models with the little butter melter scoop built into the plastic lid or other models like that. Definitely a great gadget that allows you to easily make popcorn without the negatives of forever chemicals in the single use microwave popcorn bags. At least here in the USA they have banned Teflon and other chemicals but the makers just used some other chemicals, which we don't know the long term use of.

The bottle top pump would be more useful for bigger bottles and ones that have less product in them. A newly opened bottle with the cap replaced won't go flat too quickly because there is not a lot of air space to repressurize. But if you pour out half the contents, there's a lot more space for the gases to escape and expand into, and being able to pressurize it with outside air will keep a lot more of the carbonation in the liquid.

Since you've already used the herb tool, I think I'll measure everything else for the cooking in the measuring thinggy, like oil, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, since you already need to wash it anyway. Saves the scramble for measuring teaspoons and the washing afterwards.

I mean, I'm pretty sure the herb stripper is meant for those smaller herbs like rosemary and thyme, where the individual leaves are small enough to fill a real volumetric measurement without needing to be chopped up.

I could see the falafel scoop working with cookie dough to make a bunch of pucks, which you can then freeze for later usage. Great way to get uniformly sized cookies or biscuits. Then you can make stonking doughs, have the baked goods look like they came out of a factory, and pretend like there's this legendary bakery that only you know of. 🤣

Mom had this one cook book just for microwave cooking. It had several pages dedicated to all the different "pots and pans" you can buy. Barry I love you and your videos, however, this is definitely not how you make Falafel or how you use the scoop, this scoop isn't a new thing, it's a mandatory tool when you make Falafel. for the Falafel, you dont need to roast the onions and dont add egg or flower, for the other ingredients, they are okay, when the mix is ready, you take a spoon and scoop from the mix in put it in the Falafel scoop and the scoop will shape it, then you *Deep-fry* it, you know it's ready when it floats. *the commenter is middle eastern and makes Falafel every two weeks*

I normally bake my bacon 1lb at a time. But on the rare occasion that I only make a few slices, I frequently use the microwave. The trick to more even cooking and less shrinkage is to cook it longer and slower at a lower temperature. I do 60 or 70% power for regular and 50 or 60% power for thick cut. First it made my mouth feel as though it was scalded, like when you take a sip of very hot coffee, and eventually it made my mouth bleed, all over. I had to stop eating it. I can still eat cooked or tinned pineapple because high temperatures destroy the enzymes, but I mostly don't bother, nothing compares to a juicy fresh pineapple! Sob...

Barry, I hate to break this to you, but cutting up your herbs first is how you're supposed to measure them.

You could put your lemonade bottle middle of the popcorn bowl after you've made the popcorn

Honest question... I am from the US currently living in South Korea. I've noticed that the lemonade here in Korea is always carbonated(fizzy) and now the lemonade you've shown is also fizzy... In the US we call that sparkling lemonade or lemon soda water... Is the US the only place where lemonade isn't carbonated?

The pineapple thing... after you use the tool, remove the core, put the pieces in a bowl, mix with equal parts seedless watermelon and sliced strawberry, and stuff it back into the pineapple. (Of course there will be extra, put it in a bowl.) Put the top back on the pineapple and serve it at a party.

That pineapple corer and segmenter is amazing. You could make some wicked alcoholic beverages in the shells. Pina colada comes to mind

That fizzy drink cap would be perfect for me as I sometimes like a soda but I would rather have it a bit less fizzy!

@14:00 - Mmmm... Thyme... That's become my all-purpose herb lately. I'm useless in the kitchen, so it's mostly canned stuff for me, but a pinch of dried (sorry! :( thyme really kicks canned beans and soups up a notch. edit: For some reason, every hot air popper I've tried ends up setting off the smoke detector, even when producing no visible smoke or fumes. :(

Learn to cook. Pick something you like eating then look up how to make it on RU-vid. Literally 10s of thousands of recipes with full step-by-step instructions on here. I make all our meals, cakes, biscuits (cookies), chocolate bars myself and just made mayonnaise for the first time yesterday and it's lovely - took less than 2 minutes to make and that included gathering the few ingredients. Never buy from the shop again. You save a lot of money too and you know what's in the food.

@@ogrejd So keep trying. You learn by your mistakes. I've been cooking and baking since I was 10. I'm 65 now and believe me, I've made plenty of mistakes along the way. I got thrown in the deep end at the age of 10 when my mother took ill and couldn't get out of bed. My father and elder brother just looked at each other and shook their heads so I said I'd cook the meal. They didn't think I could but I'd watched Mum so often I knew what to do. We had a lovely roast beef with all the trimmings dinner. You don't know what you can do until you try. The secret is don't give up. Start with something simple and work your way up from there. If you get it wrong, for example, you put in too much salt, next time simply put in less salt and taste as you go along. Good luck.

fried crispy in a pan, the salt sticks in the pan, hence microwaved the salt stays on bacon.
