What are you talking about. Most of the video had nothing to do with making the worst breakfast sandwich I've ever seen Edit, at the time I posted this the video was named how to make the perfect breakfast sandwich. So yea it was a bit misleading
that's fair. But if you think about it, this is essentially just an electric griddle cut up and stacked on itself. But like you said, its a one trick machine. One I wouldn't mind having actually 😬
I have the sandwich maker and I can provide a tip of putting the muffin on the bottom, then the cheese, then the meat.... That way the cheese melts and cooks into the muffin. Otherwise as the way you've done it, causes a slick mess and has more opportunity for the cheese to drip out. Also with the egg, actually break the yolk and scramble it a slight bit, it helps with the uniformity of the layer. I've been using mine for about 7 years, a few times a week. Ham as you saw is a bit more moist and causes a bit of a watery drip. I found that daubbing the ham some with some paper helps a little bit, or using a meat like you did with the sausage that doesn't turn so much into a wet mess. Cheers!
When the title said automatic breakfast maker, I thought of a machine that would prepare a whole breakfast itself for me, lol, and ws really curious what kind of a robot it was. IT still is a cool little gadget, if you have space in your kitchen to store it without cluttering your counters. I first liked the idea of auto-stir thingy, but noticing the legs were plastic and it was not stirring the center part, I am a bit dubious. Can opener is great if you are unable to find the old style can openers anywhere, which is my current situation, it seems like nobody sells them anymore :S
I've had the breakfast sandwich maker for years and I love it. I only use half a slice of cheese, which I half again to fit the muffin better. No cheese ever leaks out. I also scrabble the yolk more, like someone else said. Comes out perfect every time.
4:03 I saw that Back To The Future mug. One of my favorite movie franchises ever. Also love that mini cooper mug. I’ve been subscribed to you for about 3 or 4 years now and you never fail to entertain me as your upbeat yet calm voice is relaxing and I’m impressed with all the products and videos you’ve shown over the years👍
I once had the big brother of the coffee maker, well almost. It came with a pot, but you could turn off the heating plate, so I could even brew into my Lazy Mug or my Mighty Mug. It had a build-in coffee grinder with a container that could contain almost a whole bag off coffee beans, and could be adjusted for both coarseness and amount and even turned off for when using preground coffee. You could also adjust how the water was spread (center, narrow shower and wide shower). And it of course had the timer. Downsides: It had an ordinary filter compartment, so you had to use paper filters. And it was also a somewhat bulky.
Dave's channel is one of many reason I started cooking and loved cooking in the first place. First watched his videos in like 2018 or 2019 and instantly loved his videos. He's one of not many RU-vidrs that make me feel like I am not wasting time watching their videos and gives me this calm old school video vibe which I really love. Keep going!
I’ve had one of those breakfast sandwich makers for years. I love it!!! I use a fork to push the yoke down and kinda spread it. Not so much wisk, just spread. Makes it a little more even.
We love our "Yes You Can" can opener, I'm going to look in your bio to see if you have a link for the breakfast maker. Thanks For Sharing ❤ Merry Christmas Dave 🎄🎁🧑🎄🙏🏻
Ah they're great aren't they! Yeah there's links to all the gadgets I've used in the description, I do like the breakfast maker, it's really cool. Merry Christmas to you too 🎄🧑🎄🎄🧑🎄
I own the dual sandwich maker. Make two at the same time or one if you prefer as far as the can opener they're not bad. Just don't open up a tuna fish can LOL you can't squeeze it out + I had it happen once or the battery died when it was mid. Almost finished + it's very hard. Get it to release the sandwich maker though I do love that machine, it's almost used on a daily basis
I have one of those breakfast makers. The way I usually do it is I pre toast the mugfins first then butter them. With my breakfast sandwitches I like my muffins with the cut side toasted and buttered, makes it less dry for me.
I never found ANY of this type of coffee machine that works well for tea. Tea needs boiled water and time to steep. I'd like to hear from a tea drinker if they think it works. I use an electric tea pot. THEY work great! I've been using an electric stirrer, similar to this, for years. It's great when you have multiple pans going, etc. it’s tge extra hand you need for stirring gravies, soups, etc. to prevent burning. They had made one years ago with longer legs, which I REALLY liked. I have that can opener, too. I need to squeeze the can a bit to get the lid off. I had tried an additional magnet, that didn't help. At first I thought it didn't work. Once I tried to squeeze, it worked fine. Good if you have dogs that might rummage through the trash to get a can that’s been opened with a regular can opener. That can be dangerous and the dog, or raccoons, opossums, etc. that can really cut their tongues badly on a sharp edged can. I like kitchen gadgets, too! LOL. I had a sandwich maker similar to that, too. I didn’t like it. I don't remember why.
Dave, Sorted food tried the breakfast sandwich maker, and it was a disaster the same with the stirrer, the can opener could be a good idea for someone with mobility issues but being battery operated it means more land fill, should have been rechargeable. The coffee maker is actually a good idea with the timer. Another good video tho 👍
@@youtubeojunk even more expense to buy a charger and batteries, so many products come with built-in rechargeable batteries these days there is no excuse for them to not do the same it would only cost a few pounds at most. Others on Amazon are rechargeable and don't cost £24.99 that this one does, if a person with mobility issues purchased this then they have the problems of installing batteries.
🤨 ~ looks like the pre-heat indicator on the muffin toaster has been miswired; should be on when it is cold, and should go out when it is hot [operating temperature] ~ all its doing is indicating the thermostat status
I have one of the breakfast sandwich makers (mine is the double sandwich version...can make 1 or 2 at a time) and absolutely LOVE IT and use it often I typically use "real" bacon bits rather than a sausage patty. I add a little on top of the cheese on the 1st level...and sprinkle in some more on top of the egg Also have a version of the single serve coffee maker (again, mine has a 2 cup option..either 1 or 2 cups..but doesn't have the timer which is a great feature...but I'm not a regular coffee drinker so it's not a big deal to me)....but love it as well! I hate the Keurig makers because of the enormous amount of plastic being needlessly put into our landfills
I had to get one of those since i enjoy my breakfast sandwiches. Im sure scrambling the egg more and adding a little shredded spinach would make it better and more consistent. Looking forward to making breakfast sandwiches for the cheap!
I see the coffee maker has LAKELAND on it... Aldi had something identical a couple of years ago for £16.99 called "The Aldi Ambiano Coffee To Go brewer"
25 years ago i had a Breville Brew and Go. Pretty much the same as that coffee machine but without the timer. Ive never been so desperate that i couldnt wait 3 minutes for my coffee 😉
The can opener keeps going and stops itself when flat then the magnet works. You’ll see the opener lifts to an angle at the start then begins to flatten out
I find anytime I make Tea in any machine where coffee has been made the Tea tastes awful, cause of a slight coffee. With this type of machine the Tea isn't steeped at all the water just runs over it then you end up with dark hot water ! Put the bag in the cup and use the machine to make hot water for your cup, Tea kettle is better.
Ah ha - the ubiquitous "Egg McMuffin" Homestyle version 101. Everyone enjoys a breakfast served on a toasted English Muffin - including me. Only I use a toaster and a small frying pan and I get really great results without a Chinese gadget taking up space in the kitchen.
If this machine is what helps some people get that breakfast sandwich goodness in the morning, no shame in getting one. But I think my preferred method will still always be 3-5 min of cooking on the stovetop.
I have had the machine but Never even used it lol and yea its best to crack the egg into a seperate bowl fist to make sure no shells then pour it into the egg mcmuffin maker
The trick to the little breakfast sandwich maker is that once the item is out of the machine, take the top off immediately, carefully of steam releasing. Leave it off for 1 minute, then replace the top. If not, the steam will make the top soggy. The ingredients provide too much moisture converted to steam, especially eggs, ham. We have something exactly like it. It makes excellent Mickey Dee breakfast knockoffs. It's just as good. 👍 We use it in motel rooms at the beach. Beats Mickey Dee's inflated US prices as franchises we are told can charge what they want. Where prices hit a real restaurant, it is time to kiss them goodbye. Although their str8 black coffee is excellent and worth seeking them out on that. Coffee Maker, at home, it's a percolator. Drip, pour over, Meh.
Thats exactly why I bought mine, my dad doesnt have the hand strength he used to, with arthritis and RSI and all, and we just dont even use the manual one any more.
I see just one problem with the stirrer. It doesn't stir in the middle I suspect you need to use it in a pan that is at least one and a half timed its diameter, assuming it will move about the pan.
I actually own the coffee machine, it's a pain to clean properly and after a bit it developed a habit of letting part of the powder through and into the coffee, also you have to be very careful with the mug that comes with it, it easily spills coffee onto you when drinking I will have to throw mine out soon and havent used it in over a year because i can't get it clean properly no matter what i try and it overheats the water and burns my coffee
The stirring gadget concerns me because you are pitting plastic in a heated pan. They really should have the feet part of it in wood or steel so it won't melt if heated too, much.
not sure why so excited over the coffee maker - it is a dupe for a Keurig coffee maker which as been around for years. The can opener is another gadget that has been around for years. My opener is so old I never use anymore - it was never that helpful anyway.
If u have a toaster and microwave it's all u need, Start toasting ur muffin Walmart pre cooked sausage patty (I like spicy) takes like 60sec poached egg, 15gram vinegar and 300grams of water nuke for 90-120sec depending on how u like ur egg. Butter ur muffin, add cheese, assemble and nuke like 15sec
