Bro why were you gone for like 3 months We all missed you😢😢
@chessscape
@chessscape Месяц назад
time to reveal the real reason… I deal with depression since i was a kid….on and off… Sometimes, its just too hard to do videos when i’m feeling v low. I keep fighting and deal with it much better nowadays though. Got back into the gym, eating healthy. I now feel great and motivated again. We all take care of our physical health way more than our mental one… It all starts with your mental one. If you feel good inside, the physical world follows… When you’re a content creator, you’re kind of not allowed to take time for yourself when things dont go your way but i think it’s primordial to switch off, work on yourself and get back in shape to deliver the best value 🙏🏼 Continuing to do videos with lower quality when you’re down is IMO unfair to you. This society rewards people who dont show their weaknesses. I’m human and I believe everyone falls at some point and most several times during their life. The most important is to be able to raise your head, get back in the game and keep fighting again. Problems are not the issue but the way we deal with them. It all started when I was born, my mother left the house when I was 6 months old and disappeared. I have been dealing with accepting that my life started this way my whole life. thoughts like: “if my own mother decided to leave, i must be disappointing, not worth it in a way”. I suffered from the imposter syndrome, never happy with my achievements, never thinking that I was enough whatever I achieved. I was few years back the best interest rates broker in London but managed to destroy this success because i believed i wasn’t worth it. I’m now 45y old and finally accepted the situation, built an amazing family with my wife and daughter I love so much. my wife and daughter helped me understand so many things in life…I believe you cannot call yourself a man or reach real maturity until you become parent. Let’s focus on the present, not the past, not the future… and right now, I am ready to teach you and bring as much value as I can ❤🙏🏼

I have found exactly one opening trap that stockfish claims is bad but still wins me games. And that's 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. c3 Nf6 4. d4 exd4 5. e5 Nd5 6. Bc4 Nb6 7. Bxf7+ Kxf7+ 8. Ng5+. Stockfish evaluates it as like -1.1-1.3 because I'm down a full bishop and my only compensation is their king is exposed. But about half the time, even at my level of about 1400 rapid, opponents will do Kg8 and lose immediately to Qb3+ which is a forced mate in a few moves. The other half of the time they correctly go back to e8 but there's some followups where if they're not careful they can blunder checkmate anyway (usually by trying to force out the knight too fast, which lets the queen enter the attack). As I climb ELO, it'll stop winning as opponents calculate better or just know it. But at my level? If I'm allowed to play that bishop sac, I win about 90% of the time.
@Chess69702
@Chess69702 Месяц назад
about the first trap, it works if you play h6, and you opponent plays Bh5, then the knight sac works
@chessscape
@chessscape Месяц назад
if you play h3 you meant yes you’re right because after Bh5 Ne5 and if Ne5 Qh5 Nxc4 Qb5 check gets the knight on c4 back
@jamess9623
@jamess9623 9 дней назад
@@chessscape Yes that is the Legal Mate/Trap from the 1700's You have to play h3 first so that taking your knight still leads to white up a pawn in the end.

4:11 Qf6 doesn't save the rook because of Bh6. if Qxh6 you take the rook if knight takes, you get the queen if queen takes queen, bishops takes and the rook is still trapped

Nice video, but the legal trap variation you showed isn't the correct one, maybe the tiktok messed it up as well but the legal trap actually happen like this: after Bg4, H3 by white and bishop H5. This is where the trap happens and when you sack the knight and capture on E5. Because now if black capture with the knight, he no longer defends the bishop, so white would be one pawn up. If black would take the bishop on C4 than Qb5+ taking the knight back
@chessscape

At 0:51 if that black knight wasn't on c6 then this would have worked and you would see a brilliant instead of a blunder ,these traps actually work but people follow them blindly without thinking what the opponent's doing

I would say that second trap works because you don't play any dubious moves so if black doesn't fall for it you are still fine. Yeah black has to blunder hard to get the line he showed but even the initial fork is better for white if only slightly.

I actually made the mistake on the first trap - first I would have to play h2 and if bishop would have gone to h5, then I could have played it cause the if knight takes knight, it would not protect the bishop any more. Correct? Thanks for explaining the fails on traps.

3:59 nuh uh even 1000 rated people don't understand this in fact so many people have this happen to them: d4 d5 e4 exd4 Nc3 Nf6 f3 exf3 Nxf3 Bg4 h3 Bxf3 Qxf3 and then they play Qxd4... and then while saving their rook they somehow get their queen pinned to the king in the next 5 moves also for the jerome gambit (for anyone reading the comments) Kf8 is also okay just giving the piece back for free instead of for a pawn but for more king safety
