Glad I heard what you said re 2233 Evangelion. I have it and still plan to display them, but at least now I know they'll need to be in a very stable spot. While not as unstable, the Vsinger Luo Tianyi Casual ver also has no mount points, inclusive of the accesories, at least two of which are fairly unstable. Beautiful, but when they do have a large setting, they really should have mount points imo.

All the preorders I lost money in the last year were repaid by the Prism Studios Violet Evergarden, she’s worth about $500 more than original price now! If you want a surprisingly gorgeous figure at 20% discount, the Alpha from Eminence in Shadow is just fabulous btw.
Kentaru Yabuki designed a Miku? I love his art, and it’s improved so much since the first To Love-Ru, now he has the best panelling of any manga I’ve ever seen.

Self fixable might still be worth reaching out for, if gently. They sometimes will give you a store credit or partial refund for the trouble of having to fix it yourself. I got some store credit just recently, when a shipment came in with two figures that had somewhat significant issues. Which is kind of weird as I've only ever had one before after years of collecting. Naturally, there are more with minor issues, but nothing that would be obvious immediately like these. So contacted, self fixed, store credit. I dunno if the fact that I've bought dozens of figure from the store and never complained before made any difference, but it was offered pretty readily. Up to you if you think it might be worth the trouble.
Although it was briefly mentioned only, i feel for you on that Olga - mine went well but I am hearing similar sentiments on MFC regarding qc issues. Hope they be able to properly replace for you. Also, happy moving and congratulations to a bigger space to house what you love.
BINDing has had QC problems like hell lately. My Maririchika Kuroki Bunny version figure came with two left bunny ears. Since I brought it through a third party, they refuse to send me a right ear. Its really annoying that they charge like they do and have shit QC and shit support. EDIT: LOL my bunny was originally brought from RightStuf, shipped by BuyAnime. I feel your curse.
It’s so hard to figure out if the price will drop on some figures, because some will sell out pretty quick and then others will go on sale. Like that China dress Albedo by FuRyu you can get for just under ¥20k now, it was ¥35, and that figure is absolutely beautiful. And 2 days after I payed ¥44k for the White dress Albedo by FuRyu it dropped to ¥35k, but then immediately sold out. So now if there’s a figure I actually want I’ll immediately just preorder it, as some figures the preorders will close out but others remain open right up to release. I don’t understand how it works, when a preorder closes does that mean they’ve reached the maximum that they’ve ordered from the supplier?
I feel this so hard lol. I had been eyeing that white dress Albedo since the day it was announced but was not willing to pay that insane price. The level of panic I felt when I saw “order closed” 😂 - I rushed over to TOM and used a ton of my points to buy it immediately.
@@mausolus299 Yea it’s happened to me a few times, but one of those white dress popped up on preowned shortly after closing but was gone within an hour. It’s so hard to know what’s going to be popular, because just looking at these Albedo figures I thought the China dress would have sold out first, I absolutely love that figure. Maybe the fact that it has to ship on its own is hurting it, I don’t know. I also bought the Albedo & Shalltear by Kadokawa & it hasn’t closed, but the Shalltear on its own has closed.
I've been meaning to ask for so long but where do you get your figure stands???? your detolfs are so nicely organized, I love how you put everything together. I want mine to be more dynamic and less flat but I don't have anything to put my figures on. I bought some stands on amazon and they were so expensive, like $40 for 6!! is there anywhere in particular you buy them??

6:07 Why do people hate Union Creative? I’ve just bought 11 of their scales in the last month, I haven’t opened any of them yet but I can see some through the box and they look good.
Not sure if it may be the extent of hate, but UC isn't the best in QC. And if these happened to your highly anticipated figures I can expect people to feel disgruntled. Personally I don't mind them since they charge reasonably for the standards they are providing (they didn't claim to be Alter or charge that way afterall) - but I will generally wait for figures by them to be released before buying since they tend to dip in prices and I also get to validate from users' reviews.

UC is mostly a hit or miss. They got hits like the Halloween Miku and Flamingo ballet girls but also have misses like the Ganbare, Douki-chan one I believe. I wouldn't necessarily PO from them (like FuRyu/F:NEX lol). I almost fell into the trap with the FGO Illya shrine maiden but dodged that bullet when I cancelled her. She turned out so off from the prototype and naturally binned that fast after release.
