So true. In pursuit of genuine healthy eating habits, I learned about calories and macro and intake and it really helped inform my decisions but made me too anxious. Kinda like learning a foreign language, with nutrition, I’ve realized after learning the clunky but necessary info on nutrition, actual application for happiness/good eating habits requires you not constantly tabulating and checking those rules. I used to track my food militantly until a year ago and have gotten healthier listening to my body and shamelessly consuming food I like than I did in the like decade before that. The knowledge is necessary but for anxious ppl like me, it can backfire!
