that gauge with the hours on it looks brand new, i think the previous owner recently replaced it. so it's probably 11 hours since the guage was put in. maybe they squared the rim off to keep someone from stealing it.
That’s a 1000 plus hour for sure judging by the feed tray wearing. Hour meter easily could have been disconnected for whatever reason. Or new one swapped from another machine or who knows. And knowing the municipalities like to run them all day even if they aren’t chipping much I wouldn’t be surprised if it was closer to 2k hours
Well there’s no way to prove it in my opinion it’s under a 100 hour machine but that’s just me. But who knows no one will ever know. I definitely can say definitely is low hour there’s not one crack on the machine. What is like a holy grail for morbark chippers.
@@EbenT457 I have 700 hours on mine (same machine) and have less wear and less paint scratched off from feeding tray. But as long as it runs it’s all good.
What an absolute score, that machine was either sat for emergency clean ups or was a demonstration machine. But it certainly looks like it sat most of its life doing nothing.
What a score, you did not explain why you are going to do a re power on this machine. you obviously have your reason for doing it but why do it when it runs perfectly good as it is?
If you get a chance watch my video before this one the deutz power unit. But long story short I’m in California and they have very strict emission laws. The new ish engine meets all the requirements.
@@Frank-Thoresen I can use it in a lot of projects you can still do engine swaps on cars and trucks etc. I thought about a 4bt scout build 😎. California is definitely making it hard thou to be free and do what you want!
California doesn’t allow these tier 1 engine anymore on state work sadly . So will be swapping it to a tier 4 deutz engine. I have a video of buying that engine.
Looks like you had a right result. But jeez i was cringing watching you pour the hydraulic oil upside down so it was gluggljng all over the place instead of nice & smooth.
