Coach Parr certainly knows football coaching multiple Texas high school programs to state titles. I think we should really pursue and sign the stud O-lineman coming to the homecoming game. Coach Parr should be brought in to the program much like Joey McGuire was and be groomed as a future head coach for us. He's young and good at his job. Sawyer should have been starting since the beginning of the '23 season instead of Shapen. 12,000 yards, 146 tds, state champ and Gatorade POTY prove that he's an exceptional qb and leader. How he has been overlooked is beyond me. If we don't consider hiring Coach Parr then we're probably just as dense as tech was regarding Sawyer. He's proven, has the bloodline, ability and personality to advance any program and we need to hire and keep such quality when we come across it. What are your thoughts on this Cam? Coach Parr is a perfect example of why HS athletics are so important to so many kids as a part of healthy maturation into adulthood. I still fondly remember many of my HS football coaches and carry lessons I learned from them … also hilarious things they said. I had some great HS coaches.
