My 24 year old daughter physically took away my black light. She said it was “triggering my OCD”. As if I need a black light for that! 😂 Love my black light!

Ask someone with 5 sons to do theirs. Also... Close toilet when flushing as the splatter mist doesn't get on the tooth brush... Oncologists say to keep tooth brush in another room..... .. please don't go insane cleaning everything under blacklight. We're already crazy...
I cannot decide if getting a black light for my 5 bathrooms was the best…or worst…thing I could have done. 😂 Guess how I spent my time the first day I got it…everything else got pushed back a day! But now I’m a happy camper. Still debating when to do again…that could make you obsessive! 🤪
Omg. I bought a black light flashlight to see how my dog was healing from ringworm infection after seeing the vet use his to visualize it. It didn’t work as well or she’s better but I decided to look around my kitchen and bathroom. It wasn’t horrible but wow I was like you about being ruined for cleaning again. Imagine the trays on an airplane flip down tray, airplane bathrooms, and even grocery stores and places like target. I used to swear I got all of my viruses when I spent any time shopping at target. Maybe the carts. I’m no germophobe but it was an eye opener. I just finished cleaning my kitchen. Next is my bathroom. Also around the front door handles and garbage areas. So gnarly!
Why are you not using the tide, bleach recipe for the toilet? Do you use that mostly for general wipe downs? The light would be a great Valentines gift for my sons😂
You definitely can use Water, Bleach and Tide to clean and disinfect a toilet. In this case we just wanted it to be clear we were using a product with bleach...need it to kill those germs.

you have too much time on your hands if you have time to worry about cleaning to that extent. I have a clean home but I am sure off you start going over it with a black light you will see some dirtiness. we are human, humans are not designed to live in a completely sterile environment and honestly I think it is unhealthy to have everything so sterile. if your body isn't fighting off some little things here and there then 1) you are more likely to get ill when encountering germs and bacteria out in the world and 2) if your body has no work to do it will tend to work on things it shouldn't. hence the huge uprise of autoimmune issues. just my theory but correct or not I can tell ya I have lived in some pretty filthy places as a child and I was sick only extremely rarely. other kids were always sick but I hardly ever was, still as an adult I am rarely ill with anything . you do not need your home to be THAT clean. if it looks clean you are good.
