This hymn is so special to me. My husband and I would have been married 60 years this year. He passed and this song was our favorite. It was sung at our wedding and his funeral. You and the young lady have brought me great joy this day. Thank you.

There are people with angelic voices. When you vibrate at a high level you will stop and experience their goodness. For those who just walk by their vibrations are much lower.
I usually avoid anything religious like the plague but I had to hear this all the way through. She's as blessed with her voice as you are with the piano. It was a treat to listen to you both. ❤

To be fair, at least one person sat down on the steps to have his lunch while listening. It looked like he was about to applaud, just when the video ended. But yes... So sad that the vast majority of the passersby were in too much of a hurry to stop & appreciate the beautiful music.

This performance has immersed me in two emotions -- First, serenity from the sheer beauty of the voice and music; and second, sadness that so many people were so busy hurriedly attending to the details of their lives that they couldn't pause even for a moment to appreciate it.
Exactly my sentiments. Not one single person stopped to listen to world class operatic singing. As you say they were too busy rushing to the sea like ignorant non cultured lemmings…..too busy on their phones talking dross.

I think Brendan head haunts his performers for his channel, but no criticism as he has brought us so much joy over the years from people we wouldn’t ever hear sing or play.

I've never seen myself as a classical music fan, but this amazingly talented young lady had me mesmerised. No microphone, special effects or these voice changing software you hear about...just pure, raw talent and a voice of a goddess. Somebody else mentioned this, but how can you walk past this and not stop. I really hope the right people see this video and offer her a life changing opportunity.
Absolutely, Pure for sure, Not that you'd need to, but imagine in a studio no noises just her n the way Brendan played that piece, 👍 The serious look on his face, he delivered that on the Level of her playing field, N it was top draw stuff
Are people so locked into their daily schedule that they can't even stop for 30 seconds? Even in Shawshank every prisoner stopped what they were doing to listen. Even if you don't like opera, Ave Maria transcends everything and it's just pure beauty and emotion.

This is the umpteenth time that I have watched and listened to this young lady sing this song. I still got chills and had to wipe a tear from my eye. Such feeling, performed with modesty... Such a flawless voice and moving performance... ❤ I think I have loved music since before I was born (with my mother playing music and singing for me while she was pregnant with me). I cannot remember a time when I was more moved by someone performing a song than this. Too often, musicians perform for the critical listener. This woman, though, looked and sounded like someone who was singing from the heart. What a heart! How I wish I could see and hear more of her singing -- not as a performer, but just expressing herself. That, to me, is what music is all about. Feeling.
I don't know about others, but i am usually in a city only when i am running an errand, and have no time to spare. The other thing is, that i don't like being recorded, so even if i would for some odd reason be able to stop and listen, i would look to be out of camera. Apart from that, classic music and actually being able to perform music without autotune and electronics is generally underappreciated today which is another reason nobody stops and listens.
The young lady is so talented, peaceful and humble and gave of herself completely to the moment. Her voice is effortless and melodious and the hymn came through as a complete spiritual message. Its Diwali as I hear this and I can feel the blessing. Thank you to both of you.

I learned how to play guitar . I appreciate music and talent when i see it. Those people walking by are clueless. I'm so glad and fortunate to see such beauty that words cannot do this justice. . @@johnramirez5032 Hi John. As you say this does seem to be an incredible coincidence that an unassuming very talented opera singer happens to walk by. However the area looks to be Covent Garden in London, home of the Royal Opera House only a few hundred yards away,. Also it is bang smack in the middle of the West End where Opera is also performed at the Colosseum nearby. Bear in mind that not every trained opera singer can get work in opera and end up playing their talents in the West End musicals. She is extremely talented and it is a shame that nobody had the time to just stop and appreciate her talent.
I would love to hear more from this talented voice so pure in her intonation. i’ve been thru a very rough period lately losing my wife of many years having covid and then losing my dog. my sister has been diagnosed with cancer and my own health has gone down a lot. this is the first item in my morning and how beautiful the pianist and to then listen to this purity of voice what a beautiful start to my day. thank you and Iintend to listen to this many times. you both have brought peace to my world .

I am an old metal head from the 1980's. When I hear perfect pitch, my skin starts to curl, and I think the world is finally good again. This was beautiful. I hope this lady is working, doing what she loves! If not, I hope she is teaching and passing on her skills to the next Generation, so that our kids can have music, just like we did. With the classics, as well as those that brought us Metal, like Iron Maiden, and many others! Music is a language, not a sheet of paper! When written with class and skill, the animals will head,,,,,
Born halfway the 70's, gabber untill I'll die and still need a daily portion of techno...Watching this moment of two talented people got me into tears. I was shocked people just passed by, not realising they were passing by something special! No force in nature would be able to move me if I would have been blessed with a private performance like this.

A well trained human voice on top of her innate voice and skull shape. Very good, very pleasant to hear. No idea what an angel sounds like but unlikely to be defined by western European choral music and the buildings designed to handle it

Wow, she was damned good! Just pulled off the street, no chance to warm up her voice and she starts belting out those beautiful soprano notes! As others have said in the comments, how can you not stop and listen to that and appreciate it? I'm looking at her thinking man, she'd normally be on a stage in a beautiful gown singing that. For I moment I felt as if I had known this woman for years and I felt pure love for her from her angelic soothing voice. That is the power of music. (I really hope this doesn't come across as creepy lmao)

How people can walk past is beyond me. I don't care what I'm doing, how late I am, what kind of day I'm having... If I heard this then I would have to stop and listen! These two could easily fill out an auditorium at £50-100+ per ticket. I bet if people knew that then they wouldn't be so hasty to ignore what can only be described as art. A vocation in all its glory!
Life is filled with all kinds of stress and suffering. Music can heal and lift up someone during hard time. I believe pianos should be available in public locations for everyone to play.
I also would have thought that Jessica would not be familiar with this style, but she NAILED IT!! Beautifully trained voice and so strong and solid. Fabulous performance by both!
