Problem is, old vale had BOTH cc from skill2 and damage from skill1 and ult, so i don't understand how people claim that "now he has better cc". Now he has about the same cc, with no damage at all, regardless how you build it, it won't be the same. With skill1 and 2 he barely scratched that Alpha...Tanks will be just able to walk you down, taking all your skills and still coming at you, if your teammates are shite, and not ready to use the moment, while he is knocked up. Which is common for soloq. So many times i found myself in such situation, when we were just outgunned from the start of the game, as enemies don't have to respect your damage as it was before (cc is mostly unchanged, as his pull from ult is just a joke, enemies can just walk out of it without much issue, so your only reliable cc is still skill2). Before, they were getting enough of damage, which made them be more cautious, retreat and regroup and stuff, now he is much less of a value team player, as old Vale could do EVERYTHING new Vale has now, all while having considerably bigger damage output. 😐
@Screeching_bird not really lol, once you see the disadvantages with damage vale you would use cc ult plus damage tornado combo, if you trapped more than 1 person it was a guaranteed kill of the 2 and if not he would be heavily damage. Plus now vale doesn't counter glu
You prob could just pick Nana as a burst mage since she’s like the most picked in every rank bracket right now ever since her buff. Vale’s new 2nd skill and ultimate makes him good for zoning and control and while yes, his damage is lower than the damage upgrade iteration, It is still enough to kill squishy when he starts scaling with some items.
Layla really shines in chaotic team fights like this. She gets easily ignored. Probably why she will never be picked in high level or pro scenes. Pro players know better than to ignore her.

His rework is such a nerf,now you literally need to use all of his skills to one shot heroes,before his ult and his second was all you need,basically eudora 2.0 with more cc before all you needed was the ult and second combo
Nope, use support emblem and use the build similar to Lylia, spec on mov speed on tier 1 and tier 2 IF there are sustain heroes like Ruby, Uranus, Estes, and much more
Vale is no longer a one shot mage and that is by intention, you're supposed to play him as a support ultility mage now. Quit complaining and adapt to it
Sure, his unique versatility where everyone still using that same burst type damage, is so much "unique". Like, I have never seen many players even use the CC version of his skill, but just that same skill set, because everyone wants a kill, not to support someone. So, I kinda choose the latest revamp of Vale, because its more honestly better, when you get your skill up to lvl 4, than waiting for level 8 to have that damage ult. Its not about the uniqueness that shapes Vale, but only the damage because people like to one shot everything. But if I have the ability to control everyone in a distance, then lucky me, I can still spam his CC like there's no limit.
@@RTONL you get the control ult and the damage tornado, glowing and blazing wands, maybe even winter: you use your ult, then tornado and an enemy (the more the better) just melts away. That was one of the two ways to play Vale. There were two, not one.
as a vale main, one thing to note now is that his first skill is his main damage output now, as long as you can hit both wind blades it will do a decent chunk of damage
Betosky, use support emblem and spec to mov speed if there are sustain heroes, go for the Lylia build Edit: main gimmick of this is just rotate often and get assists, with the help of the mov speed specs from what I recommended
Another thing about the new vale is that the little tornado he leaves at the end of his skill 2 can be used to check bushes. It will reveal the enemies even if it doesn't it them.
@@jivraj2110oh well you could do that with the old vale, and it would also leave a tornado down too, now it just stays in one place which is kinda easy to avoid
He took more time to power spike now but on the contrary, he can support his team earlier with s2 cc. Personally, I go for Clock of Destiny first since we're not going crazy in early game anyway and the Elegant Gem can provide a lot of sustainability to farm longer as well.
I think ET is more better than COD, since LT doesn't scales Mana anymore but Magic Power. If you want to have sustainability, 2nd talents like Festival of Blood, or Tenacity can help you.

15 June 2024,I downloaded my ml back and plays a classic match,and then I saw Vale's ultimate being orange so I was like "This guy did not choose either red or blue" and then I noticed that Vale received a revamps

Fun fact about vale: put on the move speed talent and bonus move speed in jungle talent along with the support emblem and with vales passive and any boots, you'll have more move speed than sprint. You could go anywhere in the map with a few seconds and no one, even an ulted zilong is going to catch you. I've been asked by players if I'm hacking while i use this because of my move speed.
New Vale lacks so much damage. He barely can burst a mm. In the old times, he would burst a tank! Just his second+first skill in late game was capable of one-shoot most mm. But now...
Yeah I tried him today for the first time and while you do often need the 2, 1, 3 combo to 1 shot someone, his cc is stronger now and his skills have a short cooldown, longer range and casting speed, unless the enemy had a cc immunity ability or dashes or flickers away before the ult explodes then almost nobody can escape. Because of his passive as well its very easy to chase or run away from enemies, you can run into a teamfight pop your combo and then be out.
agreed. as a Vale main (he was the first mage hero I bought), I do miss his old version but his current version is also bad*ss.. I just hope people won't start banning or picking him more often
I find the new vale to not really go with me anymore. What i loved about Vale was his burst damage. I never trust the team i get in soloq so it was good to pick off mm and mage during teamfights but now? It isnt really viable. Any hero with dash can escape or eat me alive. Mm with gold rose meteor or Athena Shield are unkillable now
I think all burst mages got indirect nurf after COD and LT adjustment(neef). I used to play Eudora a lot. After getting COD and LT I would just stay in the bush and one shot any unfortunate souls that pass by. Now its really hard to one shot anyone in the early to mid game.
Eudora is still strong, use genius wand then glowing wand. If you aren't able to one shot the squishies, they may have that talent where they get defenses below 50% hp or they bought magic resist cloak
The only thing that I don’t like about vale is the fact that it’s so easy to get out of his ult 😢 especially heroes that have dashes that don’t rely on flicker too much
I think it's better for him to have 2 knock ups (first is the first contact, then 2nd is if the tornado becomes static). There's no point in having a static tornado if you successfully combo it with his ult (meaning if you do 2nd-ult combo)
I hated what they did with Vale. I had 70% wr with him and now I don’t even dare playing him in rank. He’s taking so long to deal real damage and burst. He was fine the way he was, moonton ruined him.
Fun fact, you can play vale as a support roam with his rework, just buy all cooldown items (CD boots, Tailsman, Fleeting time) then ice queen sword to apply slow on enemies for ur team, then necklace for anti heal, feel free to buy glowing wand for extra lingering damage. and also use support emblem and you can literally spam ur skills instantly 24/7 due to cooldown build and tailsman giving infinite mana. such a broken build.. infinite CC.
What the heck!! Buff available dots disappeared after they were taken out by the opponent team in beto's mini map? Why this isn't happening to me? I always need to check my buffs even though i already knew they were eaten by the enemy!
he and vexana is actually cc lord that could be useful if the enemy team have low mobility and weak to crowd control. and your team should've picked wombo combo by picking tigreal, atlas, or guinevere for example. and ofcourse this won't work if the enemy team picked too much high mobility heroes or cc immunity such as martis, masha, hanabi, wanwan, ect.
I'll tell you what to do now with vale as per my opinion I've used. Use his ultimate first now to gain enemies in middle then use second skill and then first skill for final damage. This is his new skill set Ultimate>Second Skill>First Skill. This works very well now. I used to love him before revamp one. Well try for yourself this combo. Hope it helps.
As an ex main vale, still not convinced after watching this video, though I desperately hope that a useful build could revive my Vale from coffin (spent diamonds buying all Vale skins). With those greedy enemies and late game allies, every single mage could do the same victory as Beto achieves. With him not being burst, there are many others heroes with better utility functions and with higher damage, hence why vale? He does not stand out. So still holding hope for developers to buff him a little to make him at least able to slash enemy HP by more than half with full combo when it comes to third item.
At times he seems very dependent on his ult as it pulls the tornado into it along with the enemy so the glowing wand damage does a majority of the damage
Totally felt how the Alpha feel @ 4.49 of ur vids...hate those feeling entering the game thinking that it is guaranteed win suddenly realized there is an even better player in the field building up....
I feel cheated, i just bought his collector skin a month before his nerf, don't even try to convince me it's a revamp. Now he's total garbage of a mage
