NTA, It was already mentioned no in-laws were invited and the fact she said to invite her next time was disrespectful knowing that no in-laws were invited she should've known if OP's son explained it to her and its very unfair for her to be the only in-law to be included, but you could've spoken to her kindly
@heydeanie well, usually when people get married, the spouse becomes family. But, there could be more to the story on why they don't see the spouses as family. Or, they could just be jerks. We'll never know. We're only getting maybe 60 seconds of a story in a short and one side of the story. 🤷🏿♀️
While the whole "family meeting" thing is not how my family works, the OP owes the daughter-in-law NOTHING. What's more, the fact that she demanded that OP do what SHE demanded, even though she knew the OP's WIFE was seriously ill, then behaved like a rude, spoiled shrew when he refused--well, her own and his son's expectation that he should be "nice" in the face of her rudeness says a great deal more about them than it does about the OP. Someone definitely needed to check their entitlement at the door... and it wasn't the OP.
Im sorry but the son only said that the op could be a little bit nicer to the dil not that he agreed with her the op was rather harsh on her but he is right he is not the ass he just couldve said it nicer
So if it was already explained to her, what's the issue? They don't want support from outsiders so that's less stress on your plate sis 🤷🏽♂️🤣 like live your best life while they're sobbing
There was another video exactly like this but it was the father that was ill and the mil that fell out with her dil. Anyway, excluding in-laws is a bad idea, she will be the mother of their grandchildren. Do they include her children but exclude her.
They are. As my father had very terrible diagnosis, we were looking for second opinion, treatment options..too early..after already having lost our mother. My brother's wife was chilling on the terrace chatting over the phone with her aunt telling how "that's life" and how she hope it won't interfear with planned vacation.
Nope, you're pretty wrong actually. Her husband enabling her entitled behaviour. Warn me if i'm wrong, but as i understand her husband, ops son, is not a woman. By the way, isn't it boring to be misogynistic at every opportunity?
