I have no patience for drunk drivers since my 24 year old beloved brother was killed by one (his wife was 8 months pregnant) jail time and no driving for at least 5 years on 1st offence! Next time 10 yr ban on driving etc! This needs to 🛑 stop! No more excuses. That defence attorney should have be told off by the Judge, she kept interrupting and was disrespectful in my opinion!

Gads. The attorney is something else. Most of the time she is rude and cuts in instead of listening. You can tell the judge does not want to do it this way. I am surprised he gave in.

As long as the courts play patty cake, we're going to continue to see alcohol and substance related offenses, accidents, deaths, ODs, thus lives ruined as a result, not to mention sky high insurance rates. It's reached epidemic proportions. We all want fair judgment, but right is right and the same applies to wrong.

The lawyer starts yapping faster to talk over the Judge every time he starts to say something she doesn't like.

Nobody should have to show adults how to act and live amongst the free country that was the parents one job and her parents failed or maybe she never had any.with that sleezeball attorney she is heading for the repeat offender docket giving her the easiest slide out of any responsibility.

She needs to go to jail. Way too easy on her. The judge is always kind and thinks of others, but enough is enough.

I disagree with the judge, some people will need this level of supervision because they've never been held accountable for anything. The idea is to get the person hello not "the spirit" of some program or how some shrink who designed a program for something they've never dealt with themselves.

I see what people are saying about this lawyer vs the judge. And i get that, the dui woman is clearly not taking this serious. But i respect the lawyer's tenacity to keep her client out of jail. She is not making excuses, and too the people saying she is interrupting and rude?...I dont know what your watching, but i find her too be vary polite...She is respectful too even the other lawyer, and agreeing with him at times! This judge does not want too punish people strictly for the sake of punishment. And even the judge says, he respects her zealously in this case. I think this woman needs too be punished, because i think DUI is terrible, its the most irresponsible use of a vehicle. And sometimes, some people only understand punishment. And i think the judge said it right, it feels wrong because she is spitting in the face of people who need these classes. And she is half-assing it...She is vary lucky, she has a lawyer who is this strong. And i think the fact she came up with nothing in her system was a big contributor too this. It would have been a slam dunk if she had anything in her system, boom, go directly too jail, do not pass go...I see how both sides can see the....I guess magnitude of this situation. However, i think this was the wrong call...Maybe thats wrong, but like i said, they understand punishment. DUI is a horrific misuse of judgment, and endangers everyone around them...I would be interested too know if this was the kick in the pants this woman needed, or if she fucked up again...
