In the early 20th century, the spa reached its peak under the Razumovsky family. They made improvements and built villas. There were also fun things like cricket, tennis, and swimming.
But in 1940, the spa closed. During World War II, it was used for training and as a prison camp.
After the war, the spa was taken over by the government and used as a children's home and hospital until it closed in 1994.
