Faith in what? Your church? Your religion? I will tell you straight and plain my friend run from religion. The Christianity of the Bible is not ceremony or ritual it is an open and honest relationship with Jesus Christ. No one else. We know him. Furthermore the true church is simply the body of all those who trust in Jesus Christs finished work. Jesus Christ is the head. Not a pope or any other man. One does not need to go to confession and confess sins. The reason this would not work is you do not have a perfect knowledge of all sins. True repentance is a one time act. Jesus Christ has dealt with all our sins past, present and future at the cross. It bothers me to see people thinking that they can get close to God any other way except through our Lord Jesus Christ. Or by religion or what they do that makes them right. STOP CALLING CHRISTIANITY A RELIGION! I am sorry to say this but most roman catholics are not saved. Why? Because they are not tought the truth. They have a zeal for God but without knowledge. It is the same with most other world religions. It bothers me that you used the wording topped up. This is the truth of the gospel. One can not do anything apart from our Lord Jesus Christ to get next to God. Those that is the church that are in complete union with God. We are as close as Christ is. He was ritious, why because we could never be. Those that are in Christ are as ritious and clean as he is. Nothing you do can save you apart from Jesus Christ and his FINISHED WORK. It is a relationship. That is true Christianity. Furthermore we are not topped up because we are as ritious as Christ. Our flesh was buried with him and our spirits were raised and seated with him in Heavenly places. We are under Grace. You do not maintain it because it has nothing to do with you.
