Always loved campaign warden's story, I was a bit sad we had to fight Apollyon with orochi in the end but the knights slice of the campaign and Warden's internal conflict while following Apollyon made him one of the most interesting and likable characters in the story.
Most definitely. Fighting Apollyon as warden would have been awesome. Perhaps they could have made it so you choose which hero out of the 3 to fight her with.
@@NotSirTrooperexactly bro and that's the problem with the story though it's like they don't even know what they're doing it's not perfect but it's decent and the only person that I actually like is the warden Orochi just came out of nowhere and just took the kill that should have been his I mean seriously what was the whole point of the build-up with him rebelling against her if he wasn't going to be the one to kill her
I always forget story mode exists, but when I remember, I always get sad the Emperor’s Champion is canonically more of a badass than Warden. He even gets a title beyond his hero name “Orochi” lol. Edit: replies mentioned Warden is named “Lord Warden.” The more you know…
@@parkertulk7485 As a Rep 70 Warden, I know Warden cope when I see it. His shoulder bash is his only (good) mixup, and Orochi has a cooler sword twirl. The devs simply hate Warden. No but in all seriousness I don’t think Warden was throwing, he was a sort of leader for his people after all. I remember him popping Tier 4s back to back on me with his Healing Banner no way that’s him holding back lol. Maybe I could believe him just wanting to fight a duel to prove orochi was strong enough to fight apollymom, but I don’t think he had that situation under control unless he knew he wasn’t gonna get executed lmao
I’ve always loved how runned down and tired warden sounds while talking with Peacemaker. You can tell that was the defining moment for him to stop fighting for Apollyon; because as he says; He took an Oath, to fight for peace
Or even better, give the choice of either of the two I personally like the Warden more but there are colors as are tastes and I bet there are people who liked the Orochi more to defeat Apollyon
Personally I disagree. I like the aspect of the Orochi Emperors Champion being the only one skilled enough to even take on Apollyon. Even with all of his experience I'd find it unlikely that the Warden can defeat Apollyon. The Orochi is more of a wild card since they already start off as the best warrior in the Samurai despite being in jail. Hell during the fight the Orochi even says Apollyon is more skilled then the Orochi and that the Orochi would have to exceed their own skill. Really well done and since the Knights are already a respectable faction in the story with a lot of development the Samurai being the ones to take out Apollyon gave their faction some additional depth. Without it they'd just be another Vikings story of reuniting their clans.
I always loved how they added the second part to Warden's last line there. "I took an oath to fight for peace." is all well and good, and they could have left it there, but instead the writers chose to remind us that this isn't just Warden's story, it's everybody's. These attacks, these events, are setting the stage for everything that would happen after, so Warden reminding Mercy that they ALL took oaths to fight for peace is an incredible touch. And, Warden's voice actor absolutely nailed that line. "I took... an oath... to fight for PEACE. So did you. All of you..."
For honor's campaign did not need a story as deep as it was, voice acting as good as this, or even a single noteworthy character arc. I wasn't expecting that when I played it and I never held it to that standard. But it had all of that. I forget how well made some of Ubisoft's stories are.
@@homaedo7547 Yeah, brotherhood was my fav. Not to mention Far Cry 3. Black Flag was pretty great as well. Their most recent stuff does not hit the same for me.
@@LettuceGoblin tbh, Brotherhood wasnt that good of a game for me. The start was strong yes, but the story became disjointed and muddled. By the end though, I was glad to throw Cesare off that wall
@@sealstorm1935 I wish. Favorite chapter but I'm too intimidated to tackle my favorite faction if you know what I mean. Still getting my painting skills up before I tackle my fanboy project
Well met, juat my opinion, but the Dark Angels are by far the best faction in 40k, lore, aesthetics, style, characters, playstyle, there just so cool. I started painting my army about two years ago, it's a great hobby and thr game is fun to play to.
Man when Holden cross finds the necklace he's reminded of the oath as well and clutches it a bit as if he feels he's made a mistake but also knowing that Wardens time with appolyon was over
Blows my mind that most of the cast for this game literally didn’t have faces and yet I still remember them and their lines better than half the Sony slop I’ve played
Honestly, I wish we could get a warden mc hero skin in for honor. It’s a very accurate but also badass version of our warden after the events of appolyons death. They’d probably have a plume and everything.
Crazy how this game's graphics look better than the majority of today's games. And I loved the Warden in the campaign. I feel like he should have been the one to fight Apollyon but the Orochi was cool as well.
It does feel like a lot of cartoony games have been releasing recently. Especially for console players like me. I’d love to see more games with effort put into the graphics like For Honor.
I meant that since you've wanted for a game that puts effort in graphics like for honor, Ghost of Tsushima which was announced recently to be getting a pc port which is a great game and a good news for pc gamers including you if you are one as well!!@@NotSirTrooper
That’s because of three big reasons 1 unless you have a giant studio implementing that with a big AAA game that gonna take a couple of years 2. Not everyone will be able to run it and that means less profit 3. It’s just hard imagine wanting to make a simple have fun game and being expected to make a graphical masterpiece
Gotta love how Warden made sure Mercy had a good look of what he was throwing before showing disgust towards Blackstone as a whole. He lives up to his oath, as he became known as Lord Warden still trying to achieve this goal, so much so that he arranged a meeting between Ayu, Holden and Stigandr in Citadel Gate by the fire. I hope he comes back for multiplayer not as a skin but as a new hero.
I love Warden. He, in his most basic form, is just a man who wants to do good. He wants to protect people, he wants to protect peace, he doesn't want to mindlessly kill for the sake of needless killling
I feel like the ending would've been a hell of a lot better if either switched characters throughout the mission and finished with the warden beating Apollyon or just simply having the warden there as an ally maybe holding back whoever rushed in to help Apollyon maybe helping you fight her but hey still a good story!
Warden main here, always trying to duel honorably, let exhausted enemies catch their breath, dont attack during emotes, and no ganking. Theres too much toxicity in this game already, all we can do is try to be a good sport and make someone else's day a little better. When i play this game the rare times i come across a genuinly chill player it really makes my day so I want to do that for other people too :>
I absolutely love this song for edits and I love Warden’s entire “honor” and “oath” thing. This is the best edit I will ever see and it makes me wanted to keep maining Warden each time. Super excited for his changes which are supposed to give him more capabilities in team fights and fulfill my dream of protecting my teammates (and minions). Playing Warden isn’t just playing another character in another video game, its something else. It feels cinematic
Either you stand by the side of the people you are with or don't at all. For me it's standing side to side by my comrades to fight to the end or don't fight at all. Don't give up no matter what don't let others hold you down
@@Themplez uhh it’s very rage inducing. I think there’s cheaper versions? I don’t remember it being $45. If you’re planning to buy it on steam I’d wait till it goes on sale. It’s definitely not for everyone.
@@NotSirTrooper I'll check out some reviews then consider it, definitely looks like a game for me ngl. also the $45 version is the cheapest, it's based on region so maybe that's why its more expensive for me lol
My boy Warden desperately needs a glow up to his move-set as his shoulder charge is the only source for mix-ups... Tell me Goobisoft, where's the honor in that.
Reminder, this is the same Lord Warden that, later on when Ashfeld started to show colors of war again, picked up his things and left Heathmoore entirely. Honestly, fair enough.
Haven't yet played the game. This video bumped into my recommendation, randomly. Now, I hop on my PC and decides to play it with my heart's content. Aside that, Nice edit man, keep up your good work!
We will stand at the end of the line brothers! If we must die for peace to prosper then let us die in glorious battle! And if we're lucky we shall stand proud to see another day!
