I have to ask you Florida people: I live in NY, and not even NYC (NYC is the highest Subtropical point on the East Coast, fun fact. They get snow, yes, but the buildings trap heat enough that they get subtropical weather enough that it counts in the summer.) I live in Rochester, which isn’t as high up as the Adirondacks, but is right at the intersection of Storm Alley and Lake Effect snow central from both Lake Erie and Ontario (if you don’t know what Lake Effect is, it’s enough of a wonder that the Weather Channel routinely studies video from here and our neighbor Buffalo. Basically: clear skies to the worst blizzard so you can’t see five inches in front of your face within five minutes in small areas, then gone just as fast. As far as I know the only other place other than the Great Lakes that has enough lake water to cause this is in Russia, so we’re the luckiest unlucky f*ckers alive.) I am used to the cold, because for the 19 years of my life, it’s been windy, blizzards, or otherwise cold for a good chunk of the year. I actually can’t deal with the heat as well because of how used to the cold I am. So, the point is, I went to Orlando 3 times, and all three times, it was hot and steamy as f*ck, and somehow every time I go there, all the Florida passholders are wearing jackets and sweatshirts and all sorts of warm things. ... ... ... HOW DO YOU GUYS SURVIVE??? I mean, I’d collapse and die! 93 degrees outside (one of the days at Disney was this high) and I was wearing a light shirt, light pants, and probably the darkest thing I wore was the Magical Light-Up Edition Ears I bought. You people were wearing sweat jackets, zip jackets, all sorts of warm stuff. Are you guys just used to living in hell or what?
