i personally have to say that it would be a no go for me that they changed the shade of pink at especially when i not have ask them to. the leather colors those repair companies use will be mixed to the perfect shade normally and it is very opaque so its not a problem at all to re dye it in the original color, even white bags can be redyed perfectly and you dont see the flaws anymore. seriously, i wouldnt be happy with that-they definately had to inform you about the slight color change before hand cause now you have a bag in a non existing color wich a lot of people that have knowledge about chanel and their shades of pink will problably think its fake and thats a huuuuge no go for me. yes, im a bit picky, but if i pay 400$ to get a bag repaired at least they could communicate those changes with me right? i also dont understand why they re colored the entire bag and change its entire texture and feel instead of just repair and redye the flaws-this bag wasnt in a condition where it needed a full coloring...im sure another company would had done a better job tbh :(
Love your honesty in all your videos.... makes you very relatable. I sell a few bags to have some money in savings but it burns a hole in my pocket lol. A lot of us are the same as you Jess & last year with lockdowns etc only exacerbated not so great spending habits......anyway I’m glad to see you selling from your RU-vid platform. I love the outcome! It’s gorgeous! This bag reminds me of that Pink Lady Dior bag I bought from the FASHIONPHILE outlet last year. It had horrible corner wear so I touched it up myself with Angelus leather paint. I’m now selling he4 on Mercari! I didn’t really grab for her. I’m trying to sell a bunch of the ones I don’t use. I had a similar experience with the bag spa.... I think I’d just do what you said and buy a bag in better condition. But you took the chance and it’s come up so well, but it is a different bag than you originally bought.
Well, I agree with you in the sense that buying pre-loved bags is a good route as far as cost and sustainability. And, if you do not want to change or alter the look, you’ll have to pay a higher price for better quality. As long as you love it and plan to keep it, it doesn’t matter.

I can see you aren’t 100% so just carry it for a while, if you aren’t totally convinced with the color, it’s practically brand new and for your troubles you can sell for a bit of a premium and let the shopping fun continue! 🤣 hahahah A lot of girls will LOVE that pink! Yeah I would be so upset that it’s a different colour, I just took my baby pink Chanel to a bag spa and it’s the same colour but I guess mine just was a bit dirty it didn’t have any corner wear
I don't understand why they don't dye them instead of painting them. You could still use a good leather conditioner after it's been dyed but doubt it would penetrate paint. I loved the color before, now it's kind of Bubblegum, but still beautiful. All in all a Chanel bag/tote that you'll use and enjoy for under $2000 is a great buy! Enjoy her Jess 💗
Personally speaking, caviar and other leathers like chèvre, Togo and Epsom, Ardennes they all turns out well after a leather colour at the spa but softer leathers like lambskin, clemence, swift etc becomes really hard and stiff. It will devalue the item. Box leather gets even worse as they may get cracked after redye. Never tried a patient leather though.
I think they should have disclosed to you exactly how they were going to fix the bag and that the shade would be different so you could make the decision. With that being said, it does look like they did a nice job on it.

If the bag spa is certified by Chanel, why would a bag spa treatment affect authenticity? It makes zero sense, and it's counterintuitive.... (In other news, I've been most unresponsible and bought my first tiny falabella, unfortunately it's not preloved so I paid a little more than usual, lol, I'm thinking of getting a micro falabella, I'm rationalizing it as a "future investment", "future evening bag".)
as long as you tell people on your resale advert then i am sure its all good ? I agree with you .....some may not like that its not original colour BUT both colours are cute and im sure lots would love the new stronger pink anyway ;-) xx
