Its the museum of illusions Right here in NyC Do you know what an illusion is? Quack, quack Wrinkle & Human ❤️🦢🙃✨ @duckandhuman @wrinkletheduck @Hughmenaim Wrinkle Merch Available www.seDUCKtive.com
They might not be: humans rely on illusions based on our eyes being on the same plane facing forward. Ducks have eyes that are kind of on the sides of their heads. They might be able to see some, others might be difficult.
Illusions are based on both how visual information is attained and also how it is interpreted. Since ducks have eyes that are different from ours and are placed in a different location on their heads than ours are, they obtain different visual information. Then it’s a matter of how their brains interpret that information. Since they also process their unique information in different ways than humans do, it’s very likely that all they see is shapes, colors and movement or whatnot; but they won’t see it as an “illusion” of any sort UNLESS it is a direct oversimplification of something relevant to their success as a species. Basically, if their brains don’t care if some information they see is “true” or “false”, it won’t register as an “illusion” to them. For example, they might see the mirror tunnel as an illusion because it seems like a “place” to where they could potentially go* to hide if a predator is chasing them-which is unfortunately false! But unless the length of a stick means they get more food (which it might!), it probably won’t register to them. With that last point in mind, though, illusions can probably even be learned! 🤪 Interesting stuff.
Sometimes I wonder if pets are ever even confused anymore. They see so much weird human stuff that honestly, these illusions are nothing compared to an animal that has different fur every day and stares at a moving glowy rectangle all day.
I do believe that, much like us humans, for animals it's a generational thing. Animals back in the 1950s and before weren't used or interacted with things us humans enjoyed because, as they have seen for generations, it's weird and strange to them, doesn't make sense to them, thus they don't bother with it. But as the decades go by, eventually some animals in the animal kingdom may end up being interested in what us humans do, play, consume, and learn compared to their lifestyle of survival and hunting for food, things that have been around for millennia. So seeing something like this goes to show that some animals are curious and interested in things they don't fully understand yet, but at least can experience and have memories of either enjoying or hating it. The only barrier is the language/animal cries they speak compared to human beings.
I unironically watch this when I feel sad or down and it gives me a reason to feel happy at least for some minutes. TYSM for doing these videos. And tysm Wrinkle for existing.
I wonder what kind of thoughts are going through her head with this experience. Especially with the color room, since birds see more of the color spectrum than us.
Red blue and green would seam the same to them, but purple-ish colors might seam clearer like it's own distinct color and not like a merge of red and blue, if the purple-ish color is due to a singular frequency of light and not something like stained glass I think
@@mimicray birds see purple really clearly because every bird can see ultraviolet light which is produced by sun rays but we cant because ultraviolet light damages our eyes which is why you don't stare at the sun for too long but birds have something in their eyes which protects them from it and also yes they can see more from the colour spectrum
What fun! I just loved the illusion of Wrinkle being small and human being big and then the other way around! Yay Wrinkle! Yay Human! Yay camera person!🎉
