I bought a floating hide last year and it’s been sitting unconstructed in my garage for the last 12 months.
I finally got the time to put it together and here’s my test run down my local swamp.
Watch what happened…

I look forward to seeing a few images from the new contraption! One word of advice I would give is to carry a knife if you don't have one on you already. If you slip and the waders become full of water, it can be pretty tough to get out of them without cutting them free. Plenty of fisherman have drowned that way.

I dont mean to be a bite in the bum but , the hide seams to be a bit limiting . if the water is too shallow its no good and if its too deep its no good ' , maybe a green or camo kayak with and wearing camo poncho would be more versatile and practicable. I am surprised how close we can get to the wildlife by just paddling really quietly and slowly often they seem to get use to us in our big yellow kayaks . although the low perspective from the hide you get would be a little difficult to achieve from a kayak . so it has its pros and cons I guess Anyway I love your work , love your photography ! I am sure the hide will help you to get the opportunity to take some great shots you otherwise wouldn't have been able to get
