He’s dutch and in the netherlands we have something called "limonade" which is like fruit flavoured sugary syrup you mix with water which he proppably mixed up with real lemonade
So excited to see my home city, Toronto (Canada), mentioned @7:29! I think you meant "Worst Restaurants in Tirana" - but you are welcome to come to Toronto, and we can explore the worst restaurants here together - and other things, of course!
Love your show man.. for future reference- the only things you need to make lemonade, are lemons, water and sugar. That is literally it lol you squeeze the lemons, and water and sugar and stir. And you can cut up some lemons into wedges or wheels for garnish.. Next time.
This format has surely got potential For a series I love the idea of enlisting people wherever you arrive it’s what all travellers are really looking for
In this episode i think you could have bought some fresh berries and fruits and other stuff and you could have done fresh lemonades there :) Maybe try next time that idea. Oh, how i also would love to visit that country, i would be "millionaire" there and i definitely would spend a lot of money there to support the economy and people there.
I'm Australian and what you were looking for we call cordial. But lemonade to us is like sprite. I tried American lemonade on a recent cruise and didnt like it at all
So I have to ask because I’ve binged all these to stay current. I know how you got the plane tickets obviously. For a new channel tho which is growing insanely fast so kudos to you on that but how are you getting these high profile RU-vidrs to give the challenges being so new? How are you funding hotels, taxis and food? That has to be pricy still. What is your background prior to this? I literally need to know 😂
Thanks a lot for watching Robert! I fully agree, can’t wait to experiment with different concepts and show more of the culture! I think I did a pretty decent job in Marrakech though: episode 3. Let me know what you think! 💭
When I was a child, Albanians ran pastries and bakeries in almost every town. And they had the best homemade lemonade. So, surely they know what lemonade is.
Very cool video series. I find the idea super funny. However, I think it's a shame how Albania is portrayed in this video. It's as if people don't talk to you, are defensive and the food doesn't taste good and then you get sick. We were there 1.5 years ago and got to know soooo lovely people who were so helpful. Please dear people, don't be fooled by this video. Albania is a great country with great people.
As an Albanian im happy to see my country featured in your first series. Obviously not delighted that we are recognised as "the poorest country" since there's so much more that defines us- but I guess that reputation is more of our fault than yours :) Hope you enjoyed it!
Hi! I’ve been loving the series! 1:55 that is the call to prayer, called the adhan. It’s not music What you heard is a melodic recitation of an affirmation of our faith followed by calling people to rise for prayer. It’s only called up to 5x a day (6 if it’s Ramadan) so you caught the perfect timing!
I lived in Albania for 10 years so am very happy to see you got to go there.....I would have made lemonade with lemons, sugar and water which are always available....but going the the restaurants was nice for me to watch as I recognized some people and places I would go to when I lived there. It is too bad you only got to see such a small part of the country with only being there one day and being busy the whole day trying to do a challenge. Hopefully you can go back some day and see the amazing place that Albania is.
Perfect spot to sell lemonades -> look if there is a football game or any professional sport, and install your stand on the road leading to the stadium
nice friends you have there ... giving you a challenge and already saying its literaly impossible ... thats not a challenge thats bullying ^^V also a 7$ pizza in a cheap country is rather expensive isn't it ? even in Germany there are still enough places where you can get a full pizza for 5€
Good idea changing up the challenge, if you’re feeling tired it’s so fair to prioritise your well-being! Still a great challenge reviewing places, a different one it was too!
big shoutout to Said who seems to give you an upgrade since he feels sorry for your challenge? 🤣(Gotta keep that in mind once I check-in in Albenia. It even seems like he just could run away from the reception to randomly go shopping with you 🥰. Love Said! Groetjes vanuit Vlaanderen ;)
This series has been super interesting so far. I don’t know how you’re keeping such a good attitude with some of these challenges, because frankly some of them are ridiculous. How do you even know what the laws are in Albania as far as setting up a lemonade stand. Do you need a permit? Who knows. I hope you don’t get arrested. Lol.
lemonade is actually pretty common there but u two misunderstood what another one talking about. U could buy just lemon (or other fruits) water and some ice cubes, ask for box inside the shop and u could make your own stand. But its good that u tried do something, Im going to subscribe u rn. Keep up with this, good content!
Just found your channel in the recommended list and thought u had much more subscribers. Production quality was awesome and the content was great. Keep it up!
NGL, when you said "Tirana" I thought you meant "Toronto, Canada", because that's basically how we pronounce the city name here. And clearly the time stamps think so too.
Hi very nice videos, but the mosque. Is not singing and this is not music, it's called Adan and it's like calling people to do praying in the mosque in islam we do 5 prayers every day.
When did you lose a challenge? I mean, in Italy wasn't a grandma doing the pasta. In Albania you couldn't s lol lemonade. Honest question, cause you lost both.
I think your videos are super fun and well done. I’d enjoy them more if you’d drop the profanity; no need for it. You’re valuable without the “vocabulary challenge”. Thanks! 😊
I feel like you cheated with this challenge and took the very easy way out. Reviewing the lowest rated restaurants is not really a challenge and even that wasn’t done correctly as you reviewed the restaurants with less than a couple of reviews 🤦🏽♂️
8:40 you crack me up! I literally am binge watching every episode! You’re a natural! Great job on this journey and I see you “taking off” ironically really well on RU-vid! Bravo ❤
You know....if I had that challenge, I'd just buy the ride back to the airport beforehand as perparation for the no-money punishment. As the others, I can say that just lemons, water and sugar would do the trick, but don't know if you could make that much. Unless a deus ex machina like Nele in Dublin and the Dutch rap crew in Oslo would be there for support.
I binge watched all your episodes and I think this series is amazing. Subscribed right after watching it. So please don't take the following as critisicm, but rather genuine advice: As a traveler you should educate yourself a little bit better about foreign cultures. What you were hearing in the background when finding out about the challenge was not music, it was the Islamic call to prayer. It's called Adhaan.
Bro...mosque singing???..playing music???...dude it is the call to prayer...try to do some research about the culture before you land..jeez..otherwise your videos are fun!
great vid! just wanted to let you know that saying a mosque is singing/playing music is kinda disrespectful, it's called athan and it's the call for prayer
