I TOOK THE RED PILL! Unlucky Morpheus 'Angreifer' First Time Reaction. Jimmy's World. 

The song is about someone that had past over, and has re-awoken as a vampire, Fuki is singing from the humanity side still trying to hold on and Shiren (growls) is the vampire side trying to get the person to feed for the 1st time. The song is from an EP which was released in 2015, but they had never done a video for it, but as it was popular they released this live recording. Unlucky Morpheus (UM) were started in 2008, as a side project, by the 2 you see singing in this video, Shiren and Fuki. They were in another band that was also a side project that did covers of video game songs, after the band stopped Fuki told Shiren that she had enjoyed working with him and wanted to do it again, so UM was started.It was just the 2 of them for a number of years. They did Touhou (a video game series in Japan) arrangement albums. After a few years the fans wanted to see them live, so they asked some friends to help them play live. In 2013 they added another member, who is also a singer, whom Shiren also had a side project with, then they slowly added other members, with Jill violin being the last in 2016, at this point it was still a side project, as all the members were in other bands, 1 or 2 still are. It wasn't until about 2017/18 that they started to make it more full time, as they started to release that they had become popular, not only in Japan, but around the world. They did there 1st tour of Japan in 2017 and played out side Japan for the 1st time in Oct 2019 in London, were I saw them. They have said that they want to do a world tour, but that idea is on hold due to the current problems. Shiren (growls) is normally the lead guitarist, but he has tenosynovitis of the arm, so has to rest it, now and again, so Jill takes over his part playing violin when they are live, like in this video, they also do it in another song, Black Pentagram. He has started to do more growls lately due to his arm problem, so they a lot of songs with out the growls. Fuki is just a workaholic, in 15 years she has been involved in over 90 releases, mostly full albums. Apart from being in UM she is also in Doll$boxx, a side project between her and Gacharic Spin (pop rock), she also has her own solo act, plus many other things she is part of inc guest appearances. She is also a designer and occasionally does modeling work. She is also untrained as a singer, it's all natural talent, as Fuki said, she sang like it at school, it's something she pick up from her mother, who sings the same way. The reason for the short break at the end, is that they are setting up the keyboards for Fumiya, drummer, as they are about to do an acoustic song without drums. At the time they were 55 mins in to a 2+ hour show. UM just don't do heavy they can do smooth/jazz. For smooth try "Hyakki Hikou (Acoustic LIVE)". One of the things I love about this band is that they are so talented and they don't do really hard stuff to show off, they do it because they can and for the love of music. Also they are such a nice bunch of people if you ever get to met them. If you ever watch one of their live streams they are always in the comments chatting away with the fans. Jill (violin) is just ........................ What can you say about Jill, that you can't say about the rest of the band, she is just super talented, she is a Tokyo University of the Arts graduate and totally the real deal. She has her own YT channel (jil violin channel) which she has some cover up on. She has also done and still does work with other bands, some of them are big names in Japan. When she 1st joined the band they did tend to put her down in the mix when they did studio tracks, but now as the fans love her, they have moved her a bit more to the front. They have also started a side project called "Quadratum From Unlucky Morpheus" which is Jinya, Jill, Ogawa, and Fumiya. They are doing instrumental covers and have an album out tomorrow, and maybe a video to go with it as they have just recorded one. Fuki has said that the violin takes the part of the vocalist. Welcome to Unlucky Morpehus, Fuki - Singer Shiren - Harsh vocals, guitar, composition, arrangement Jinya - Guitar Ogawa - Bass Fumiya - Drums Jill - Violin (part of the band, not just one time feature.) Shiren, the male vocalist is also a guitarist, due to a condition he has on his arms he is not able to play guitar for extended periods of time, so he takes breaks during concerts and does vocals instead. Unlucky Morpheus describe themselves as "technical melodic speed metal" and i think its pretty accurate, very technical, very fast and powerful and filled with neo classic elements. "The Tower of the Blood" live is a good one for violin lovers, but pretty much every song has violins.

You should try 'Angel of Salvation' of Galneryus, name of the band comes from Guarneri. IMO this song is musically a love song to a violin written by an electric guitar.

Never too late! Fuki is the queen of Japanese metal vocalists. She is classically trained, and that's where that weaponized vibrato comes from. Awesome reaction man ! This is my second favorite (japanese) metal band after Lovebites !!! Fuki is an incredible singer, Jill an incredible violinist and the guys are awesome !!! And it has to be mentioned that they don't have any producer and do everything by themselves !!!! So you should see what kind of clips they make and react to their song "Unending Sorceress" video taken from their last album "Unfinished". But other songs like "Black Pentagram" or "Knight Of Sword" songs and videos are also... GREAT !!!
