A simple T-shirt is boring. I want to improve it, alter it, redo it, add something. Cheap stores are full of T-shirts of any color and size, you can experiment with them.
This time I purposefully looked for white. Recently I was in St. Petersburg and in a store I saw a white knitted T-shirt on a mannequin, ordinary, but all the beauty is in the sleeves. They were made from openwork sewing. This material gave the T-shirt a romantic and feminine feel. Price 1600 rubles.
But we can definitely do this ourselves, there are pieces of embossed fabric.
- The alteration will be quite simple, and the result will be magnificent.
- First I cut off the sleeves. I ironed all the seams.
- I attached them to the lace. I have a small piece and it was a little short in length. In such cases, ideas come when you really want them.
- I decided to cut off the strips from the sleeves of the T-shirt along with the stitching and sew them to the new sleeves, it turned out even better.
- I sewed a finishing stitch along the edge.
In T-shirts, most often the sleeves are attached to the armhole, and then the side seam and the sleeve seam are sewn together.
- I did as usual. First I stitched the side seam, then the sleeve seam.
- I sewed stabilizing stitches along the sleeves and sewed them into the armhole.
Ready! Fitting.
I really like the repurposed t-shirt, just a small new detail, but something new.

For example, a men's T-shirt will turn into a full-fledged women's skirt, below the knee length. Almost all the fabric is used for it.
The simplest thing is to cut off the strip and sew on an elastic band, but then the length will be short. This option is more suitable for children and teenagers.
Master Class:
- First, I marked the expected length on the T-shirt, it turns out to be above the sleeves. I cut the fabric along the sleeves and raised it 10 cm higher.
- Now, instead of cut off sleeves, there will be pockets or their imitation on the sides.
- I cut the sleeves, these parts will go for the bottom of the pockets.
- To process the cut, I used a different fabric so that the pockets were deeper and you could put something in them. I cut the fabric to the shape of the neckline, stitched it on the right side and then turned it to the wrong side.
- I stitched the edges.
- I placed the bottom of the pocket and connected it to the top.
- I overlocked the top edge of the skirt using an overlocker. I marked 4 marks at the same distance from each other.
- For the belt I used a wide elastic band, stitched it into a ring and also marked the marks.
- Then I connected the belt to the skirt and stitched it.
- The bottom of the skirt has already been processed.
