I think your torque calculation has an error. The distance in the torque formula is the distance of the force vector from the axis of rotation (in vector notation, this is r \cross F). So I think you should multiply the force with the radius of the pulley. I can't post an image here, otherwise would have posted a sketch of what I mean.
