I hooked the biggest Jack Crevalle I had ever caught in 2 foot of water in Perdido Bay. I had no idea what I got into. I had only seen them out in the canal and pass. It felt like forever to get him in.
Just wanna say your videos are awesome & my wife and I enjoy you fishing with your mom & love your catch & cooks & happy mothers day to your mom & God bless.
Wow … 10 pound test ….. absolutely amazing Catch …. And may I say you are a true Gentleman! ….. we don’t need to keep all the big ones … Let them Live ….. I only keep the ones I’m gonna eat …… as you do 👍👍🏆🇺🇸
I don't know if I've seen you fish your backyard yet. This was fun to see. That drum was something else! I love your content. Been watching for quite a while now. My and mine are in Atlanta, so we always vacation in the gulf. Watching your videos almost feels like getting away for a little bit.
I liked the "pet" joke you made about the drum, but it had me thinking, you should try tagging some fish you catch by your property and see how many of the same fish frequently visit.
Nice video! We've a guy in the UK with a great fishing channel, "The Fish Locker" - he does boat and shore (well worth a look, catching a huge Thresher). He has a "Take 5" policy, meaning that he'll always take five bits of plastic rubbish whenever he finds some on the beach or rocks.
Always enjoy seeing a new Bama Saltwater video in my feed! Amazing fight with that black drum and I applaud you for throwing that speck back! I know many that if it’s caught at their dock it ain’t measured so kudos to you for abiding by the rules and doing your part at keeping the fish population sustainable and healthy!
I've seen videos of storms down your way, think the 130mph winds might be part of the trash issue. Still y'all keep Bama looking so beautiful! The fish are looking healthy too.
Boy! what a great video, and again good to see your mom fishing. I was imagining one of my grandson's who are 11(twins) holding on to that big drum! Why go off shore when you have that in your backyard. Making me want to find a way back down there this summer. Happy mothers day to your mom from NW La. Randy
We have that liter problem bad here in Louisiana. So bad that they've actually closed public fishing areas just to clean it. Aggravates the stew out of me that people can't take their own trash with them.
I was at the beach this weekend and unfortunately didn’t catch anything but Whatching your videos make me feel like I’m catching them. Love the channel keep it up man
We were down, lost power for a couple of hours early Friday morning. Always hoping to run into you down there one day. Tried my hand at some surf fishing this time. Keep posting the great videos!
Always love the backyard fishing👍👍 It amazes me with those big drum how you can fight one and it never goes more than 10 or 15 yards and the next one takes line like you hooked a truck.
My brother introduced me to your youtube channel last weekend in Venice La while we were fishing. Im become hooked on your channel. Love all your techniques.
Man y’all’s property looks like a flounder haven certain times of the year. Another great video bro. I’ve kept a couple of those big black drum that were gill hooked and not gonna make it and they were not bad at all. One had a few worms in the very end of the tail but other than that all good. I did my best to release all those older bigger drum but they were not gonna make it. I tried for hours on the one and it just wasn’t happening. Figured I better let that be known before the crap started coming at me.
Awesome catch man! I got my very first speckled trout off the Saint Simmons Island, GA pier last weekend. I don’t t live near the shore but I always go when I get the chance and it was so awesome to cross that off my list 17in keeper and it ate good
Mr. Franklin, you put the old Shaw Grigsby on that black drum. I didnt think you were gonna rip his lips quite that hard with that kahle hook. on there, but it worked huh ???
Haha, I grew up through high school (10-13 years ago) right down the street from here and it was a go-to spot. My brother caught his biggest pinfish in here 11 years ago.
Hey Steve I been going to ft Morgan for the last couple of years kayak fishing from long Island ny don't know the waters so if ya ever need a fishing partner hit me up. I'm in ALABAMA late april early may. Didn't get to fish this year got to ft Morgan after a 23hr drive and had the flu when I got there. So maybe next year
Nice video. But just my opinion but The fact any state that allows a redfish minimum slot to be under 22" is crazy but 16" is absolutely ridiculous. There's more meat on a peanut butter and jelly then a redfish under 22"
