So many helpful tips! I loved getting a peak into you and your fiancés personal decorating style! Bathroom looks bright and fresh. Love the cozy lights in the cabinets too. Happy scrub a dub dubbing! 🧽🛀🧼
That's a great example of how just small, easy pops of a color can get the color across. And how neutrals accomplish a lot of color too, just in a more understated, less obvious way. These various lighting options make all the difference too. Love when bathrooms have mellow and bright lighting options.
OMG, the before and after photos at the beginning of this video, through me off, I thought you had gone to the "dark side". lol I was relieved to see that you didn't.
hey james have you ever painted tile? i was thinking about painting the tile on my bathroom floor. thanks... i love the bathroom, but i think you could use a much larger rug, like a long, narrow one. the lighted vanity is fantastic!
Great video!! We totally gutted our master bath as well. Went with Green tint 2139-60 on cabinets and OC 26 Silver Satin on walls. Used Aura on ceiling and walls. Love it all. Just waiting for countertops!!
Perfect timing to find this video! Contractor should be arriving any day now to gut our tiny main floor bathroom. Still struggling with paint colour. Any and all opinions welcome! The room is so small I need to keep it light. There is a window over the tub/shower area, and it faces north. Tub, toilet, countertop/sink, door and all trim will be white. Vanity and medicine cabinet frame are a washed/bleached-look wood (leans towards taupe with a bit of grey, maybe a bit of a pink tone). Flooring is waterproof vinyl plank in the same wood tones as the cabinets but slightly darker. Any other fixtures are brushed nickel. Our big colour is in the tile which will be around the tub and a wainscotting behind the toilet and vanity and it is a watery turquoise (it is both soft and bright at the same time). Straight-up the tile was purchased because I fell in love with it. (I spent 30 years of neutrals "in case we sell", and I am now using the strategy buy what you love, no regrets!). The downside of bright tile, is it limits the wall colour. Need to cover one full wall and top half of the opposite wall. Not a fan of white but feels like we need to stick with white. Any favourite shades of white that will meld nicely with turquoise tiles and have contrast with the white trim? Will be using Benjamin moore Aura. If you read all this thank you!
I think of blue/green in a bathroom as a neutral. I would choose a lighter gray and as bold as you would feel comfortable. This would bring the outdoors in.
You didn’t want to go too bold on the wall lol, it’s white. Looks very nice but do you have colour on any walls in your house, would love to see those.
I echo the other's questions about the shower door. Does it do a good job at keeping the water off the floor or just a so-so job? Secondly, from me, I would give my eye teeth to have bathroom that large. Our bathroom is smaller than some powder rooms I've seen.
Nice job . . liked your colour choices. My only suggestion would have been better lighting on either side of the mirror. Pot lighting causes shadows on your face and not ideal for makeup application, etc. Your girlfriend might find that a useful addition.
