I don't think being a Kampung Girl should be seen as being backwards, unsophisticated or simple minded as what you are implying. A city girl doesn't necessarily smarter and more sophisticated than a kampung girl. I think it's the mindset that see kampung as backwards is the one needs changing. There's no shame in being or wanting to be a Kampung girl

Also, when iChang wrote "Kampung Girl" in her title, I don't think she meant it like how you meant it. And that's not how most of us read it until someone like you bring it up...

Tudung is never about race. It’s related to religion, period. Chinese should impart this on their minds that there are huge differences between religion and races. And yeah, Hari Raya is not New Year like most of you Chinese think. Open your minds, mingle more with people from other races and learn to be understanding.
