so, if anyone was curious, I'm pretty sure that a lot of the weirdness that happens near the farlands is a result of float imprecision. Basically, the way minecraft, and most computer programs, for that matter, store non-integer numbers, such as coordinates is by using floating point variables. because of the way floating point variables are stored, the further the number is from zero, the less precise the number can be, meaning that the distance between possible values gets wider and wider. in most contexts this basically never matters, because the range of possible values is pretty huge, but at extreme values things can start to get very noticeably broken. The farlands themselves are, I believe, when the distance between consecutive values gets so big that it breaks something about Minecraft's terrain generation code.

Yes the seeds where updated when 1.18 came. I had a bace and it was 1.17 1.18 came and it was like the world tried sorting its biomes out square biomes beside each other like chess boards.

I wish you can do that in newer versions. I guess its like where the world goes broken or something but the farlands look really great

even though it was really nice to see the journey, i think it still is possible to back to an older update, where you just had to go to "the end", and defeat the enderdragon 3 times, and you would up in a place like it, which i did a few years ago. cant remember what update though.

If the world was created 1.12.2 you could downgrade through every version until you hit around the 1.0 mark. Then you would have to downgrade the world to beta 1.7.3 using a MCA to MCR region converter which replaces all modern blocks. You could go even further and downgrade to alpha or infdev using an old version of mcedit though that would require you to manually remove all modern blocks that don't exist in alpha or infdev or it would crash.
