Can you please help me with the scenario below? Issue/Story comes up when a story of 5 points is 90% done but needs a tiny bit more work in the next sprint. Usually we take that forward to the next sprint and finish it there. But the issue is in the sprint burndown (or epic, release burndowns) it shows that we did no work in the first sprint and over worked in the second sprint. What's the solution? Eg. Story - 5 points and left with 2 points of work. I'll move to next sprint bcz PO said it's high priority. What we need to do for above scenario in next sprint ? Please suggest 🙏
I have a video talking about it here: scrummastered.com/blog/velocity-is-a-made-up-number-%f0%9f%8e%a5/ and also this one about carry over: scrummastered.com/blog/3-strategies-to-deal-with-sprint-carry-over/ I think this can answer your question
Awesome and informative video and really well presented. Truth be told, I will need to watch it again to allow it to sink in, but that's not a hardship right 😄. It was cool to see it being use in teams in other countries, who no doubt have the same questions and challenges I and other might have using Kanban - Great Job Daria !
