I traveled across the world for a CAT 

I love how with the dogs it's almost always "I don't think they will try anything but just in case..." And with cats it's usually "Please don't kill me"

Several observations 1. Vanessa keeps saying "It's Ok" Greta is looking at her with "I do not think it means what you think it means.” eyes! 2. Greta is pretty chill, like she is pretty used to people pampering her 3. Greta is a FLOOFY BEAUTY!

Her little complaint mews 🥺 for her first time she did wonderful! Her being blow dried in your lap is the best scene!

I like how Vanessa asks these innocent questions like "Are you going to be difficult" to cats, when the answer is always on some level "definitely yes".

She was so well behaved! What a good girl!

Hearing you speak about Kaz shows how you really do have a deep understanding and empathy for all animals; great and small. It's hard to part with a beloved pet but when it comes to their best interests and health sometimes you just have to. It must have been so tough for you to go through (as they say, cats leave pawprints on your heart!) but your intentions are clear and it's admirable that you put his safety before your own emotions.

Greta looks like one of those cats whose only reaction to anything that bothers them is to give it a "how rude"-look 😄

That transition from her in the rage cage to chilling on your lap was the cutest thing lol

Kaz sounds exactly like my most recent oldest kitty Chelsea. She was a rescue kitten with terrible ringworm. It was treated before we adopted her, and as a result she was…not the cutest kitten, missing half of her whiskers and tail fur. However, she grew up to have the biggest eyes I’ve seen on a tabby. After learning about feral cats (thank you Jackson Galaxy!) we learned how to incorporate her into our lives and compromise. She loved nothing more than cuddles and pets. One stroke of a finger on her back and she’d start purring like there was no tomorrow and beg for more! Chelsea had kitten energy up until her last days. She was so entertaining and fun, but no she wasn’t bright either. She passed away last year and it was only because she lived a good life that she lived as long as she did. When you have a good pet you never forget.

I love the stages of drying - first the rage cage, then belly-up in your lap, then on the table looking five times bigger due to the floofiness factor. Her humans clearly do put the work in on her coat and she's completely accustomed to it.

The end photo...Her eyes are so dilated. Anxious precious girl. I hope she got extra special treats for her very good behavior. Beautiful girl!❤

Greta was well behaved considering it was her first time with you. I'm glad she was as soft as she looked, it means her owner takes care of her.

Greta did extremely surprising well for her bath and grooming. I've never seen a cat be more chill.

Greta was a good girl! She seemed to just accept her fate and lay down while letting you work on her, but wow she was so calm nevertheless.

Greta's disgruntled dowager expression is HILARIOUS. Good kitty! Hey, Vanessa, now that you're doing well financially, you can have cats again! Just hire a local teenager to come in after school and change the litter. ;-) Works for me!

This cat does have beautiful fur! And she behaved very well for all that brushing. It must be satisfying to send home an animal that looks so lovely after you have worked on them. I love your videos!

What a beautiful floofinator! Her long cheek floof is the best

She reminds me of one of my cats (a long haired domestic, totally different colour) in how she behaves. I groomed mine myself (going back nearly 20 years here lol) and it was a similar tail swipe and cry, but never claws or teeth. Absolutely beautiful cat and kudos to the owners as well for maintaining that fur!

Love this kitty (we have two big boys now, 14 lbs each). She is amazingly calm and her sitting upside down on your lab with the dryer on is incredible! And so funny. I'm lucky we're near two super great cat groomers, they're hard to find.

man I used to really believe people who rehome their pets when moving don't care or don't try to make the situation work but you really did make a good decision for him its not easy and maybe you'll find another kitty you can have. I am glad you found him a good safe home

The technique of parting their hair and brushing from the skin out, one swath then another parting next to it, one little section at a time, reminds me of human hair styling. My two cats are domestic "shorthair" but their fur is medium length. I now starting using this technique on them and it's very good! It doesn't pull their hair too much or make them uncomfortable. Thank you for teaching!

Speaking of hating litter boxes, we recently found out about using pine/softwood pellets as an alternative to traditional clay litter, and wow is it amazing. May be worth looking into if you decided you were ready for another cat.

I've never seen a cat that will need to get groomed. She was an exceptionally good girl. You did a terrific job with her.❤

My husband and I found a kitten where we worked, and he was covered in fuel oil. We can't resist a stray animal so we took him home. I was worried about how he'd take to getting a bath, but he LOVED it! From then on, every time someone was at the bathroom sink, he wanted in it.

she is SO pretty! Smoke tortie I think... I don't know how anyone could say youy're not a cat person? you cpeak of them with such affection when you work with them! (genuinely, they're lil demons, but we all know that.) I loved the transition from "rage cage" to "lap teddybear"

5 of the 6 ends on a cat are pointy & sharp. Lol. Only the tail can be non-lethal. Greta is beautiful. Being a good pet parent means doing the best for the animal. TY for sharing, Vanessa.

On the note of litter boxes, prior to our most recent living situation (no real lawn and lots of neighbors, some of whom are quite mean to cats) all of our cats were trained to go outside like dogs. We taught them to go to the door and meow when they needed out and we'd let them out, they'd go do their business and either play a bit or come back in. A thought for if you would like a cat. I also have discovered a hatred of litter boxes. Wood pellets makes it a bit better but not by much.

When you said she was as soft as a rabbit it really made me want to pet her. You are lucky to get to pet so many fluffykins.

I think you did the very best thing for Caz cat. Sometimes doing the right thing can hurt. Oh yes cats can be quite unpredictable!! And usually react badly to getting wet. One old cat I adopted after the human passed. She was so disabled by matting, and so scared. Had to get the vet to take the mats out under sedation. Her matting on her belly made it painful to walk. And those short faces also make it hard for them to keep clean. * yes my first action after accepting her was a vet visit.
