I have that same one Epiphone and it is my favorite guitar. I have two GIBSON but I still use my Epiphone Standard Plus Top Pro more. Great sound and very comfortable, could be worth a lot more money nowadays.Sincerely I think it is one of the best Epiphones ever made.
I own Gibson and Epiphone guitars. Gibsons are drastically WAY overpriced. I love both brands but my 2 Epiphone rigs are excellent and do the thing just as well. I personally prefer a poly finish over nitro (I know, sacrilege) because poly is drastically more durable.
Playing clean on the bridge, the Gibson sounds a bit brighter... with overdrive they both sound very very similar, tiny advantage for the Gibson. What you pay extra for in the case of the Gibson is the Brand name on the headstock and also the feel that the guitar transmits you when you play it... the playability. I have to admit that it's something that I cannot explain, but you feel it. It's there! Is that feeling worth 2000? that's for you to decide... 🙂
It’s great. Didn’t expect that from an Epiphone but man what a surprise. The pro buckers are way better than I thought they would be. I added Grover locking tuners and Schaller strap locks and it’s a hell of a player.
Yes right cause the CNC machine is concerned about the wether it is located in china or in the us, dont make a fool out of yourself. Gibson from the standart USA line aren't really that different from any other guitar that is manufactured around the world. Gibson USA does not have high skilled luthiers it's mostly wagies that work for minimum pay and the same machines and building processes that everyone else uses. Gibson Customshop on the other hand is a totally different topic. But even then other country's have similar customshops. You all act as if Gibson in particular uses some kind of fairy dust or virgin sacrifices to build the ultimate guitar smh.
