Coach G, You Tried. There are people out there no matter your intentions, you cant help or fix. There is no telling what he may have been through. Unfortunately some of the folks out there on the streets have lived their entire life there, that's all they know. Sadly they have no capability to or understand how to communicate or interact with people. Its a sad situation , but its real. You tried my friend. You can continue to look out for and offer what you can. But he may never recognize you for that. 🤠🤘💖
I have some relatives like that. The family has tried to help them their whole lives, but they resist improvement. They liquidate everything we give them for pennies on the dollar because they don't see value in things. They can't remember yesterday, and can't see as far as tomorrow. They live only in the moment. What they want is cash to get what they want right now. There are people out there who would appreciate such a kind gesture. Be patient, friend, and the Lord will show you who you're really supposed to give it too.

Anyone dealing with severe mental trauma is difficult to help. But you've been doing great things for him. It didn't work out this time but your heart was in the right place.
You what they say. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make that horse drink the water. It is sad and hard to watch but you can’t help someone that wants no help. I am going through something very similar and it breaks my heart so I know that feeling all to well. Hold your head up high brother.

Sounds to me like he still has a battle going on in his head.. we may never know. Don’t give up maybe you’ll see someone that actually appreciate the help and could need and use that bicycle.
I think it's wonderful what you did and I think that you should not let this discourage you there is going to be someone someday that will turn the life around because of you and then hopefully they'll help others the same way and it will just keep going that way pray about the situation and ask Jesus to guide you to the people
I have to assume this person does not have the ability to ride a bicycle. I know with my balance issues I don't and I don't have traumatic or alcohol issues. If he doesn't have the mental ability to remember you two days after your conversation then the issue is not with you and you have no reason to feel bad. You tried and he failed. Turn your energy toward someone who not only needs help but is willing to accept help. Is there someone at your work walking to work every day? Do you notice someone walking the same route every day not just for exercise? Make sure they're willing to accept help because a lot of people only want money and not real help. Keep up the good G!👍
Helping someone in need is between you and GOD. What that person does with it is between them and GOD. If you can give without acknowledgment or expectatation - you'll find peace and joy in giving. Just something to consider
Unfortunately, some people have vices that run their lives. It does sound like this person has some vices that may make them go over the edge. You might want to step away from that person for a little bit and let them chill and see what happens. As much as you want to help, your safety is priority in your situation.
I saw that coming, that’s why I asked you the question before. He likely has issues way above your pay grade. Maybe you’ll come across a family to help but my wish would be for you to focus on yourself for a while
He was probably on drugs. Leave those people along. They are not your responsibility. They chose their lot in life and its not for you to change that. When they decide to change then it will happen. We all have free will.
