That juice you were talking about that you had as a kid would it of been Tampico? They sell it at Dollar Tree's DG ect.. It tastes thicker than normal juices and kinda looks more thick if that makes any sense 😂
I think the splash flavors are geared towards people who want to drink more water without all the extra additives like sugar, but may find it difficult to do so since a lot of people find plain water to be “boring.”
I am so annoyed that he did not carbonate these when pop is specifically made with the idea of c02 which does has its own flavor it also does alot of other things with the drink to intensify the flavours
I can hear the review now, "OK Ok, dont get me wrong, This is TERRIBLE, BUT! Since it is a splash and the flavor is muted, its not supposed to be sweet so you're not missing that, IF you like pickles, you might just like this, I cant see a regular flavor not tasting like straigh pickle juice and come on who in their right mind would drink pickle juice?? if you're a fan of pickles, the muted pickle flavor *I THINK* might be preferable, But I still hate it. [tosses straight in trash]"
The Splash flavors are meant to be for sparkling water, like La Croix. Not sweet at all, barely flavored. You might try adding a little sweetener to each one then judge the flavors. It would still be less sugar than most carbonated beverages.
I think the "splash" ones were meant to be added to the other ones. Which is why they might be sugarless and called splash. You know, like, a splash of this and a splash of that? 🤷♂
@@Boiled-Odenyes, seems like the splash cartridges were meant to make an essence scented sparkling water drink. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d be down, I love citrus flavored seltzer.
I believe the drinks you are talking about are the little hug fruit barrel drinks, they came in 4 different colors each flavored differently, although it really wasnt that much different in each flavor
there's a VERY large demographic of people who enjoy unsweetened "seltzer" water drinks (like La Croix), which many haters say is like someone whispered the flavor in the next room while you were drinking sparkling water. same demographic for those splash flavors.
It feels so weird watching someone test a sparkling water maker without using carbonation. Why even use the machine at all? I would have at least tried each flavor carbonated and not carbonated.
Yeah, it's a little silly. He might as well just squeeze the pods into a glass of water but they already make those and they don't need a machine. I gotta give him an L on this one.
People love that sparkling water that is supposedly flavored but it tastes more like they threatened the bottle with a raspberry than put any in it. That's probably what those Splash flavors are meant to emulate.
You need carbonation with the splash flavors. Most of you flavor senses come from your nose. And with the carbonation action, the effervescence will send the flavor to your nose.
Tyler, a lot of people like the La Croix/Hint/Bubly style drinks where its just a tiny hint of flavor. You don't. I don't. The difference between you and I is that I recognize those drinks aren't for me, and you don't.
Many of these flavors are specifically designed to be Carbonated. I know you don't like carbonation much, but I bet there would have been a large difference in taste had you carbonated them
This! I almost couldn't bring myself to watch once he said he would be testing with no carbonation, because you already know these drinks (that are specifically designed to be sparkling), are going to suck without it.
@tylertube I don’t know anything about this product but do you think that just maybe the “splash” means it’s supposed to be just a splash, not on “full flavor”? I’m curious what you would think on maybe 50% flavor.
By the way I think you're really blue an opportunity for this video I'm assuming you're not drinking all of it and you're dumping the excess you should have dumped the excess from all of the flavors into a picture to make a monstrous evil concoction of everything mixed together and then try that :-)
The problem is you're probably using the drinks wrong They're intended to be carbonated which is going to boost some aspects of the flavor and scent Fruit essence is tricking your mind into detecting flavor. Some people like unflavored water or soda that has a hint of flavor a scent of flavor those are pretty large part of the demographic that they're probably targeting that enjoys that do you like seltzer water? If you're like me you probably cringe when I said that seltzer water is nasty But there is a large segment of people who like seltzer water and they like that hint of flavor sent kind of taste that's very light and unsweetened Think all the weirdos were like unsweetened tea :-) Those kind of people are going to enjoy the splash flavors people obviously like you and probably like me as well would not enjoy them
Yeah, I think that's the trick. I really like the Zero Sugar sodas that's been coming out, tastes like the real thing. And then I had one that went flat and it was outright terrible and half tasteless. I think the carbonation kinda forces the flavor/smell into your nose or something.
Yep your right What is a Fruit Essence? Fruit Essence, also known as distillate water, is the highly aromatic water recovered during the juice concentration process. When we produce juice concentrate, we heat fruit material like the juice, skins, remnants, etc., and reduce it to a syrupy, viscous liquid.
It is really bugging me that he is not listening to all the comments saying the same thing. I quit watching 4 flavors in because it is just ridiculous lol
Splash is not meant to be a hard flavour. They are meant to be a hint of flavour for your water (Sparkling or straight). Lightly flavoured water, as opposed to strong cordial/juice flavour.
Don't trust this guy's opinions (plus tasting without carbonation is pointless, since CO2 changes the flavors and no one is buying it to make flavored plain water). The Splashs should be combined with other flavors. BTW, based on the 8 flavors that came with it, and one I purchased (Pineapple), the best combos I've found are Orange-tangerine + Island Mango (3 on gas, 1 & 1 on flavors). And Orange-tangerine + Tart lemon (3/1/1), which tastes like Polar Orange Dry soda. Tropical pineapple + Island mango (3/1/1) tastes sort of like a pina colada. Lemonade + strawberry-kiwi (3/1/1) is sort of pink lemonade. Combining unsweetened + sweetened helps reduce the sweetness, which is a bit high for me in the sweetened ones. I don't find any reason to go above setting 1 on the flavors. Orange-tangerine + Lemonade (3/1/1) is pretty good.
You made a fancy mio drink enhancer squeezer. The main gimmick of the machine is to make fizzy drinks. The splash flavors are supposed to be like la croix. They taste different with carbonation.
I love Tyler to eat every things you can by pickle, ie pickle egg. Plus also get liquid pickle juice (pickle onion juice and carbonate it to make it fizzy and then drink it. Lol 😅 Plus re carbonating liquid do another video but this time do beverages drinks ie coffee, and squash drinks to see what happens if you make them fizzy
If you liked the pineapple and coconut, my favorite alcoholic beverage is Malibu and pineapple juice! I don't know if you drink liquor, but it's so good! Lol
I think, like others, that the splash flavors are targeting the sparkling water fans, or for those who just want to ramp up some of the other flavors in the vitamins and hydrate group. I'm sure they aren't putting out terrible flavors intentionally
Bro.. you're using a carbonated drink dispensor.. to drink non-carbonated drinks. Of course these flavors are all going to be mostly mid, because they're all designed specifically to be drank with carbonation you goofy goober lol.
you"re my fav youtuber tyler, wish u would post every daay hahha i bet u"d get tons of views every day! or make multiple vids daily :D maybe a little vlogs on what u do etc. just don"t exhaust urself too much, if u can"t do more, don"t
16:50 - Yeah, we called it being poor AF when I was coming up. Hehe, chemical flavors were always more prevalent than natural ones. So, yes, I still like that sort of taste.
splash have not Artificial sweetening. it may explain why they been getting the bad rap. I suspect they're might better to add one drop of any splash flavor with either other drinks either from the hydric, vitamins, and energy variety.
3:40 is there a way just to squeeze the container into the water? Maybe they just need more favoring I say skeptically in a high-pitched voice 😬 10:50 at this point I think the machine is a gimmick. It reminds me of the other containers you can squeeze and add flavor to the water.
