I believe in the modern day, this is the way to play this deck. You add pressure with attacking monsters that come back while using the destiny board as a secondary win condition. Dark sanctuary protects you board with risk but helps tremendously either staying alive long enough to get the board out or to attack for life points. Love how this deck does not care about banishment either because of sentence of doom and curse necro. Very well done. 👍
I run a Labranith/Destiny Board hybrid deck that does decently in terms of win rates. I find the best use for Destiny board package is actually being able to search out Lava Golem (his a level 8 FIEND ^__^ ) for board clears of troublesome cards and using Destiny board itself as a draw/utility engine. Although, the amount of surprise Destiny board wins I've gotten by ambushing my opponent with Sentence of Doom thinking they had more time is funny. That or watching my opponent burn themselves with Dark Sanctuary.
It’s a hard deck to make work. I was surprised how the fiend portion of the deck deck faired. The destiny board part usually felt like it was holding me back. Lol it’s just way to slow for the modern era.
Might I suggest playing the trap card "Spirit Barrier" it prevents all battle damage if you have a monster on the field and when you summon the spirit message cards with "Dark Sanctuary" they count so it's a good back up in case you keep losing the coin tosses.
I change things around as I rank up and start replacing cards with others if I don’t find them impactful enough. Near the end it was almost impossible to win with destiny board so needed to distract them with fiend pressure and other things.
Save up a bunch of gems and then craft a dark spirit of malice/banishment or destiny board to unlock the trap in the wicked castle secret pack and pull a bunch of cards from there and hope they are the URs from the pack. Most of the other cards you will probably need to craft since many of them like tour guide don't have a secret pack.
