I Tried Arknights as a Genshin Impact Player...

The Worldbuilding, Lore, Story, Design Drip and everything in Arknights is just insane, i never thought that in a few years this would be one of the only games that I've ever stayed and played the longest, and i dont regret it one bit!! Also great video once again UD!!!

I've initially picked up this game because I don't have anything to do in Genshin as an AR60 Welkins only player with fully built units which basically meant that the content there consists of waiting for resin for endless artifact farming and waiting for banner to roll for. But once after picking up this game, Genshin almost became my side game to the point that I've even failed to obtain all the Golden Apple Archipelago chests in the recent events because I've been enjoying Arknights especially the Intergrated Strategies and its banger of a CC lobby music. Also, obtaining Ling just further cemented my love for this game.

I tried Arknights as a Genshin player because UD highly recommended it in his previous video, and boy I can't drop it now, can't manage 3 games so I had to drop Honkai at the moment for Arknights, love it so far. Still couldn't believe I recently got myself my first ever nendoroid, it's Amiya. Nontheless Honkai and Genshin will always hold a special place in my heart.

Honestly though, Arknights has a special place in my heart, I've always thought that its gameplay was so unique(in a sense that it could make tower defense such a complex yet fun system) but at the same time also drawing you in with its story, music and drip and so far it hasn't burned me out yet😂. I've always appreciated those but goddamn did it amplify when I started watching you, you seriously keep taking the words right out of my mouth about all these things specially the vibe and the music, and it just made the experience much more exciting, being able to vibe with the fam and the community. It genuinely feels like a different world for me :DDD, anyways thank you UD for making this vid it really encapsulates why I fell in love with this game for so long now. Cheers!!!🍻

Been playing since day 1 and I FEEL you. A couple times I’ve had to stop playing (sometimes for months on end) bc I have too many things on my plate, but I come back every time. Why? Because I LOVE the characters, I LOVE the story, the MUSIC ahhh EVERYTHING. Been playing again for the past 2 months straight and I don’t plan to stop!! Also, Surtr is my wife so I can’t possibly leave her after all the effort I put in her LOL Looking foreword to more AK contend UD ❤️❤️

I play both games and honestly, Arknights' story and world building are just much deeper and addictive that it almost make Genshin's feel like a high budget kid's cartoon for me. (love the open world experience tho). The artistic aspect of Arknights is on another level as well.

As someone who plays Honkai, Genshin, AND Arknights seeing this notification fills me with an immeasurable amount of joy.

This tower defense is extremely interactive due to the fact that, well, YOUR TOWERS CAN DIE. This means you have to pay attention at all times to the health, the damage, when to use skills, etc. It's extremely stressful at times and it's a game that is not for those who are ready to grind for hours trying to beat the same boss. Or you could just search up kyostinv and beat every level with starter operators lmao

Absolutely love this. Arknights has introduced me to whole new genre of design interms of clothes, graphics, etc I just love it.

This has been the only gacha game where it never feels like a chore to login and do daily’s. Arknights truly feels like a game that came out at the right time. Everything Unreal mentioned so true and I look forward to and this community as well sharinf more vibe moments with Unreal.

Picked up arknights a couple months ago, and yep its here to stay. I love honkai to death, but arknights is just more fun. Always a joy to get up and mess around with the stages and figure out what I can do with what I've got, or just sit and vibe to the music while playing another game

The things that keep me playing this game are everything above, the UI and the fact that they have a event series called "contingency contract" which is like soul games but in tower defense mode. It's really hard but I like how a creep can instakill my OP YES I'M ON FIRE 🔥

Probably the first game that i fall in love with stay for almost 3 years. Tho the genre of the games is boring but all the enemy and mechanic keeps you excited. The in game lore are also pretty good! If i had to say why i chose to stay Arknights is because of its community. AK community might be the best community ive ever met cause they're mostly chill and welcome every new AK players and help them progressing in the game by giving them a guide. You can also make friends at there!! If you ask how toxic AK community is.. im not going to say it's entirely friendly cause there's also a bit of toxic people in there but i rarely or almost never encounter any toxic people in AK during my stay. Also come visit us again if you have time. Would be appreciated if you stay cause no matter whether you're a GI player or not cause everyone are welcome to Arknights!! 😊

Years ago...I started Arknights as both Azur Lane and Honkai Player....and rn....I'm more addicted to Arknights more than them...it's just the clothing, as an artist.. I was inspired to make some modern clothing design that fit in to real life...and as for music.. they all got my favorites

This game is so damn aesthetic. It’s like Epic Seven in tower defense form, but just does everything to perfection (epic seven is pretty fun too). The story is my reason to stay. I have truly never been so attached to characters like frostnova and amiya. It’s just a masterpiece and it makes sure you freaking know it

I like Genshin but I love Arknights because the lore and world is amazing and yeah, it's a tower defense game but unlike most gacha where it's "pay 2 win", you can stick to your low stars and they'll still do good, if used right. Also, I love the dystopian military and tactical outfits.

Me in the past: A tower defense game? Nah! Me right now: Give me my Surtr right now! Seriously though I dont really like tower defense games since I was very bad at it. But Arknights show me that there is something what to love about this game-The Art,the story and the music. I remember someone I know told me "If you dont like someone or something try to find what is likeable about them. Focus on that and you will realize you will also begin to love what you dont like".

Everyone talked about the lore, characters and writing (all valid and correct). What I like about the game is that it's very easy to do dailies. If you're not farming for something in particular, you can usually do your dailies quickly by using up your sanity and checking your Base. You don't even have to do all the missions for the daily rewards. But they do add to weeklies. The game gives you just enough sanity refills, and you feel encouraged to use them if you want to. And you'll get more eventually, so there's no worries about them expiring unless you wanna farm or save them for an event.

You have no idea how much I enjoy this game, there isn’t a SINGLE day that goes by without be logging in just to enjoy some music, incredible artwork, and even to play some challenging content because Hypergryph has taken the concept of a tower defense game, and take it to a WHOLE new level, and add what they’re strong in (music/art/strategy) to compensate from the boredom some people may get out of a tower defense game, and it turns out to be an amazing product! Bless Hypergryph for bringing us such a good game, and they’re a MUSIC COMPANY by the way Well fam, UD’s the metal, the fam, and even the game alone is the magnet LOL

after playing honkai impact, azure lane, uma musume, PGR, Fate GO And genshin impact, i decided to try out arknights and see why its one of the popular gacha... and goddamn my small gacha brain wasnt ready for it when i reached midgame, i spent hours just to beat a chapter and missing a second of putting down a operator would mess up a run...

Yeah good luck trying to leave this game for good lmao- I meant to drop it too awhile back but here I am, a level 96 player as deep as I possibly can be xD Honestly the world building is amazing in this game, the dialogue is certianly long but it's nice seeing them put so much effort into it all! To say the people that did the PVs and trailers are talented is quite an understatement. I've never seen such incredibly good looking animations for a mobile game, probably the best in class. The themes are incredibly good too. Most if not all of the themes are always worth listening to again and again. I really wish more people would play this game since it's one of the best gacha games ever created.

I keep trying and failing to remember what exactly got me into Arknights and I kind of gave up on remembering. I've played a bunch of tower defense games, from Bloons TD6, Alien Creeps, Defense Zone 3 to Kingdom Rush ripoffs and a few more obscure ones I found on the Windoes 8 store ages ago when that was a thing lol. Arknights hits different, it transcends the traditional bounds of 'just a tower defense game' to reach heights that just blew me away when I really got into it. Initially, the art and music impressed me then the gameplay and story got me and I wanted more and stayed for more as the economy was so comfortable, I aways felt like I could get anything that I wanted within reason. With some games, when I play it for too long, it gets stale, with others like State of Decay 2, Fallout 4 (with a bunch of fun mods), and even Minecraft (for a time) never really got stale. With Ak in particular, as I learned the mechanics, the enemies and the operators and expanded and strengthened my roster, I just had more fun as I had so many angles to tackles stages from so much freedom to play around with. Ak has been aging like wine for me and I don't often come across stuff quite like it. The community on reddit (super helpful and informative), RU-vid (showed me the ropes early game and has a bunch of cool clears and entertainment), Twitch (pretty tightly knit and wholesome) and even twitter of all places is quite nice. Is it perfect? Nope, nothing is but as a pretty picky person with what I spend my time on, I'm... very comfortable and simultaneously excited for what's to come! Sweet editing and smooth overall flow UD 👍🏼

Started playing Arknight for no other reason than just watching trailer PV 1 and 2, caught me right there and then. Seriously this game doesn't need too much verbal recommendation just show PVs and clips and music tracks, that's already more than enough.

I quit genshin after a year and a half of no QoL updates, but Arknights and it's community is so warm and welcoming you almost feel like you joined a close knit family

Man Hyper glyph is just a music company that happens to make a game. Arknights soundtracks are unrivalled when it comes to gatcha games. Did you know W's theme Renegade was nominated for an award and only lost because its competitor was League of Legends. Thats how you know there is legit some bops that come out of this game.

Best thing about arknights is the gacha You can enjoy yourself playing stages at your own pace because if there's a limited you are most likely going to get 48-50 pulls which is the pity and the limited are not needed except for some strats which you can just borrow from support

I remember being pretty excited when you first started showing more interest in Arknights. As someone who loves Arknights and really enjoys your videos on it, I’m…glad(?) that you seem incapable of completely dropping it(though you saying you’ve tried to several times does make me wonder a bit). The way you cover things like it’s fashion and music is more interesting than I would’ve thought it would be, and I’m always looking forward to seeing you stream some story every now and then. It's impressive how many different kinds of people this game appeals to. The "drip" does very little for me, but I started playing because I saw characters that visually reminded me of Shadowrun, and I've stuck with it for over a year now. Here's hoping to many more.

I am actually veteran Azur Lane player. And i mean it. Almost since its release in Japan (so years ago). And i started playing Arknights soon after it was released on global because it was also Yostar. Now i still play both games, but Arknights is the game i still come every event excited not only for new characters to pull, but also their story, and whole lore of the world, obviously music and even arts (pun kinda intended?)

I would still keep myself up to date with the content because I always anticipate what's the next banger Music they release along with the event. Specially Contingency Contract Events always has banger OSTs.

Well i played AK since first release until now,and i cant delete it cause i must play all the event and CC,the story in event or original story really good and i cant wait about next cc event (cause i need the mats for m3 my goldenglow or namie mama will kill me cause i not m3 her daughter skill😅)

arknights is the game for me not too demanding timewise, fun to play, and completely fine to be f2p i ended up buying more packs than i planned bcs i want to spend more not bcs the game force me or demands me to spend more, but bcs i feel like i want more unique operators to play with, to increase my fun, create more creative strategies, etc. Love this game.

i play Arknight when Gigguk upload a Video about playing gacha game, there is arknight, i saw it and got interested (also there are lot's of ad about the game) then i play Arknight at the time my phone is potato so my game frame is just bad, so i drop it after chapter 3 and im so bad at the game at the time, (not knowing there is guide, like KyostinV, Eckogen, Kukikaze, ect & also too lazy to search for guide and watch the guide probably), then when Dusk banner (who is real event no 1) came out then i came back to the game. Also one of the main reason i came back to the game is when i see che'n and i immedietally "Gotta get her" after playing 1 week, i just got hooked , also burnt from Genshin, Cs: Go so i thought of trying something new.

Longtime player, and man, I gotta say In the beginning, I was having trouble keep up with it, since it just didn't *click* with me, but I was interested enough to keep trying. Before I realized it, I was launching it every day, multiple times, making sure my sanity never capped, pulling for every new character, getting *all the drip*... It just does something to you, man. And it's just been getting better since the relatively small-scale beginnings. Looking forward to see what else they do in the future, any more possible collabs, crazy events, and so on.

I can’t think of any good reason to stop playing the game, everything remarkable aside such as character design, story, difficulty of levels. Just the, Arknights is just so, free, there isn’t another gacha game that has allowed me this much freedom. When I quit a gacha game, usually it’s because it started to feel like a part-time job, and I got burnt-out of having to login and do my daily missions. But with Arknights, while of course I wouldn’t get as much reward as others, the game never leaves me behind even if I only take no more than one hour out to play each week. It takes no more than five minute to do my daily, guaranteeing me that sweet 100 orundum everyday. Annihilation takes no more than an hour at most, with the upcoming QOL Annihilation skip ticket, it’s bound to get easier in due time. I’ve skipped over three CC event now and while I do feel sad that I missed out on getting some medals, I don’t feel like I’ve lost anything, nor is the banners chasing my ass to grind everyday. People may differ, but for the guys like me who likes to play casual and spend a few dimes here and there, Arknights is truly a haven amongst the gacha games. None can beat it at how masterfully it can handle both it’s hardcore and casual players. It’s not easy for the hardcore players but neither will it punish you for not playing often. Can’t say the same about FGO, Just going into the menu screen drains my entire day’s energy, looking at the timer that decreases everyday, the fukin Scathach bunny event rn. Missing out on all my daily and weekly. It’s draining my mental health and I think I’m gonna skip this event too.

Arknights its an amazing game, one of the best worlds around. Sadly after playing for 2 yeasr like that i dropped the game, the gacha was insane bad w me, still one of the best game ngl.

There's another game that also has a really good music as one of it's selling point, The JP version is also published by Yostar but the EN version is published by NEXON. Not sure if it's your cup of tea considering the gameplay is a bit.... Ehhhh.... It's alright by my standards. It's Blue Archive.
