I have dealt with sensitive skin and products have burned my skin and broke me out. I found oil cleansing has shrunk my pores and healed the acne I had. I oil cleanse with olive oil and for my moisturizer I use extra virgin argan oil and squalene oil. I also stopped drinking milk.
The scent is the essential oils that are in it. If you have acne prone skin and you wear makeup I would recommend double cleansing. First using your makeup melter then going in with a cleanser to ensure every last bit of makeup is off :) also when applying serums for the face you can use your whole hand to apply it (both hands) using the ring finger is only really necessary when applying eye cream. Using your whole 2 hands will help the product absorb deeper into the skin and you can massage your skin at the same time which will plump the skin! Great video
This serum has salicylic acid and it will make you purge. It is a skin care you won't see results over night. Next time you need to research how to use skin cares depending on the ingredients. This item is perfect for oily skin. If I were you use this every other day if you think it is too irritating for your skin. But tbh the tingling sensation is normal. I also use the Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos and that one gives a tingling sensation too.
I believe I was allergic to other ingredients in the serum, as my skin was burning and red after use. I love and swear by TLC Framboos and that has never irritated my skin the way this serum did. I would never advise anyone to continue using skincare that causes them an allergic reaction.
Omg I’m so thankful I found this review. I just tried this product for the first time and had the same reaction as you. Will not be using this product again!
I HAD THE SAME REACTION! Terrible bright dots! Also never happened to me. So glad to hear that others had this reaction- just happy to figure out what was happening to my skin.
You need to try the Vinoperfect serum line, not the pure one. I have very super sensitive skin , were talking allergy to chlorine in the water! Go back and get a sample & try this one instead. I had an allergic reaction to anesthesia & my skin had BLACK marks all over & breakouts. Tried EVERYTHING at Sephora. Literally after some more research I got a sample & I went back and purchased .(almost finished 1st bottle in 2 months, I know excessive, and just purchased 2nd one at VIB sale) Also get sample of SOS cream for dry skin and glycolic night cream if needed. I think you got the wrong line in brand. I have purchased the almost ENTIRE line, essence, cleansing milk, elixer, masks and Cru eye set. I don't need it yet but I'm starting b4 I get ANY issues! I have got rid of all other skincare lines, yes all other lines...Murad, Tacha, Drunk Elephant , ect with exception of the new makeup remover. I am almost completely spot free & it was HORRIBLE in less than 3 months. I might try to wear only a BB cream for a change instead of my full coverage foundation since I live I S Florida. Line is expensive, but it is so worth it. I'm probably going to get rest of line today. I'm a happy girl who has been shouting the praise over this line to EVERYONE!
Vinoperfect line from Caudalie works magic not only as a spot treatment but helps with skin resurfacing also. I just keep repurchasing it on and on. I'll consider the glycolic cream for night time from now on :)
OMG thank u sooooooo much for making this review! I got this as a sample at Sephora & I slept with this on my face overnight and when I woke up I had the three small bumps on my left cheek just like you!! I was seriously freaking out & thinking I had bed bugs or something! I have super dry & sensitive skin too so my skin def reacted to the product
I’ve tried that sample a couple times (and currently using it) and I kinda like it ...my skin is very similar to yours....but....at first it worked amazingly and now I’m noticing it’s not working that great anymore i think it’s making my skin worse ...so I’m a little torn now, ...off topic, do you have any suggestions for chest breakouts??
Oh no! 😭 Try using Drunk Elephant’s T.L.C. Framboos on your chest. You can get a sample or buy the mini size from Sephora to try it. I have a video going live in a few weeks about how I used it to start clearing up my back.
queenshirin awesome! I had a mini version and LOVED it but didn’t think to use it on my chest, thanks! I’m actually thinking of investing in the full size ....can’t wait for that video!
this serum worked great for me for about a month, I had a short purging period and then it got quite good and very quicky after that the alcohol in the serum completely dehydrated my skin tot he point I just threw it out, was so disappointed
I've been using it for two months now. I have super oily skin. The serum (combined with mattifying fluid) helps with the shine throughout the day. It's actually one of the most effective mattyfying combinations I've tried so far. But I stopped putting it on my cheeks because - as you said - it can dehydrate skin a little, or a lot if you have sensitive skin. I'm still on the lookout for some really good mattifying foundation and powder. I've tried a lot of them, but nothing worth recommending.
@@beatasocha2211 glad to hear it worked out better for you! The one thing I found helped with reducing the oiliness was hydration, the SOS serum from Caudalie or the Bhydra from drunk elephant... but it didn't give me super mat face. I don't mind it actually, if the little shine I have goes away my skin tends to look a bit dull :/
I’m wondering if the toner might be better! Probably wouldn’t sit on the skin as much. I have somewhat sensitive skin but it gets ridiculously oily in summer so I was looking at this line 🤔 when it comes to sensitive skin I find it’s stuff that sits on top of the skin like serums and moisturizers are what I have to watch out for, because my skin starts throwing a fit if something heavy or something it doesn’t like sits on it for more than an hour or so lol. Looks like the toner from this line mostly evaporates off quickly, so I’m thinking it might be a better option if you’re on the sensitive side.
anytime you use something new always do a test patch on the inner corner of your forearm. I think you purchased the wrong serum. Your skin isn't that bad and if your sensitive it might not be for you this one try the one I mentioned from the range. Sorry you experienced this but I'm happy to know that this product didn't perform please take your bottle back you get a refund or exchange take a photo of what hapoend to you get more advise on the product hope this helps you. take care
Start drinking honey n warm water on empty stomack each morning. Use cream E45 daily as a toner cleanser ans cream. Use E45 cream for all this stuff. I hv had the die hard acne withu serve allergies and eruptions after using E45 it was a game changer. After my skin improved i used origins produts and lots of masks did this for 6 to 8 months after this i used Sicily produts they were too expensive but used it for 3 months the lastly i used la parairi just the makeup powder and the cavier cream and eye cream. Please stop using makeup in this process also drink water each time you use the products. Its so irritating when skin is disruted and painful. You will see huge difference give it a try 1 last thing dont use exfoliators leave that for when your skin heals. I do also recommends gycolic acid toner from the ordinary 1 a day in the night only. Take care and retun the caudali its too strong ingrediants for your yong skin. Tc x
Great question! Yes, you should wash your face beforehand. Make sure the area where you’re applying the patch is completely dry before application so the patch will stick better.
I have that same allergy with Caudalie vinoperfec essence, serum and créeme and I do not know what to use to calm it, itches me itches and my skin is red and very dry
Oh no!! 😭 Try dialing your skincare back to basics and using a moisturizer to nourish your skin - no acids for a while until your moisture barrier is healed.
Im shocked your layering skincare products because you shouldn't. You should always cleanse first. Don't touch your face EVER other than to apply product and always wash your hands first. Patchology skincare seems to be the problem because your allergic too it. Always try your skincare behind your ear or on your inner wrist first if you break out you know why. You should try Alpha liquid gold to clear your break outs. STOP USING ALL PRODUCTS FOR A WEEK. Make sure you cleanse properly especially around the chin and neck.
I... literally mentioned in the video how I cleansed my face first lol I’ve been using Patchology for over a year and am not allergic to it. Drunk Elephant has been doing a fab job at clearing up my skin, so I’ll stick to what works for me. Thanks for the tips! Btw, I dunno where you heard you shouldn’t layer skincare products, but it is totally ok and normal as long as you’re doing it in the right order.
I wonder why thus happened to your skim. Buy Firstly caudalie doesn't never give a reaction I'm so sure what has happened you have been applying other products on your skin so maybe it's interacted with the serum, this serum is for blemishes Caudalie Vinopure Blemish Control Face Serum, I'm assuming this products makes your face worse before it gets better what's happened is that your spots have come to the surface I think go and talk to the person you brought it from, stop using till u have spoken to the assistant, it's either you need to keep using it, or this product has rose water which has reacted to your skin very potent product. and don't mix other brands with this serum. Why don't you try the complexion correcting serum that is also for acne. I feel this green bottle is too strong for you, I saw this and wondered why it was green, be careful there is too types spelling complexion correcting and complexion enhancing you need the correcting serum I had issue with this as it was an old serum so be sure it's complexion correcting will be much better for you. but don't use other products with this serum you from thr range or keep a day off if you Wana use other products with the serums. Hope your skin gets better and you have good results you will be okay. Thank you for sharing this was great review and very useful to know Thank you so much
