What’s going on everyone? In this video I am discussing exactly how I started a business Pinterest account, used my Amazon associates account, and began creating possibly profitable Pinterest pins! This was a highly requested video and I did my best to get started with it. This side hustle video will definitely be the first video and I will have to provide updates (watch the video to see why), but mainly because this is a side hustle that requires TIME. 🤞🏼 The video I followed suggested uploading 15-30 pins per day in order to get views on your pins and affiliate conversions. 💲
I’ve also learned that you may even need one additional step which includes YOUR OWN WEBSITE!!! Because the direct product linking may get my account banned again. We will see, and stay tuned.
📌UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER 5, 2023: It seems that pinterest has disabled and updated the feature of tagging products onto pins. I have had many comments regarding this and i myself have experienced this. This has caused me to put a hault to uploading pins for the time being. The other option for this is to have an outside landing page in which you create a webpage or blog. Will have a vidoe this month about moving forward. No money has been made. 📌

I’ve noticed in many of these types of videos you mentioned, the youtuber rarely specifies how long it took to go from $0 to $10k etc. or being truly transparent about the amount of research and resources needed to succeed on Pinterest. Most often, they’ll tend to give you just enough info to catch your interest but not enough to reach the level of success they’ve achieved.

I am so so so glad that you are the FIRST person who said that one quality pin takes nearly 30 minutes as opposed to claims of making 100 pins in just 5 minutes!!!!! Thank you so much for the slow & precise instructions. I have noticed, and I have watched tons of these videos, that while many have really good info, they don't go through it in clear & concise ways where we can take it in and process it. It can be so overwhelming. It's actually a very simple process but can be too much when they're talking fast, rushing through and there is alot of other "fluff" added in for special affect, or they aren't clear enough with each step. This is just enough to process and take in. Thank you! I have been wanting to try this method but found that I keep watching the same videos over and over trying to take it in and just get anxious and then give up. I hope you will continue to share this and your experience with it, because this is good for all of us!

One thing I realized it is a lot longer than most of these videos say it is not an over night success! No matter what it is affiliate marketing, network marketing, social media etc. You get the ball rolling and then it causes a snowball effect. Thanks Kimberly

I like how you explain the stems without wasting time yet are clear. Something I must have missed was whether or not Amazon wants you to have a presence on Pinterest or if they gave you an affiliate account with a new page? In the old days with websites you had to have a website with several articles/ posts. Thanks for trying all this stuff out, I rely on your judgement.

Hi there! I know Amazon associates does not require or look that you have a website or online following. They have a pretty good chance of approving you. I applied for the Amazon associates about 8 months ago when I started this RU-vid channel and had no issue getting approved. I didn’t have any followers or subscribers!

@@FinanciallyPowerfulThat was a great question. I I would like to add on to that advice. I recently separated well not recently it's been over a year now but my lawyer advised me to either delete all my social accounts and if I couldn't bear to do that then at least make them all private or secure them down so that nobody could be following me at all. So I did that. But then about 3 months later Amazon told me that they have suspended my associates account because I privatized all my social media. It kind of doesn't make sense to have an affiliate system if you don't share your social profiles with anybody right? They did invite me to apply again if I choose to make my profiles public again which I plan to do fully after my divorce is final

I agree! Gia is the most realistic and authentic I’ve found as well. Also, she mentioned Pinterest Trends in one of her videos on how to find what’s trending amongst other ways.. Although you watched only one of her videos as point of reference, for a full idea of how to go about it. Especially to be less time consuming ( automating posts) it would probably be helpful to watch all of her videos in the affiliate marketing playlist. For instance, using a website like click bank instead of Amazon affiliated marketing could be more ideal since the affiliates on clickbank provide content to post and promote, such as photos. I have watched all her affiliate videos in the playlist. And rewatching currently to take notes. Going to be starting the foundation soon! Nevertheless, I am very excited to see where this goes for you!, great content and series as well! ❤️

Hi, I am so glad I found you on RU-vid. You are a breath of fresh air. You have given more info than those affiliate marketers who are trying to sell their courses or have me join their programs. I recently had my Amazon Associate account closed as I didn't make any commission from the almost 600 pins I had posted since end of September 2023. The videos I saw many months ago said to take pics right from Amazon and post as is, and I was told to place my link in the area you said not to. When you create this pin, you can add several items to one pin..with that being said, I will need to paste a link in the area you showed us for each amazon item I place on the pin correct? I look so forward to hearing from you.

I've started that about a month ago, doing research on my own just like you, I post daily and not only use Amazon Associates and yes it requires a lot of work and research I took me months to get started because it was completely lost, it takes me about two to three hours daily to work on that but once you get the hang of it it's easy. Also I just discovered I've been adding the links wrong lol! But so far my interest hasn't been banned or anything. I actually use two accounts with different niches and I luckily is still in the same time frame. Thank you so much for your info thanks to this video I noticed what i'm doing wrong, I'm actually liking to do it, it was quite hard to start mostly the research for my part because I was so lost and didn't understand anything but then it was easy besides, i'm proud of how my Pinterest accounts look LOL! Even if so far I haven't earned commissions yet journey is satisfying when you know you already have the rhythm, so to speak.

Great video and very sincere on your part. Most content creators tell you they are going to make thousands of dollars a week and tell you to steal videos and photos from other creators, that's when you realize you would be quickly banned from the platform. The only thing you didn't point out is how to affiliate with Amazon if we don't have a website, since they require it. You are the best thing I've seen on RU-vid talking about these topics.

I appreciate you taking the time to make this video, it was super clear and easy to understand. I’m new to affiliate marketing on Pinterest as well, and I followed Gia’s video also when I started - but I’m *very* nervous about getting accidentally banned. To your knowledge, as long as you don’t put the affiliate link in the destination link box - did that solve the issue with account banning?

Yes to the best of my knowledge that was the problem. Additionally I believe it is best to not bombard Pinterest with 30 pins a day, but to begin slowly and do maybe 2-4 a day.

It's my first time watching your videos and while i enjoyed it, i do want to advise that you should lower the volume of the sounds effects because the difference between your voice and the sound effects are not that similar(?) so it can be a bit startling especially if someone's wearing headphones 😌

Hi, Kimberly Thanks for sharing this info. In your experience with Pinterest , at the time you create your pin and publish it do you create a (Paid Create a Pin for ad) or an Organic Pin? I know the paid ones are for the ones that have a monthly membership but that is really affecting you to do it anyway or just Pinterest at some point decides to not give you space to show your pin even though your pin is still there on your board?

So i just got my account on pinterest baned as well, and this video answered why it got banned. Or at least 1 of the 2 reasons that could have caused my account to be banned thanks for the helpful info.

Hey good work again, at 6:09 minutes u saying ur account got banned, I think it is because uploading so much of Pins to a fresh account, start with 1 - 3 pins per day and eventually u can upload more, I got 3 of my accounts suspended and now running multiple accounts and getting some impression and outbound clicks too, so far no sale

Thank you for sharing this here, I thought the same thing but I wasn’t sure because Pinterest doesn’t provide an exact reason on why they banned the account. I have been doing just a couple per day seems to be doing fine so far!

Your video is very helpful, Thank you! it's true that it is time consuming while you get used to the platform and how things work. I opened my account about 4 days ago. When I'm going to create a Pin my screen is different, it includes the Board and also a Tagged topics which i still don't know what it is for, allow comments and show similar products as options.. . I have seen that it has got impressions but not to much engagements or saves but i think they are getting somehow seen. need to edit my profile too :) and learning in the go with videos like this 🙂

I had a video meeting with Pinterest Ad Manager last week. At that time, I asked if I should put a link to the affiliate market right away, which I'm usually curious about, or put it on my site, and then put a link from my site to the affiliate market site, and the way to send it to my site first and go to the affiliate market from there avoids the suspension of the count. Looking at your video, I think it's the opposite opinion so I am very confused.
