Hi Kimberly! Hi everyone. I tried the same strategy months ago but, in my case, I was promoting software not books, but it's almost the same. IT WORKS!! The fact is that with Medium you can't just publish one article to get traction, you need several of them to get an audience. (i.e. in the same category) hence you end up with a chain reaction. In your case, publish like five book summaries in finance. I hope this helps.

Medium is algorithm based, the more you post, the more traffic you get. And with posting links, they move you to the nose bleeds. As yes you could potentially earn views and possibly earn money, odds aren't in the upper levels. And with Medium, you have to promote your own stories (until you gain a following or pay for an upper version).

Totally agree. So many 'online gurus' mention using Medium, but the truth is unless you have a decent, engaged following ,niche based who are literally dying for your latest post and trust your 'influence' to buy off the back of it, you will not make any money. It's the same with Quora, Vocal and Gumroad. You have to be consistent with a capital C to have any chance of making money.

I think your right, you probably have to p post more t than one. There are a ton of writers on medium, some awesome, some not so awesome. The awesome ones are the posts or articles that give such detail you don’t walk away scratching your head saying what the hell was that crap. i have published some articles in Medium and they have amazon affiliate links. so far no real money from them. ultimately this boils down to how good your article is with SEO and what kind of a demand is there for the book. to me its hilarious when someone says you can earn money in this way every 30 seconds. that is just a click bait for the video IMO.

Topics like this won't work for Medium. You have to post regularly and create a following with unique topics and I don't think AI articles will help you in any way, you'll have to write by yourself as it is a platform for writers and readers all around the world.

Maybe wrong book choice cos it's been out for years and I know heaps of people who have it, or have read it. Personally I'd look for a newer unknown book to peak people's interest. Just my thoughts.

Not for nothing but these posts by Dave Nick or whatever his name is are really a Word Sandwich to the novice looking for clear explanations. I understand economy with words but seriously "slow down dude". I also just started following you Kimberly as you seem quite open and honest. Back in the day , early 90s, I had an adult link site getting around 80k hits a day and most of that traffic would come from trading links with similar sites. That business model is dead just like search engines , other than Google. So my question is whatever affiliate program you go with you need traffic to the tune of 100 views, to 10 sponsor visits, to 1 sale. That is a lot of traffic from a starting point. What's the plan?

I have just come across your channel today and in over 20 years I have never seen someone just go show attempts if sites work. I was going to do something similar, but I am too lazy sometimes or too overloaded sometimes. With respect to Medium, I have been there for a while and money can be made there, but you have to be strategic. The most I made was $100 per month, but if you write and read everyday, you can gain a following and your links will work. You can get it to $1000 per month or more, but you have to stick with it and most cancel because it is a lot of writing and reading and a little bit a luck. For it to work, you do need the paid version. With all that said, your videos are awesome and you should have a lot more followers.

Seems like an awful lot of work just to take a chance that maybe someone will click your link as opposed to the thousand other links that other people have already made...Myself, I prefer old school...simple labor...people are so lazy these days..I make about $300 a day for 4 hours of simple tedious tasks people are too lazy to do..cleaning, landscaping, simple repairs..I miss the old world...the one were people actually worked...What is the world going to do when the last generation of people who actually work dies off? Yes you’re absolutely right!!! I uploaded a video of the things I have done on the side to produce an income and have actually worked and they are majority labor related things. The purpose of this series is to try these things to see if they work, but majority don’t… most of the time I can tell they won’t work because many don’t even make sense. There are still a ton of people who enjoy labor, although not as many as use to that is for sure ! Haha
