Here is an Fl tip that all Fl studio gang use: make the entire beat in one pattern, when u done, right click on the pattern, scroll down and select split by channels. Then all instrumentals will be put in each separate patterns.

@marliixcape * no, keep as midi, you can do everything you can to a wav to a midi if you know what you’re doing + this way you have access to the raw midi and VST parameters. + if your cpu is struggling with beats then you need an upgrade lmao

Tip for FL: when you go to arrange, if you right click a pattern in the list on the left, you can split by channel. this makes separate patterns for each sound/instrument/sample you used so you can arrange easily and not have to do make unique and turn things off etc!

I'd disagree with the 2nd Sentence. Of course, every DAW can be capable of doing somewhat similar things, but each DAW has their own strengths and weaknesses. If one could be using another DAW (x) which suits one's needs then they would be wasting time on another DAW (y) which gives sub-par features in a field that is just better in the other DAW (x). Eg. I switched from S1 to Bitwig because Sound Design is such an important part of my music, and BW helps to make things work faster for me.. Ofc I could probably design some sounds in S1 but some patches would take 6-7 times the amount of work and time that I would invest in making the same patch in BW. Some patches I just wouldn't be able to make, because S1 doesn't have the features to do so. Conclusion: It really does matter what DAW you use, and exploration is vital to be able to be a better producer.

Mate, I've been on ABleton and FL, and there's something about Ableton that makes its sound way more immersive than FL studio. I know that there's loades of peeps who've been saying all daws sound the same but it's just not true. I use the same plugins and vsts, and ableton sounds fuller. SO yeh, your sound will change in Ableton.
@yajrobot
@yajrobot 11 месяцев назад
@@hjkhhjkh3635 Next time you gonna use FL, don't forget to turn off your limiter on master. There is a fair amount of distortion when using automation in Ableton compared to clean automations in FL according to one research I found recently, but tbh I still don't think you get fuller sound because of it. You probably don't make music using VST's only so Ableton's audio processing might be just better, you have Glue Compressor, EQ has it's quite pleasant algorithms, also keep in mind how audio warping is different - that would be the biggest detail I identify when production is made in Ableton.

I was a logic user but after getting a writers block, decided to use Ableton for fun. Have to say, ableton’s work flow is cleannn and way easier to automate tracks compared to logic. You really get to be creative with this one. Big down side is if you’re a person like me who doesn’t have a collection of vsts, it’s gonna suck a lil. Never realised how good logic’s stock sounds were. Still, because of the work flow, I’m team Ableton! I still do miss logic’s sounds hehehe. Any workarounds to bounce logic sounds? XD

Moreover, 99 % of all the type beats tutorials, cookups, etc. are shown with FL Studio, so you can learn all the tricks and perfectly rebuild the beats.

I use all of them don’t get used to one. I even grab sounds from one software and move the stems round the other software to keep working and mix sometimes get creative have fun. They all are great for certain things. I’ll end up recording my vocals in Logic Pro x or cubase or pro tools doesn’t matter I know how to work them all. Whatever I’m feeling I jump on :)

I did this last year and I came to the conclusion that Studio One is the best for my workflow. I need a DAW that I can do everything inside of it without needing to go to another. Studio One gives me everything and more. Also the time It takes me to get things done inside Studio One is very quick compared to Other DAWS.

@jrnerdmann2098
@jrnerdmann2098 2 года назад
@@enjohVEVO well I’d say that Studio One is very intuitive. Lots of drag and drop. Ableton works kind of like NI Maschine. I guess that’s where NI got it from. And although I start the majority of projects in Maschine, I do the details and mixing in SO. Generally FL and SO are very similar. And I almost stuck with it. But I just prefer the look and feel of Presonus. Since I own a Mac and Win computer Logic was not an option. I did play around with Garage Band though and I’d probably like Logic too.

Hi. I like every video showcasing different DAWS. A few years ago I chose Sony Acid music studio, Magix Music Maker2014, Reason, LMMS. These DAWS have everything that I needed to produce music. I wanted something very simple to use, and very dependable. I was going to learn how to produce music in any way possible. I tried sonic too, but it was too complicated. So I stuck with what worked for me.

I use Ableton because of its UI/UX. The midi editor is very keyboard friendly, you can do all sort of note editing and creating with just the computer keyboard and with minimal usage of the mouse. I find that this helps me execute faster and hence stay in flow. Same is true for the arrangement view’s midi and audio region editing.

I own too many DAWs already; FL, Studio One, Reaper, Pro Tools, and Abelton. I'm done with PT after the subscription only b.s. Love/Hate with FL since some 3rd party plugins do it in, been working mostly in Studio One recently and it has some issues (lots of crashes on Windows). Maybe it's time to move over to the dark side Mac + Logic...

I had FL Studio (Fruity Loops), then played with Reason 5, moved to Pro Tools 8LE....went and bought Reason 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and now I have Ableton 11. Pro Tools gives you a bigger sound but used to freeze too much and using midi was arghhh...😖 Reason is great for using midi and vocals...easy mixing and arranging but sounds thin...doesn't kick as hard and deep(naturally) as PT, Abtn and FL. Ableton has an excellent sound, deep and rich, not as deep as Pro Tools. Easy arrangement and mixing. (My favourite!) FL Studio is excellent with creating ideas 💡 as well....good with midi, lifetime free updates but when I used it back in the day....not so good with recording vocals.

I have an identical path as you (FL, Reason 2-11, PT 5.3-12) Then finally moved to Abelton a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. I think that once I really focused on how to use AL it felt like I was playing everytime I opened it up..then found out how to do everything all those other daws do, faster in AL.

tip for ableton: theres a thing in the drums category called a drum rack where you put your drum samples into it, insert a midi clip and then put in your drums like a midi
@George-nx8zu
@George-nx8zu 2 года назад
I wouldn't recommend this for making Drill & Trap music, especially when producers want to be able to use different notes for Hi Hat rolls for example or different notes for snare hits. In a drum rack you can't have a drum sample really go to different pitches. Its better to separate everything into separate channels otherwise you get pretty limited making drill music.
@OpenMeezy
@OpenMeezy Год назад
@George-nx8zu you can do all of that in the editor. Plenty of people are using Ableton for those genres.
