FYI the product clips for the last two products are swapped! (e.g. the balm is being swatched when I’m talking about the gloss) sorry I didn’t catch that when watching the edits! 💗
The contour wand is incredible! It’s very long lasting, so if it isn’t staying on your face, it may be due to your skins oil production or skin prep. It’s not meant to be a bronzer, so trying to apply it like a bronzer probably will look muddy. It’s intended to use it to contour and create shadow, then you add a bronzer as you feel the need to to warm up the look. That’s also why multiple shades for the contour aren’t really needed
Appreciate you doing this! This brand always gave me the “it girl” makeup vibes but never knew what I wanted to spend my money on. Really interested in the bronzers and powder blush now!
From CT I love their lipsticks, they have such a lovely formula. The UV primer is one thing I want to try as there aren't many primers with SPF, especially SPF 50. I'm not a fan of any of the blushes and don't use bronzers, although her shimmery eye shadows are gorgeous. I do prefer Natasha Denona and ABH for high end shadows though
Eternally grateful for this video cos lord knows I have to really have a talk with myself before I can even bring myself to buy ONE of her products 😭 thank you so much for making such an informative and helpful video x
I swear by the Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift for under the eyes! I’ve used it for 2 years now and nothing else compares. It’s super lightweight, doesn’t crease after setting, provides coverage, and brightens the under eyes. It’s expensive, but it goes on sale often so I buy a couple when it does.
i recently tried the fenty bright fix corrector in rose quartz as an alternative to concealer. i’m very fair and have intense blueness under my eye and it definitely helps cover that while not being heavy or cakey. i really recommend it!
I just bought Milani Super Charged Brightening Undereye Tint in pink rose (there is also a peach color). I am 69 and have very impressive dark circles, and I like this! Acts a little like an undereye primer. Definitely worth trying! And, of course, Milani is very affordable.
I've seen several comments mention this Milani product so I want to try it. My dark circles are genetic, I've always had them and I'm honestly at a point that I think I've embraced them as much as possible! It's So hard to find makeup that will actually counter the deep bluish purple under my eyes and not end up looking cakey or drying or irritating my eyes. It doesn't help that I'm not a full coverage makeup lover but I do like trying stuff in hope that one day I'll find something that works. I turned 40 this year so my expectations are getting higher while my dark circles just don't care! Lol I do like Cover FX power play concealer though I have to use a tiny amount with a very small brush then a good setting spray. I used to love the bare Minerals well rested eye brightening concealer to set and brighten and might repurchase that but I think countering the deep bruised look with color correction makes a big difference.
Ahhh the *one* product I’ve been the most curious about seeing you review is the Magic Cream, and it wasn’t on here 😩 I thought for sure when you said 23 products that would be the first one shown. Darn it
Abbey, thanks for this review 🙌 I have Hollywood Flawless foundation. At first it looks beautiful on the skin, but then it becomes oily. And this despite the fact that I have normal skin. Yes, many products are not bad, but there is a worthy and more budget-friendly alternative.
Oooh, good timing Abbey. I’ve been wanting to dabble in some high end products and Charlotte Tilbury is one of the first brands that comes to mind for me. Thanks for you review and insight xoxo
I succumbed to a few of her products. I do like them. The thing I loved especially was the powder. It really was phenomenal but I’m not in a position to be able to spend $$ on makeup right now. I absolutely hated the foundation. It was like paint. It even cracked like paint. I love the subtle color and beautiful finish of her lipsticks.
Absolutely love your videos, the quality and care that go into them just make them so enjoyable! I was wondering as a video suggestion if you could go through your favourite make up brushes! I always find myself spending money on make up and using the same brushes for like 5-6 years (obviously washing them regularly) but definitely wanting to buy some new ones but there are just so many out there!! xx
Thank you for the summary of these products. I consider to buy the cheek to chic. I love how you quickly gave all the essential info about every product without wasting time.
O my goshhhhh so impressed by your work and the time you spent on this. Wow! And you really helped me with some products I was not sure of buying, so thanks so much! I love love love your channel ❤️
Thank you so much for doing this video!! I have the same problem with the lipstick. They always look different on me than in pictures or the models! Glad to know I'm not alone.
Hi abbey , wow Thankyou so much for testing all theses products . You’ve made it much easier and so much clearer on purchasing the items . Xxx loved 🥰 it .
Hi Abbey! If you do another self tanner video would you include fake bake? I used to buy it on Amazon but haven't in years. I would love your opinion how it compares to your favorites!
I'm so glad you said something about the Airbrush Setting Powder settling into lines under your eyes. I thought I was the only one or that I was doing something wrong. 😅
I love Charlotte Tilbury, I think as ots a UK brand it's a tiny bit cheaper here. I love dancefloor princess. And my fave foundation is the light wonder. Mixed with the wonder glow primer before applying is gorgeous 😍
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Concealer, my ride or die for the under eyes. My 44 year old skin loves it, covers my dark circles and does not crease.
Great video Abbey! I’m a bit obsessed with CT lipsticks but haven’t tried much else from the brand. I might check out the highlighter based on your review.😊
The Quad eyeshadow palette, lipsticks (the colours are too pretty that confuses me 🤣), Hollywood Filter, Film Star bronze and glow, goddess clay mask are all worth to try in my opinion (they works!) though they do break your bank 🤣
Thank you for doing this video! I have a cart full of CT that I am trying to narrow down and this helped. So far I have only tried the Flawless Filter and I love it! I definitely don’t like the price point but I’m 35 so not every cheap brand is going to look fine on me. Also I don’t wear makeup every day so it will last a while.
this is such a good video, i got the beautiful skin foundation after liking a sample i got but i have been hesistant to get more products cause i am mostly a drugstore girlie. i think you left out the skincare but one thing i thought was super overrated after trying it was the magic cream, i just thought the fragrance was way too strong for me and it didn’t feel special. i am looking foward to getting more base products tho, if flawless filter wasnt sold out in my color all the time id like to get it, and maybe the bronzers or blushes! :)
So glad I came across your video. Great format and lots of information. I am going to purchase the Happy Kiss Balm. For me, CT is a mixed bag. I'm not a fan of their foundations. I much prefer Pat McGrath or Nars. CT foundations are a bit too thick for my liking and kind of greasy. I really like their powder products - flawless powder and bronzer and powder blushes. I don't like their cream blush - way too sticky. I like their lipsticks a lot, but at their price point, there a lot of equally good options and it just depends on finding the right color. I like the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks, MAC lipsticks (that are far less expensive, and Tom Ford lipsticks that have a great color selection as well as the Natasha Denona lipsticks. I really don't like their eyeshadow quads. The shimmers get hard pan although the matt colors work fine. I'd much rather buy the Christian Dior 5-color palettes which have a far better formula at a similar price point.
Enjoyed your video and opinions. The wonderglow foundation is awesome on my mature but youthful looking skin. Doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles. Thanks so much.
I have Lot from Charlotte. 2 foundations highlighters lipsticks collagen bath setting spray magic cream tons of lipsticks. Didn't like the bronzer and a fair amount of eye products. Great video
Which bronzer would you say is your most favorite out of those 3? (Not including the contour wand obvi) also I love very victoria a lot more than pillow talk! Such a perfect shade
Filmstar bronze and glow was the first thing i saved up for. Every cekeb used it. The packaging was mind blowing at the time. And then i didnt even like it the bronzer is so purple. Got it for good deal tho £35 if I remember right
Hand model with those long, slim fingers. Never noticed that before. Lol. Thank you for the review. Unless you have perfect , translucent skin, that doesn’t lean oily, dewy is not so great!
Giiirl, while watching this i realized i don‘t even care about Charlotte, i just like you and your voice. 😅😅😂😂🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️💖💖 But i do love your skincare videos. ☝️❣️
As soon as she said the setting POWDER isn’t good I immediately got off. She’s just hating every single product tbh. That powder is the best out there.
FIRST. Darling use her toner on pads at night and in pressure in the morning always right before your creams and you’ll stop having these textures/grease skin problems! I am a certified esthetician and certified makeup artist BY charlotte tilbury and girl I can say, for all the education she puts OUT there, you did not get it right!!! You did not know there’s an on and off switch on your wand? You would’ve never loose this much product if you knew.. I also did support in some sephoras and really what I always say to my clients is to look at their skincare AND makeup routine as an ingredients list to get that perfect long lasting complexion. This is luxury makeup infused with a great amount of skincare so using a sponge really gets all the good out of the formula. And above all ingredients in MY skincare-makeup routine I never run out of toner for all the problems we are trying to solve with makeup in that video. Also, the corrector works better with a little bit of concealer on top set with powder. Clearly the airbrush shade isn’t right, what’s important when getting the right shade with this cooling technology foundation is to blend it and let it sit for 3 minutes for it to get its natural pigment out but yes at first they all SEEM the same. The fact that the products that contains the highest hyaluronic acid are a flop for you tells me theres no cells of it in your derm (thickest layer of your skin and where the hydration needs to go, also why you seem greasy, because your derm does not get enough hydratation so he sends sebum up to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day)! This explains why you say some cream or liquid products does not last as long or as pretty as firsthand. Using her setting spray 2 more times maximum during the day can also help but wont TREAT your derm. Other than that HONEY 40% vegan collagen is worth your money even more if the lip&cheek glow tint that you have is the prettiest. And YES the powder blush has an highlighter in the middle AND for all powder products of CT you can recharge it ordering your refills on her website so you don’t spend that much each time.
Hi Abbey, I think you maybe have purchased the wrong shade of the magic vanish, I purchased the fair shade also and I’m thinking I should have purchased the medium, that way I only would have to use a little bit but it would pack a stronger punch on correcting the darkness
I have been binging your old videos that i have missed, so i doubt youll see this but i would love to see you compare and try to find the best undereye correctors. Ive been on the hunt and there are definitely more bad than good, so i really think that would be a cool video! ❤
Hi Abbey, this is a different subject than this video. Since K18 hair mask said conditioner can be used after the 4 minutes and rinsed out, why don't they disclose this to the public/ advertise it? It seems we don't know what may be true. Are they saying this so it doesn't stop people from buying it? It's an expensive product to purchase if we're not getting the benefits of it/ the full benefits of it if we do condition afterwards and rinse it out (not a leave in conditioner). Would you tell us your thoughts? Thank you for all your hard work so we can have beautiful skin and hair.
Enjoyed the video, lots of products and information at a great pace! With a few exceptions, almost everything I’ve tried I found overpriced and/or underwhelming.
May i just say...your skin! Incredible. I dont think my skin has looked like the since i was 10. Whatever you're doing, it is working. Love your videos. Keep up the good work. You were made to do this. I appreciate all you do ❤️
The powder is horrible on my skin 😩 under the eyes it's even worse!! it's removing my concealer and it creases so much :( I've tried many things to make it look good because of the price... but it's a NO! Next time, I'll know that I'm never buying a full size expensive product again- 😭
