I Tried Experiencing Sleep Paralysis 

Saw you in my sleep paralysis last night btw (ps. thanks for taking my word on sleep paralysis lol)

You know shit's good when: 1. A youtuber with a small sub count 2. An original idea that answers a question from childhood 3. quality is like it was made by a big youtuber 4. it makes you forget about time dude, you deserve like a million subs!

I only had 1 but it was extremely weird. I was watching yt on my phone then i fell asleep. I woke up and had a sleep paralysis. I could still hear the video playing in the background but i heard whispering and i was facing the wall and i felt someone stroking my hair and i saw a shadow at the bottom of my bed it was like something but with a hump on its back. My whole body was shaking, i couldnt move or speak. I could only just cry, thats what i did until i fully woke up.

Sleep Paralysis is just so terrifying, especially the ones where you are in an uncomfortable position and the ones when you can't really breathe and then suddenly you can't move and you start having trouble breathing and you are in an uncomfortable position. Gosh that is just so terrifying

as a 13yo who is schizophrenic and has had sleep paralysis i can prove that this is not what it looks like, my “sleep paralysis demon” was black, floating at the end of my bed, looked to be 6 foot 4 inches judging by the legs, kinda crouched almost like a frog, had a droopy glowing white smile and eyes, this lasted abt 10 mins for me and i actually woke up probably an hour or smth later

I've experienced sleep paralysis around 7 times, and it's terrifying. The 2nd time I've ever had sleep paralysis was when I thought it was my 1st. I woke up to the sound of breathing at the end of my bed, and saw Samira from the Ring at the end. I tried not to blink but every time I did she would get closer and closer until I shut my eyes. I thought of the words "Monsters aren't real, monsters aren't real, monsters aren't real" and I woke up. The last time I had sleep paralysis was, strangely, in the morning. I woke up to a woman saying goodnight to me as I was facing the other way. Then, her head went a full 180 degrees and started tickling me. But no, I wasn't getting tickled, it felt like waves of anxiety was washing over me as I would scream as loud as I could. I then woke up and started balling my eyes out.

I've only had sleep paralysis once when I was 9 or 10 and I still remember it years later. I actually saw the hatman but he was standing outside my bedroom door staring at me and then 2 minutes later I found the courage get up and turn the light on. Scary stuff dude, especially as a child.

One time when i was 14, i woke up and the hat man was kneeling beside my bed. He place his hands on the side of my bed and slowly moved them towards my face. It felt like i was frozen with fear, i didnt even try to move. Until he was about 6 inches away from my face i jumped out of bed and started yelling. At the time i didnt know what it was and forgot about it in a few months until i saw this video pop up and you talked about the hat man. Sleep paralasis is a crazy thing. Great video

I had a sleep paralysis when I was 11 and it was the most terrifying thing of my life. You feel a large and heavy weight pushing on your chest and keeping you down. All you can watch is the monster coming for you and you can’t do anything about. I wish it upon no one especially at a young age.

I’ve had a few sleep paralysis experiences , they’ve all had the same “ person “ or “ entity ” . She had some sort of green or dark blue hat , and pitch black eyes . The first time this happened I can remember I woke up and couldn’t move , I noticed some sort of hallway where my books and desk were , the room was green , and that lady appeared , slowly moving out of the shadow in the hallway , she stranded there for a while , looking at me , younger me must have been terrified . My most recent experience had that same woman , it was a scary , I kept trying to to move , as she just standed there . But this time , I heard some sort of noises before I got to that state , it was the sound that dogs make when they breathe out , I thought it was my dog , but I remembered that she was downstairs . I just stayed there wondering what had made that sound , but then , it happened .

as a 13 yr old child who innocently plays roblox and experiences sleep paralysis it is really something you want to avoid because its straight terrifying and i tend to not be able to breathe properly and shake for ten to 30 mins and its just honestly horrifying. Not including the sounds i continually hear over and over it is just so scary. But i do appreciate watching someone else’s experience so i can know others go through it too. I sleep paralysis and since I’ve been watching a lot of jjk I thought it was a curse spirit, and I punched my own lamp

Sorry if there are some language issues, im not the best english speaker but here is my experience about sleep paralysis: I experienced sleep paralysis almost every night. Sometimes just multiple times at a night. I had a depression and was really burned out. I saw, heard and even felt monsters. For example a long fingered cold hand on my back. (I was laying on my side) One day I just started closing my eyes and ignored them, because I wasnt even scared anymore. I was just bored after severel nights the same thing. But then I just started experiencing the monsters setting me in pain. real pain... I was so shocked after that, because I didnt know that you can experience pain in a sleep paralysis. at the beginning it were just scratches on my skin, but after time they tried harder. I often felt something just like ramming severel times a knife in to my back at the same position. Once I had a nightmare, where a big robot monster with a drill-hand was chasing me in my house. I knew it was a dream, so I just stopped running to end the dream and let it get me. But I slipped right into a sleep paralysis. I was laying on my side again and heard and felt it directly behind me. I closed my eyes to calm myself from the nightmare, but then I heard the drill and it was ramming into my side. I actually felt him drilling into my body from one side to the another threw my spine. It didnt do this to me in one second. It was like an eternity. He drilled really really slowly with his loud machine and the smell of oil threw my back. I even felt my spine breaking. There was so much pain I just wanted it to end. Then the drill stopped on the other side of my body and hoped that it is over. But he startet the whole process again just backwards leaving a big painful hole in me and it wasnt a small drill. After that I was able to move again and I was there left with a dizzy feeling in my stomache just processing what "happened" a second before. Nowadays im good and sleep paralysis are now really rare for me and when I have one they are really harmless. No pain, no noises and no sightings of creepy monsters.

Cody I get it all the time. For me, it goes with a fever. One time it was really weird; I saw some people walking into a void but I couldn’t move. Once I got out of it I had a really insane fever and puked. Had to go to the hospital because I was insanely dehydrated and fatigued/weak, so they did blood tests from my IV and I was fine. The second time I got it was in my house on the couch at January. Pretty sure it was the “hat man” because he was in the place of the Christmas tree, assuming it was a shadow. It always happens at 4 am tho and I heard waking up at that time it means someone’s watching you (I don’t believe in these myths unless they’re real 😳). I got a dream catcher and a Virgin Mary knitted thingy to hang up. Haven’t gotten it since! Oh, and I forgot I also got a small picture of Jesus and baby Jesus on my nightstand so we chilling

sleep paralysis happens when your body sleeps but your mind is still awake and working so you cant move your body since its asleep, but your mind starts to imagine things becuase its the only thing working, this is why the first method said relax your body (to make it sleep faster than your mind) and keep your mind active (to make sure its always awake during sleep). 5:33 this method actually worked for me, it was terrifying when i experienced sleep paralysis for the first time.

don't experience sleep paralysis. I personally got this from watching hypemyke/spooky videos to much, things you will most likely experience during sleep paralysis: 1. Hard to breath 2. you can't talk 3. you're sweating (this depends) 4. you can't move (you sometimes can, but mostly, no) 5. easily scared (idk about you, but my bed makes this creaking noise and sometimes by closet so that makes me want to cover myself with the blankets, but i can't because i can't move) 6. imagining you're not alone (this pretty much means you imagine there is a monster staring at you, inside the closet, or look directly at you at the end of the bed, the most common for me is probably the closet, but in most cases. you just can't move and you're in the dark) 7. figures (the most well known is the shadow figure, but this almost never happens during sleep paralysis)

My mom said when my brother was little, (hes like 21 now btw and I was probably still an infant) he would cry when he woke up from "dreams" and tell our mom he saw a shadowed figure with a hat, which I am guessing the hat man as you said in the vid. and my brother said the hat man told him our parents would die soon (which they are still alive and we are all happy and healthy) which makes me think he probably had sleep paralysis.
