I think Rihanna's tutorial was exactly what unskilled, makeup-loving youtube audience needed. it was simple to follow, no overdramatic and too sophisticated techniques and the final effect was stunning. She was so natural and funny, keeping it real and reminding that she has flaws like everyone else, so there's no need to feel intimidated. I really adore her and her video was amazing.

Her foundation is extremely covering without the primer, and stays in place but if you’re extremely oily I’d recommend using HER primer and using a good setting spray. The reason why I empathize using Fenty primer with Fenty foundation is that a lot of primers don’t tend to work with her foundation or won’t last as long especially if you have oily skin. I used my nyx primer with her foundation and by the end of the day I looked like melted wax 😭😭😭

Want I cannot stand is people criticizing brands who came out with tons of colors and saying “you’re just trying to be like fenty” when in reality it shouldn’t be an issue to cater to every skin tone! All brands should do this, and not all brands fit all so yes other brands should put out!

clementine a I think the bigger gripe that people have is that certain brands who have particularly never included more shade ranges are now suddenly deciding to do so because they see the PROFIT Rihanna has gained simply by making a brand that MORE people can wear. It's that these brands have had years to create more inclusivity and have either not cared enough or simply never wanted to create products for certain PEOPLE. I mean obviously it's great that more brands are taking this into consideration, but it's safe to say it's because of money and probably not to simply put out a great performing product that should've been this productive a long time ago

Serenity I know that some smaller brands might not have super wide foundation ranges because It can be scary for some people to dive into an area they might not have complete knowledge on, but people should be proud of smaller brands for becoming more inclusive instead of claiming they're copying her. It's very possible she's INSPIRING other brands to step out of their shell, but bigger brands don't have much reasoning behind taking so long to do this

It'd be dope if you retested things that you hated and loved. Except you wouldn't be able to see what it was (like take off labels, put foundations into different bottles or something like that) and then see how you feel about them again without any bias. Just think it would be a cool idea! xoxoxo

Fenty gave me the confidence to wear makeup without feeling foolish or like a clown. I always avoided it because I just didn’t think I could do it. I really like to do my face now! Her foundation looks like skin, and The Sinamon highlighter works wonderfully on my 450 skin. I’m so happy with her line, and so thankful to Rihanna for the tutorials.
