I always wondered whether fancy food was really worth the price tag - so I decided to buy some and try it. Never thought I’d drop £70 on a box of chocolates… could do with your support on this video haha
As a New Zealander, that was very cute hearing you try to pronounce Manuka. Manuka honey has medicinal properties. You can pronounce it easier by trying "ma-new-ka"
Manuka honey is special given it’s the manuka tree the bees pollinate from. Forget culinary use although it is nice it’s also a very very good healer. Used for burns, scars and minor wounds. So don’t waste it all. Also FYI you can get the EXACT same Manuka honey from Aldi or Lidl, when I say it’s the same it’s literally the same lol.
it will be.. claim it back via self assessment with hmrc.. sidemen do it all the time with their 100k vs 100£ videos shopping videos. ... makes for great content
“You are a moron” £45 on a chocolate bear….💀 This was so funny and true. Cheap chocolate seems expensive now. But this was great to watch. I love the idea of chocolate covered pistachio’s, but I’d rather just cover them in chocolate myself for that price.
It's a shame you didn't try Fortnum & Mason. I popped in there a few days ago and was genuinely shocked at the prices, all you pay for is the fancy packaging and the brand name. I walked back out and got me tea bags in Tescos.
You make me want to move to the UK and take on the responsibility of being your personal bodyguard so this channel can remain a going concern indefinitely.
First time my husband has watched one of your vids with me, he has just subscribed.. He works in London and was not having the meltdown I was at a £70 box of chocolate’s.. apparently it’s normal 🤦🏼♀️😂 He’s not allowed to do the shopping 😂 Great vid Ed 👏🏻
manuka honey isnt regular honey! it's a special type of honey that have great properties like being anti inflammatory. and while yes I get that its expensive, but there's a reason why it is that way.
Love your videos Ed…..and really hope this Chanel blows up and you get the recognition you deserve……because the more it does even better the videos ……class mate great humour as well
Hello from New Zealand thank you so much for your videos I really enjoy them 😊 oh that honey I'm not to keen on but it does have very good health benefits
Manuka honey is that price everywhere. Not just marks and Spencer’s. It’s so expensive because it’s only made in New Zealand and Australia. It also has healing properties
My New Year’s resolution is to not destroy self-check out machines. As a disabled person sometimes I need help. I know John Lewis costs more but the staff at Victoria Quarter always are happy to help me.The discount stores are not designed for physical disabilities. Thus my resolution.
£13 for 3 rolls it's raw fish means no money spent on cooking, no money spent on lights, like I said bait to catch the fish a rod a knife to gut and chop it with, rice roll and a fridge and packaging to put the tiny rolls in is You're only expense. £13 is a rip off
Many years ago worked in the Swiss Centre which supplied a few things to Harrods including Truffles. Believe it or not, they were all Handmade by a Swiss chocolatier and apprentice. They had the highest quality ingredients and tasted amazing. So sometimes you do need to pay for quality
These prices are insanely high. You could've at least got something you know you'd like lol. You could do a similar video where you try the cheapest foods around and give them a taste for us. Tescos and morrisons do loads of that type of stuff.
Laughing my head you have never had honey 😂😂 but equally how would you know stay your comparing it too!? Brilliant video! Made me laugh the entire way through! 😂❤
Greeting from outside the UK. Manuka honey has medicinal properties and has variations on that property. There is a reason why it is more costly. Can't speak for sausage rolls.
Hullo from New Zealand, gotta say I agree with you on the Manuka honey (pronounced Ma Noo Car), pretty icky stuff - and a bit of a rort if I remember rightly. You’re a smart man to do videos on expensive foods, I often see videos of the cheapest or worst foods going viral and I feel sorry for the creators because they’re kind of stuck in a rut of bad food then, to get the views 😂 Keep it up lad 👍👍👍
Tesco had some 90 quid honey when I was there a few months ago. To be fair, honey consumption has gone up and up and honey production has gone down and down, so the cheap syrup stuff you buy off the shelves is mostly sugar syrup. Notice how it doesn't go hard in the bottle/jar anymore? Because most of what's in it is not honey basically.
A Friday treat seeing you had uploaded Ed. A great video, clearly proving that expensive isn't always the best. Thanks for making us laugh, just being your lovely self Take care Ed x
Hi Ed, I've got a challenge for you. Buy a metal detector and head to your nearest beach and see how much money or jewellery you can find over whatever time period you set yourself. Then you have to survive for the next day on the proceeds of whatever you find.
really love your videos bro, thank you for making content, got really bad stress cramps rn and turned one of your videos on and cheered me right up. You should make a members thing to support
Worth every penny is Harrods Food Hall what an amazing place. Shop normally at Marks and Sparks or Waitrose. Only because Harrods is only in London. Which might be a blessing in reality.
Tbf that Manuka honey is normal price for manuka. Manuka honey it's expensive everywhere. Its more so because it has anti bacterial properties so it's good if you're ill or got a bad throat. Cheaper honey may sooth your throat but it doesn't help it in the same way.
I remember when i stayed in a hotel. Lovely place. But they had a swanky menu. All posh nosh. And a starter and main set me back about 70 ish quid. And the food was. Well. Food just small portions of a normal dinner. Just arranged nicely on the plate. But price really doesn’t always mean quality.
You’ve never been to Selfridges before??? It’s Harrods but more for us poor people to feel like we’re rich or treating ourselves. Harvey Nichols even more so, their food haul is good though for very niche stuff or gifts though just like Selfridges
Honey is regurgitated from the bees stomach. Never had it on toast, that's just like having sugar on toast 😂 add it to cereals or yoghurts or anything else that you use sugar with
Next time you are in Harrods, go to every food stall and ask for a tasting sample, you will soon have your £70 back, we usually go round twice, they love handing out the freebies....
