I've been using this brand and style mouse for well over a decade. It works perfectly. The track ball is in the perfect location for your thumb with hand in a comfortable position. On the occasion that I have to use a standard mouse, it seems like 3 steps backward. It is time to clean the scroll wheel, but this particular mouse is 6 years old. I sure don't mind doing it. I've been using these since... Well... Always. I use Bluetooth trackball and keyboard and could never go back to being tethered to a desk and mousepad.

As someone who’s used one for years, going back to a “normal mouse” feels like a bigger learning curve than sticking to what I’m used to. Sure my movement can look a little funky to my teammates, but I still hit Gold 2 with it and have beaten fellow higher ranked peers. It’s about practice and comfortability. If you don’t feel comfortable using it, it probably isn’t the mouse for you. Just like standard gaming mice. Ultimately, it’s all up to preference, someone got to radiant with an OSU pad so an ergo mouse is not that weird to play with.

Try a finger trackball. You get more precision but a slightly higher learning curve. It's worth it and is also great for production. (For gaming, get an Elecom Deft or Kensington Orbit Fusion, NOT EXPERT OR SLIMBLADE)

What brand I’m handicapped and I can’t move my hand but I can use trackball and I have one but mx ergo I just bought it but I can’t move it a little when I game idk know why what do you recommend a mouse like trackball

@@mohammedadel4278 Personally I use the Kensington Orbit Fusion daily, but I heard Gameball is getting a pro model. As long you can use 1-2 fingers (the more the better) you're good.

Honestly, I actually recommend console players and Steam Controller players to convert to trackball before anything. I find that if you’re truly used to having direct thumb control over your aim, a trackball offers that in abundance. At a finer rate as well, it’s almost the equivalent of a hall effect sensor.

The Steam Deck also features dual trackpads that emulate trackballs. Makes me want to try playing an FPS on it now.

That’s cause side mounted track balls are awful, and stupid, inherently. Trackball enthusiasts, widely, don’t use them. You need top mount; minimal base exposure; lower friction. All fingers available, not just your thumb.
